( 2 ) Getting Ready. . .
Lucy's POV
When we left the guild I was still holding Plue close to my chest while he was holding onto my arm tightly and Lily was still standing on my shoulder while he was holding onto my head with his little paw, as Gajeel and I were walking side by side to our favorite restaurant that is close to the guild.
" How was your mission? " I ask both Gajeel and Lily while looking ahead of us
" Boring and slow " Gajeel said in a bored tone when I look over at him he was crossing his arms over his chest and he had a little frown on his face for a split second before he covered it up with one of his normal mean faces he always has on...
" You were only gone for a couple of days " I say with a small giggle at the end trying to hide the sadness in my voice... Hoping he wouldn't notice it... Cause ever since I started to go on missions with Gajeel and Lily I always hate it when Gramps would send them on missions with out me because Gramps would want me to stay near the guild for some reason... I think I know why he wants me to stay near the guild because some of the missions he sends them on are really dangerous and he only gives them the missions when Team Natsu and The Thunder Legion are already out on a mission or they aren't available to go on them... Gajeel and Lily are very strong and capable mages
" But... That was a couple of days with out you with us " Gajeel mumbles and I couldn't hold back the blush but it made me really happy to hear him say this...
" Going on missions with out you isn't the same anymore " Lily says with a small smile and I was very happy that they felt the exact same way I do... " At least this time you get to come on this new mission with us...! " Lily added with so much happiness in his voice I couldn't help but giggle a tiny bit
" I am too... I don't know what I would do with myself for a year with out you guys being here... I know I have everyone else that still talks to me but... " I say with so much sadness in my voice that I couldn't even finish where my train of thought was going... Also at the same time I didn't even want to finish where they were going anyways... When I started to feel tears in my eyes I held Plue a little bit tighter to my chest and I looked to the ground to try and hid my eyes from view but the second I felt a hand on my back I snapped my head up and saw Gajeel looking at me with the softest eyes I've ever seen him with. Then he ran his thumb under my eyes very gently to get rid of the tears that I didn't even know that was streaming down my face and then I also felt Lily patting my head softly, and I also felt Plue wiggle a little in my arms and he was also petting my arm to make feel better... I have to say it was working perfectly... With Gajeel being so gentle and with Lily and Plue being very caring I mean how can I not feel better...
" I know... I know Bunny " Gajeel says with a small smile that he only shows me and it always made me feel special to him every single time... " Now come on lets get some thing to eat " Gajeel adds softly
" Yeah... We do still need to pack for a year long mission " I say with a small smile and Gajeel just nods his head and we go into the restaurant... Lily fly's off my shoulder and goes onto Gajeel's shoulder; Once we were lead to a booth I took a seat while putting Plue in the middle of the table and Gajeel sat right next to me and Lily sat on the other side of the booth... After a couple of minutes a very tall man with short brown hair and blue eyes with a waiter's uniform comes over to our table holding a pen and a small note book..
" What can I get you guys? " The waiter asked with a small smile and a very kind voice
" Ummm... Can I get a chicken sandwich with some fries...! Also do you have any lollipops here? " I say/ ask with a small smile
" Of course ma'am... We do have some flavors of lollipops.. The only flavors we have is strawberry and watermelon " The waiter says and I look over at Plue
" Do you want both Plue? " I ask Plue and he looks like he was deep in thought because he was drooling a little bit with a big smile on his little face, and then he shacks his head when he hears me giggle and looks right at me...
" Pun pun puuun pun puuuun... Pun Pun "
" Okay... Can I get four of the Strawberry lollipops and four of the watermelon lollipops please? " I ask when I looked back at the waiter " Can I also get a strawberry milkshake please? " I add when I realized I forgot to order a drink...
" Of course ma'am... And would you two like? " The waiter says to me and then asks Gajeel and Lily when he looked at them
" I'll just get a beer and two 20 oz steaks and three cheese burgers with fries " Gajeel says with a bored tone with his arms crossed and not looking at him...
" I'll also have a 20 oz steak but just one and also can I can get a big bowl of kiwi's and I'll also get a kiwi milk shake please " Lily asks with a very kind voice also with a small smile
" Of course sir... I'll get this to the kitchen and I'll be right back with all of your drinks " The waiter says as he finishes up writing our order and then he walks away and went to the kitchen to put our order in. After about 20 minutes he comes back with all of our drinks on a tray... After he give us our drinks I took a big sip from my milkshake and then Plue wobbles over to my milkshake and take a small sip from it... I couldn't help but giggle at him for being so adorable...
