AN: I bought the Sims 3 recently. I think it's pretty fun. Anyways, this one is centered around Marinette. Hope you enjoy this one. I know I said I'd try and have a schedule, but it's more enjoyable to write in my own time. I won't forget you guys I promise!

Chapter 7:

Marinette, for once, wasn't running late. She leisurely strolled to school at a relaxed pace she usually isn't lucky enough to enjoy. She walked slowly, feeling great from being able to take her time that morning. Tikki was somehow able to wake her up on time and for that Marinette was grateful.

"Marinette, you should send compliments to your dad for me. These cookies are especially delicious today." said kwami said with a mouthful of chocolate chip cookie.

"I will Tikki. I'm glad you like them. I think Dad finally tried that new recipe he said he wanted to try. She walked up the stairs up to the big front door one at a time. She came into the school, took a deep breath, and was immediately bombarded by Alya.

"Marinette! Girl! You know how I mentioned another superhero coming around?" Alya said quickly and excitedly.

"Yeah? What about it? Did you find more evidence?" Marinette asked skeptically.

"Yes! I haven't been able to get a visit with that criminal because of visitation laws and things. But! Take a look at this!"

Alya basically shoved her phone into Marinette's hands and hit play. It looked like Alya was interviewing a young man in his 20's.

"Hey guys! Alya here and this is John but you'd know him as Superherofan23. He reached out to me saying he has information about the nighttime superhero. What do you have to say John?"

"Thank you Alya. So last night I saw a shadow go right past my window. Alright. I was playing some video games in my apartment, and my window is right next to the emergency exit. I looked over and there was a boy. Teenager probably. He was looking at something with green light coming out of it."

Alya's expression became more and more excited by the second. "Really?! Oh my goodness did you see what he looked like? Any more deets?"

"Let's see. He looked like this." John asked for a piece of paper and pen and a few seconds later he gave alya a picture that described it really well. He did a great job.

He had bright catlike eyes and wild hair. He was wearing a tight suit with cat ears and a tail, a little odd but to be honest life at this point is odd. Tall and lean, but not too skinny. He looked ridiculously handsome Marinette had to admit to herself. Meanwhile Alya freaked out.

"Ahhhhh! You're so talented!." Alya squealed as John waved it off. "One more question though. Were you able to see any colors?"

"Well, his eyes are green. They glowed like a cat's."

"Woah! That's amazing. I've got to go now. Thanks so much for contacting me. Can I take a pic and put it on the blog?" Alya said. He nodded.

"Thanks for watching Y'all! I'll put this on the blog. Also, he needs a name. Since he won't come out and name himself, let's come up with one for him. Let's say the one with the most likes gets it. Let's make the deadline three days. Bye!"

The video ended and went back to the ladyblog website.

"So Marinette. You believe me now?" Alya asked with a smug expression. Marinette thought for a moment.

'I don't know Alya. I've seen a bunch of the posts and things but I still think it's a rumor. I'll believe it when I see him. I don't like to jump to conclusions. Maybe if he shows up on the news."

Two days later, marinette was playing videogames with her father while her mother was on her phone waiting to take dinner out of the oven. She looked up and smiled once in a while.

"Dad. You know you can't beat me!"

"Oh marinette. I've practiced a bit. I won't go down easily." he said and then gaped as marinette took him down with three moves. Marinette then looked to him with a smug expression. Tom looked at her with an appalled expression.

"Okay that's not fair." Then they both looked back at Sabine as she shuffled through the kitchen and pulled their dinner out of the oven. She called them over and they sat at the table.

"Hey Tom. Apparently they found that little girl. Did you hear?"

"You mean they found Abby?" Tom asked excitedly.

"Yes. Apparently she was being kept in the sewers against her will."

"Oh goodness. She's been kept in there for how long?" Marinette asked. Marinette is a kind girl at heart and hates hearing about what other people do to people. She was obviously very sad.

"She was reported missing about two months ago. The funny thing is that they interviewed her and she said he was saved by a cat boy." This had marinette surprised.

"Cat boy? I've heard rumors of someone like that. I think they call him Chat noir now." Tom said. Wait, really? Marinette thought.

After dinner she went upstairs to her room under the excuse of homework. She was planning on doing it, but there was something more urgent. She checked the ladyblog comments under the picture of the boy John drew. Marinette was amazed.

'Yeah guys we should name him. It'll make him sound better with a name.'

'Yeah. Any ideas?'

'Chat noir anyone?'

Chat Noir was Marinette's idea. After school two days before she decided that if he was real, she should have some say in it. So she commented the name and fought an akuma, because one made a nearby building explode right as she hit send. She then forgot about it. Now she looked at the comments and it exploded. People loved it.

'That sounds so smooth. I love it."

'Ooh that's an amazing name. It's so simple but it fits the picture perfectly.'

'It's such a handsome name. Let's make it official!''

'Chat Noir for the win Y'all!'

