( 1 ) A Mission
Lucy's POV
I woke up this morning and I really didn't want to go into the guild today because Gramps sent Gajeel and Lily on a mission two days ago, The Thunder Legion went on month long mission and they wont be back for another 2 weeks, Wendy is training on her healing magic with Porlyusica and Carla went with them to watch over Wendy like she normally does. Happy went on a mission with Team Natsu and Gramps is always busy with his paper work and I don't want to disturb him... After a couple of minutes with just laying in bed I thought ' Maybe I should just go the guild and get a solo mission so I can get away until everyone gets back. So that way I'm not hold up in my apartment again... ' So I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom and walked over to the bath tub and started the warm water and added my favorite apple bubble bath. Once the tub was full I got undressed and got in and soaked in the tub for a good hour before I started to wash my hair with my honey shampoo and conditioner then I washed my body with my apple body wash. When the water started to get cold I got a little sad because... It was a very relaxing bath but the water was getting cold and if I could drain half the tub and re-fill it with hot water I would... If I did that then I would live in this bath forever but my tub dreams can't come true sadly... So I got out and pulled the plug then grabbed my fluffy pink towel and wrapped it around my body and then I got my other fluffy pink towel and wrapped it around my hair for it dry then I walked over to my sink to brushed my teeth. Then I walked out of my bathroom and over to my closet to pick my outfit for the day... I wanted to wear something cute and comfortable but I didn't want to wear what I normally wear so I decided on a simple flowy black skirt and a gray off the shoulder crop top. Then I put my favorite black and red combat boots on lastly I put my belt on with my keys and whip. I walked back into the bathroom and went over to the sink brushed and dried my hair and I wanted to do something with it but I didn't want pig tails or a side pony so I just put my hair half up and the other half is lightly curled with some braids on the left side of my hair.
Once I was finished doing my hair I walked out of my bathroom and made my way to the kitchen and made myself something simple to eat that was just eggs with a couple slices of bacon and once I finished eating I made my way out of my apartment, when I got to the street I took one of my keys off of my belt
" Open Gate of the little dog, Canis Minor " I summon

" Hello Plue... Lets get to the guild shall we? " I ask Plue while he does his little cute dance
" Puunnnn pun pun "
That's when we started our walk to guild as we balancing on the edge of the canal like we do every time we walk to the guild with our arms out to our side to help keep ourselves balanced so we don't fall in to the cold water
" Be careful Miss Lucy... "
" We wouldn't want you to fall in and get wet or hurt " The boat men yelled at me
" Don't worry I'll be careful " I yell back with a big smile on my face while waving at them and I look down at Plue who was also waving at them too. When we got to the guild I didn't want Plue to go back to the spirit world just yet and I think he knew that because he put his little arms up waiting for me to pick him up, when I picked Plue up we made our way into the guild. I didn't bother to say my hello's because I already know that they will just ignore me so I just made my way over to the request board so I can get my own mission get it approved by Gramps and be on my way out.
Gajeel's POV
Today started like any other day I woke up with Lily still sleeping on the pillow next to me so I got out of bed went to the bathroom and over to my shower and turned on the warm water and got undressed and then got in. Washed my hair with my sand wood shampoo and conditioner then I washed my body with my non scented body wash and after I finished washing myself I stood in the warm water to wake myself up even more... After a couple of minutes in the water I turned it off and step out and wrapped myself in my white towel around my hips and then I make my way over to the sink to brush my teeth and then I dried and brushed my hair. Then I went back to my room and went to my closet to put on my normal clothes I always put on when I go to the guild or go on missions or basically any where then I walked over to my bed...
" Lily wake up we need to get to the guild " I say while shaking him a little bit and when he woke up I stopped shaking him and he looks at me with sleepy eyes and just nods his head and gets up and grabs his sword and puts it on his back. Then we made our way of the house and on our way to the guild.