- - Time Skip Two Hours Later - -
About an hour into our meal I can see Plue was getting tired so I sent him back to the Sprite Realm with one of his lollipops and then I put the four left over lollipops on my belt; After we finished eating our meal Gajeel pays for the whole thing even after I said I can pay for half of it but the stubborn dragon slayer wouldn't let me. When we left the restaurant Lily flew up and sat on Gajeel's shoulder and then we made our way to my apartment cause they both didn't want me walking home alone; When I get in front of my apartment
" I'll meet you at the train station at 8 " Gajeel says
" That wounds like a plan... I'll see you both tomorrow then " I say with a small smile
" See you tomorrow have a good night sleep " Lily says with a small smile
" You too " I say and then Gajeel walks down the street in the direction of where his house is in and I turn around and walk into my apartment building and and I went up to where my land lady's room is. When I got to her room I told her about the year long mission and that she can rent out that room while I was gone so she can make some money and I don't have to worry about the year rent. Before I left I payed for this months rent and told her I would leave my key under my door mate. With that I went to my apartment room
" Open Gate Of The Maiden, Virgo " I say

" What can I do for you princess? " Virgo asks with a blank stare and her normal emotionless tone " Punishment time? " Virgo adds but I did see a little spark of excitement in her eyes for a split second before they went back to her normal blank stare... I have always wanted to know why she asks for punishment every time she comes out from the Spirit Realm but at the same time I don't want to ask... Cause I have a feeling I'm not going to like the answer to that question so that's why I don't ask... Like ever...
" No punishment Virgo... Can you help me pack everything in my apartment up please? " I ask with a big smile on my face and with my hand in front of me in a begging motion
" Why? Are you moving to a different place? Or did you finally quiet that guild " Virgo asks with her normal emotionless expression but when she asked the last question I saw some hope in her eyes... I know that all my spirits want me to quiet Fairy tail and start over some place else with different people who wont treat me like unwanted trash and a replacement for someone else... I mean they do like how some people didn't do that to me... I understand where there coming from I really do but I'm not ready to leave those who still see me as family...
" No I'm not moving to a different place and no I didn't quiet the guild... Actually Gajeel and Lily invited me to go on a year long mission with them and I told my land lady that she can rent this room out while I was gone... So that way I don't have to worry about paying a years worth of rent... It's really a win win situation " I say with a small smile and after a couple of minutes of silence " So will you help me pack please? " I add while giving her my best puppy dog eyes
" Yes of course I'll help... I'm sure everyone is happy that you will be leaving for a year... Wish it was longer " Virgo says and mumbles the last part but I still heard her I just didn't comment on it
" Okay... Can you start out here and I'll start in the bed room... Virgo would it be okay to send my thing in the spirit realm? If not I can find a storage place... " I ask while rambling on
" I can hold your things in the Spirit Realm " Virgo says and I was very happy to hear that... So after that being said Virgo went back to spirit realm and came back with a lot of boxes for us to use. Then Virgo got started packing everything in my living room and I went to my bedroom and started packing everything in here; When we finally got everything packed Virgo took everything back to the spirit realm and she also agreed to bring me what ever I need during my mission. I also got me a little travel bag with my Communication Lacrima and also two of my favorite books so I can read on the train ride. I also kept some other things so that I can take a shower and brush my teeth and some something to wear to bed...
" If that is all then I will take my leave " Virgo says with a small bow
" Yes thank you so much for your help Virgo " I say and after she went back to the Spirit realm I ran my hand over Horologium's key and I was shocked that it was already one in the morning... So I went to my bathroom and walked over to my sink to brush my teeth and then went over to my shower and started the warm water. I got undressed and went under the warm water I really didn't want to be in here for that long so I started to wash my hair with my honey shampoo and conditioner. After that I washed my body with my apple body wash and when I finished up cleaning myself I turned the water off and wrapped myself in my white fluffy towel. Then I dried off and got dressed in a simple pink tank top and black boy shorts and went back over to my sink to blow dry my hair so I'm not going to bed with wet hair... Now that I'm finally done getting dried and putting my pajama's on I walked back out of the bathroom and placed my towel and dirty clothing on my desk to give to Virgo in the morning. Then I finally crawled into bed and got under the covers and then fell asleep right away. I was getting excited about the new adventure I was going to go on with Gajeel and Lily...