The list of nice comments went on and on. There were two or three other name suggestions but none of them sounded right in their eyes.

Tikki then decided to make herself known. "What do you think Marinette?"

"This is pretty exciting actually. Hey, did you know about this? Is this Chat Noir a hero like me?" Marinette asked. Tikki looked slightly nervous.

"I think so. The counterpart to your miraculous is the Black cat. It has the power of destruction. I thought they might have changed their minds about sending it out since it took so long for them to come."

"Tikki. Why didn't you tell me about this? We could have worked together this whole time." Marinette asked curiously. Tikki suddenly had a sad expression on her face.

"That isn't always a good idea."

That had Marinette stunned. Tikki was never sad. Marinette decided to drop it, after one question.

"Do you think I can meet him?" Marinette asked.

Tikki thought for a moment before saying: "If you want. Just be careful."

Marinette did a little happy dance and then decided to actually work on her homework, hoping she doesn't get interrupted like last night.

BOOM!

She jinxed herself. Marinette sighed and called on her transformation.

"Spots On!"

She jumped up to her loft and through her trapdoor in two leaps. She swung off into the sunset with her yo-yo and went in the direction of the screams. It wasn't too hard.

She ducked onto the railing of a tall building and looked at the scene. A young lady with grey skin, glowing yellow eyes, and rocks making the entirety of a medieval dress was sending meteors the size of cars out of the sky with a point of her finger.

"Meteors aren't just pieces of rock! They are an amazing part of space! I'll show you!" she angrily shouted as three more crashed into an apartment building. Ladybug decided she better take action now.

"Hey! Meteors are amazing, but not everyone has to agree." she called out.

"Ladybug! Give me your miraculous or i'll crush you like the insect you are!"

"Well, I'm sorry but that's not the first time i've been told i'd be squashed, but I doubt a rock will do it." This made the akuma growl and conjure more rocks in the sky. It made a large apartment building crumble and people started falling out. Acting quickly, Marinette called out the lucky charm, which was a large polka dotted landing mat and she put it where the people will land and caught the few stragglers. Right as she was finished, she was pelted with rocks again.

Dodge, throw yo-yo, dodge, try to find akuma, dodge, tie akuma up, she escapes, dodge, dodge, dodge. The only thing she got so far was that her ring glowed every time a meteor came from the sky. That's probably where the akuma was, but she couldn't catch her.

"Is this the best you can do Ladybug?" Meteor shower, as the akuma calls herself. Suddenly a neon purple symbol appeared in front of her face as Hawkmoth communicated with her. She then smiled evilly.

"If you don't give me your miraculous, this block will be crushed." she said as an asteroid the size of paris started materializing in the skyline. It had ladybug scared, since she didn't know if she could stop it. It was right above the gran paris hotel, and she could hear panicked noises coming from inside.

"What's it going to be ladybug? One… Two… Huh?"

Then the strangest thing happened. Just as ladybug was about to give up, the asteroid started deteriorating. It started from a point on the side of it, and it spread like acid. In the corner of her vision, she saw a shadow disappear into the night but she didn't dwell on it for long. The akuma sat amazed at what was happening and Ladybug saw her opportunity. She yo-yoed in the akuma, slipped off the ring and crushed it in her palm.

When all was right in the world again, she turned to the victim. She was an astrologist who was at a conference an hour previously. The people booed her and called her talk lame. She was filled with rage at their unwillingness to look beyond their boxed way of thinking. She felt so bad about what happened after.

"Was I-?" she asked through a stuffy nose and tears started welling up.

"Well yes. Negative emotions are a normal part of life. I'm just sorry that Hawkmoth picked you." Ladybug tried to console her.

She sniffled. "Ladybug. You're amazing, you know that?"

Ladybug smiled. "I'm glad you think so. What would you think about trying that talk again? Something good has to come of this right?"

"But-"

"Come on. I'm sure at least a few people thought the meteors you summoned were cool. A lot of people like how destructive some things are. I just think you weren't looking in the right place."

"You think so?" the lady said in disbelief. Marinette heard a beep. One minute. Crap.

"Yes. Now, I think you should go home and get some rest. You've had a big day."

"Okay. Thanks for everything." she said as she got up off the sidewalk and started calling a cab. Ladybug then zipped off and called off her transformation in an empty alleyway behind an old couch. Tikki landed tiredly in her palms.

"Here Tikki. Let's get you some food so I can get home-" Marinette's eyes widened. She had forgotten her bag and phone at home. She knew where she was, it's just that she couldn't transform and she couldn't call a cab.

"Well Tikki, I guess we have to walk home." Tikki nodded and went into Marinette's jacket. Then she started walking.

Adrien was sure glad he transformed when he did. Ladybug looked like she was in a pickle. He was just glad she was able to get it over with quickly after. He reflected on it for a moment. This was the first time he's used his superpower. The power in his hand after calling "Cataclysm!" was exhilarating but terrifying at the same time. Feeling it seep out of him and into the rock was amazing. Seeing the asteroid crumble brought him great satisfaction but also a feeling of caution, his conscience telling him that this shouldn't be used lightly.