" Do you think Lucy will be at the guild today? She thinks that we will be back tomorrow and she normally doesn't go to the guild when we aren't there " Lily asks/ says as he flew onto my shoulder. I know that's true... Over these past six months with everyone in that stupid guild except Soul Boy ( Bickslow ), Rune Boy ( Freed ), Stone Girl ( Evergreen) ,The Old Man ( Master ), Squirt ( Wendy ), Tea Cat (Carla) and Fish Cat ( Happy ) have been ignoring Bunny Girl, and I know for a fact that she doesn't like going to the guild when we aren't there and I know the Thunder Legion won't be back for another 2 weeks. Squirt is with the human hating woman for her healing magic and won't be back for some time. Over these six months me, Lily, Bunny, Soul Boy, Rune Boy, Stone Girl, The Old Man, Squirt, Tea Cat and Fish Cat have gotten a lot more closer and I never would have thought I would get close to anyone in this guild when I first joined. At first I thought only shrimp would be the only one to talk to me but then the most unexpected thing happened when Bunny started talking to me one day; Then after we got back from Edolus I got Lily as a partner and Bunny got everyone in the guild except for a few people to ignore and act like she doesn't even exist. When Shrimp did the same thing that everyone else did Bunny started to go on farther and longer missions and my inner dragon started to get even more angrier then it did before and every time I would go into that guild and I didn't see her for weeks my inner dragon would just growl the whole time until Bunny came back so I did the best thing for both me and my inner dragon... I asked her to join me and Lily on a mission and the moment Bunny said yes that what made my inner dragon purr in happiness with thought of her coming along on a mission with us and just for being able to be close to her...
" I don't know... I hope she is... If not we can just go to her apartment " I say looking a head of us.
" Sounds like a plan " Lily says and once when we get to the guild I open the doors and started to look around and when I didn't see my Bunny any where I was about to leave to head over to her apartment when
" GAJEEL, LILY MY OFFICE... NOW..." The old man yells from the second floor and when I look up he was heading back into his office
" Come on Gajeel we can see what he wants and go over to Lucy's place after " Lily says and I just nod in agreement even though I really want to see my Bunny Girl right now cause I haven't seen her in a couple of days.
Lucy's POV
I was still standing in front of the mission board holding Plue still looking for a mission... ' There isn't any good solo missions today' I was about to give up and just head back to my apartment and wait for tomorrow when Gajeel and Lily come back home... That was my plan until
" Mornin Bunny " Gajeel says from behind me I couldn't help the little smile that came on my face when I heard his voice
" Good morning Lucy " Lily says as he lands on my shoulder and my smile grew wider with his voice too
" Good morning Gajeel, good morning Lily " I say to them still looking for at the mission board... Making it seem like I'm still looking for a mission when I'm really not...
" Are you looking for a mission? " Lily asks
" Yes... I thought that you guys were coming back tomorrow and I just wanted to get out of town for the day... But I just can't find one that I like..." I say with some sadness in my voice
" Well we came over here to ask if you want to go on a mission with us? " Lily says and I look over at him on my shoulder to see him with a smile on his face and then I look over at Gajeel and he just nods at me.
" But I thought you just got back from a mission? " I ask a little confused
" We did... But Master called us in his office today and gave us another one " Lily says and I just turn around looking right up at Gajeel
" The old man gave us a year mission and we wanted to know if you wanted to come along? It could work out for the both of us... We do what the old man wants and you can get away from everyone in this place for a year... By the time we get back is when the S - Class trials will be taken place... That's what the old man said any way " Gajeel says with a bored tone in his voice but I also saw a lot of hope in his eyes... That does sound nice a year away from this place... Just the thing I need... Then my mind went to those who are my true family and before I can ask about them I think Gajeel knew I would ask about them " Don't worry old man said he will let them know about this mission and we will keep in contact with them so don't worry... Okay? " Gajeel added and I just nods my head to him
" Okay well then... Ummmm... I'm in... When do we leave? " I ask but then I was wondering on how we will get there and what we will be doing" Are going by train or walking? What is this mission we are taking anyways? " I ask
" We leave tomorrow... So you can let your land lady know about you being gone and we will be going by train part of the way and walking the rest ... I'll tell you about the mission at the train station so go pack and get your self situated... Alright? " Gajeel says/ asks
" Okay " I say smiling at him " Can we go out for some food before I go back and start packing please? " I ask with my best puppy eyes and he just lightly laughs at me and then we head to the front doors. When he gets there he holds the door open for me I blush lightly at his kindness...
