Note: some words may be spelt differently for some of you because of where I live. We spell it mum not mom, thought I'd point this out, so I didn't annoy the hell out of you :) also, sorry the chapters are short. I've never written anything in chapters before, and I'm also trying to make a chapter come out every 2-3 days.
Chapter 3
They all watched Ash as he stormed off.
"That was a bit harsh, don't you think?" Clemont said, looking In Gary's direction.
"I'll go check on him!" Serena half shouted before anyone else said anything. She got up from her chair and walked towards Ash's room.
"Pika," the mouse said in a soft, comforting, tone.
"I know, after all these years, you'd think he'd be nicer! He didn't win a league either!" he yelled into his pillow. The yellow mouse rubbed along the trainers back to comfort him.
"Ash?" Serena said as she knocked against the door. "Can I come in?"
"Go away!" he yelled. Serena didn't listen. She slowly opened the door and approached the bed. As she sat on the end of the bed, Ash groaned.
"Don't listen to him Ash, he doesn't know what he's talking about," she said. She was staring at him. Ash said nothing.
"Pika!" Pikachu yelled as he pointed his tiny hand towards the door. The girl listened to the mouse and left the room, closing the door behind her.
"So?" Gary asked her as she came back to the table. She didn't sit though, instead she grabbed her food and drink and went to her own room.
"God, what's up with her?" He asked.
"She gets really cranky when ash is upset or something," Bonnie explained.
She roughly placed the meal onto a nightstand in her room.
"I don't get why Ash even listens to him! He's a jerk to Ash! And that name, ugh, it's like he's trying to get Ash to fall for his stupid act!" serena yelled. She was pacing back and forth around her room, with her Pokémon watching her every step. They all nodded their heads and made a noise of agreement, which she wasn't sure if that was them actually agreeing or trying to comfort her.
"Ash? You in there?" Gary asked from behind the closed door.
"Pika!" the mouse shouted. Gary slowly opened the door to see Ash asleep, his legs kneeling on the ground as his head rested on the bed. Gary walked over to the sleeping boy with a small smile plastered onto his face. His deep blue eyes showed a trace of sadness. He wrapped his arms around the sleeping body. Once he had a good grip, he lifted the body onto the bed fully. Gary headed towards the door, where he paused before leaving.
"I'm sorry Ash, I was just joking," he said sympathetically as he closed the door.
Why did I have to be such a douche to him! I'm such a jerk! Gary thought to himself as he lay on his bed. He had a pillow shoved against his face.
"Brio," the Pokémon beside him said in a soft purr like way.
"Thanks, but I don't need or deserve comforting," He said as he pat the Pokémon beside him. There was a knock at his door.
"Coming," he muffled. As he stood, the door opened. Serena walked over to him.
"Ye.." before he could finish, he was slapped across the face.
"I don't care if your Ash's childhood friend or what! Stay the fuck away from him!" she shouted as she slapped him again. He winced as her hand came into contact with his face for the second time. He went to say something back but was shoved onto his bed.
"Stay away from him," she said in a low, menacing growl like voice before storming out of his room. The brunet looked at his partner Pokémon who was standing beside the bed, ready to attack at her trainer's command.
"No Umbreon, not yet."
