True love isn't all picnics and candlelit dinners (ahem... Lucas and Elizabeth). Sometimes true love is something a little more real. Not always grand gestures, but ones that come directly from the heart. The story picks up in the summer after the Season 8 finale, focusing on Nathan, Allie, and Hope Valley's newest teacher. Peppered with all the other Hope Valley citizens we love.

Nathan and Elizabeth finally find their way to one another during the Christmas 1918 season. This story takes place after Season 8, Episode 11 and one year after the When Hope Calls Christmas movie. This is my version of what should have happened in the Season 8 finale and subsequent Christmas.

It is December of 1915 and the residents of Hope Valley are preparing for the holiday season. Wishes will be made on the Wishing Tree. Can the tree work its magic as the people of Hope Valley open their arms to some travelers while working to make the holiday special for everyone.

Elizabeth and Lucas met in Cambridge England as they finished their last semester of college. Fast forward five years when they meet again and Lucas finds out shes been keeping a huge secret. Will Elizabeth let him in on it?

This is a collection of short/one offs that I have written over time outside of my Conversations of the Heart series of letters and story which focus on Lucas and Elizabeth. This collection I am creating contains some stories in my True to Lucas and Elizabeth Shorts that are K/K and may with time contain stories focused on other characters in Hope Valley.

A unique Nathan and Elizabeth story that takes place in Dec of 1909. Nathan needing a wife to care for Allie sends for a mail order bride. While in Hamilton Elizabeth is given an ultimatum by her father and chooses to follow a different path and agrees to be his bride. Will this be a match made in heaven?

New visitors are in Hope Valley. One brings warmth of their personality, the other brings warmth of their smoke pipe. But both have their own cold, hidden secrets. Which of the two will leave a frozen mark for the community of Hope Valley? Who truly loves the town and who only sees it as personal and work business? They do have one connection; Gustave Pepin.

While apple picking with her son, in early Fall 1918, Hope Valley's compassionate schoolteacher with cinnamon curls comes across her town's thoughtful Mountie with striking eyes, who is gathering apples with his daughter. With autumn as a backdrop, the teacher and Mountie pair finally brush away the layers of leaves concealing their innermost feelings to reveal their hearts.

Someone new arrives in Hope Valley. Can Hope Valley heal her heart, and can the Town Mountie help her resolve the issues from her past so she can Trust in Love, and him.

Nathan and Elizabeth find their way to one another after the prisoner transfer and Elizabeth’s hug, which stirs up feelings that both were unaware of. This is a glimpse of what could have been if things had gone in a different direction after the hug. A fun glimpse at these two as they celebrate Christmas and discover the depth of their love.

Widower Nathan Grant transfers to Hope Valley with his niece, Allie and his sister, Colleen to hide from Colleen's ex-husband/Allie's father. While in Hope Valley, Nathan meets Elizabeth and begins to tear down the walls he put up after his wife died. Will Nathan and Elizabeth open their hearts to love? Meanwhile, Colleen catches the eye of one particular man in town.

She knows love and knows that she won't settle for anything less than sparks. Lucas Bouchard just moved to town and is raising his daughter alone. After his wife died, he hasn't thought about dating. Until now.