He looked at the time on his baton. It was a little earlier than he usually came out but he decided to stay. He'd be out in like 15 minutes anyways.

Marinette took the time to admire Paris at night. The lights at the center of the city are always beautiful. The Eiffel tower glowed in the distance. She ventured away from the center of the city on her route home. It gets darker and darker the further away she gets from the center. She crossed a bridge over the seine, and into a dark street. Wait, I don't recognise this street. Marinette slightly panicked. She knows Paris pretty well, but she hasn't been over here before. How she ended up here she didn't know, but as she was about to trace her steps backwards, she was grabbed from behind and pulled into the blackness of an alleyway. She was thrown against a wall with enough force to knock the air out of her lungs. She looked up and there were three massive figures in front of her. Their backs were facing the lights, and she only saw the shadows. Outlines. She fought for her breath and tried to scream as she struggled to get up. Two of them strolled up to her and pinned her arms to her sides with ease and gagged her quick as a snap. The other one came up to her and spoke.

"You know, since the cops found our old spot and our little money maker, we've been needing a new subject. I'd imagine we can get a lot of money for your blood." The one in the middle said with a scratchy voice. His breath smelled like alcohol and cigarettes. Marinette's eyes widened in horror. She was going to be taken and sold to the black market. Someone please help me.

They started to drag her towards a black van just outside of the alleyway. Marinette struggled but these men were strong. Will I ever see mom and dad again? What about Alya and Adrien and Nino? Am I going to die? Just as she started to tire and tears welled in her eyes, a blur and a line of green flashed in her vision.

"Huh?" the one in charge asked. Suddenly he was knocked out with what looked like a silver rod.

"Found you." A figure with glowing green eyes said with a slight growl as the man crumpled to the ground. The other two dropped Marinette and charged after him. The figure turned into a blur again as he knocked out the other two. It looked a bit harder since the element of surprise was gone but it only took a minute. They flopped to the floor. Then glowing green eyes turned to her. Marinette was startled for a split second before she saw the uncertainty in his eyes. He slowly went to her with his hands where she could see them. He then crouched down next to her. Then she was able to see him properly. This was Chat noir from the picture on the ladyblog. The miraculous holder that's been working during the night.

His voice was smooth as honey and very kind.

"Okay. I'm going to untie you. You're safe now. These guys can't hurt you now." he said with uncertainty as he untied the gag from her head and sliced the ropes off of her wrists. Marinette then reacted. She looped her arms around his waist and sobbed into his shoulders.

"T-thank you s-so much." Marinette cried and hugged him tightly. He gently put his arms around her shoulders and tried his best to comfort her. He let her let it all out for a bit and then looked her in the eyes.

"I need to contact the police and get these guys behind bars. I'll take you home right after I call them. Okay?" he backed up a bit and took the rod off of his back. It clicked and he spoke.

"Hey, I caught them. There was a victim but she's safe now."

"You caught them? The same guys?" a man Marinette recognised as Roger asked.

"Yes."

Chat gave them an address as Roger came to a tangent. Chat noir rolled his eyes and turned to marinette.

"I'm going to take you home. Do you mind if I tell them your name so you can get a lawsuit later?" he quietly told her. Marinette shook her head.

"Sure. Just take me home. My name's Marinette Dupain-Cheng." She whispered back.

Chat noir spoke as Roger paused."Okay I'm going to take her home. Her name's Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and I'm sure she'll come to you guys later. Bye!" Roger tried to protest a bit but Chat hung up. He then got up and then helped her to her feet.

"So, I have a few options for you. I can jump on the rooftops but I know some people don't like that, so I could also just stay on the ground."

"Either way is fine."

"Alright. Rooftops is fine. Tell me if you change your mind okay?"

She nodded as she clasped her arms around his neck. He picked her up bridal style and leapt onto the nearest roof.

Flying through the air as Marinette is way different than being Ladybug. But, she didn't hate it either. She liked being able to hang on to something sturdy, and she felt safe knowing Chat won't drop her. She didn't know him very well, but she could tell he was trustworthy. He treated her so kindly. She looked up at his focused expression and before she knew it they arrived.

He landed softly in front of the Bakery. "Is this it?"

"Yes." she said as she was put down.

"Alright. Please be a little more careful next time okay?"

She nodded. She then went up to him and kissed him on the cheek.

"Thank you. You be safe too." she turned and walked inside. If she'd have looked back she'd have noticed the vibrant pink dusting his cheeks and the slight stumble as he disappeared into the night.

AN: Thanks for waiting. It took me a while to decide the kind of introduction I should have. I couldn't decide between having it be with Marinette as Ladybug or not. I decided on this and I'll use something similar to the Ladynoir plan later. Thanks for reading.
