OK GUYS YOU ALL ARE FREAKIN AWESOME. I MEAN I ASKED FOR TWO REVIEWS ON A CHAPTER THAT WAS WAY TOO SMALL AND YOU GUYS SHOWER ME WITH 9 REVIEWS! LIKE LITERALLY 9! I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER. SO WITHOUT ANY FURTHER A DO OR BORING YOU MUCH I PRESENT YOU THE SECOND CHAPTER 2 MY STORY.
CHAPTER 2- FRIENDS
ANNABETH'S POV
Annabeth analyzed the guy standing in front of her. He looked funny. His hair were jet black and he was wearing an orange shirt with a pair of jeans. But what caught Annabeth's attention were his sea green eyes. Those eyes seemed to captivate her and drown her into their ocean. She would have kept on thinking if it wasn't for her best friend piper who suddenly jerked her.
Ok now she realized she was going into her own trail of thoughts, so she quickly gathered her thoughts and spoke, "well, next time hopefully you will be more careful. I am Annabeth chase and I sincerely hope that we do not meet in the future. Now, I would rather not waste my time talking to you and be late to class, so bye" she flashed him a smile and walked away. She knew it was kind of rude but come on, he was the one who bumped into her right? Pulling herself out from her thoughts she proceeded towards her class, excited more than anyone present there.
PERCY'S POV
Ok sure she was just six years old right? He tried to calm his senses and tell himself that she was the same age as him and that she couldn't scold him. She scolded him right? But then again it was indeed Percy's fault as he was the one who was not looking but…..
"Percy, everything alright bro?" he suddenly realized Jason was standing in front of him with a concerned look on his face.
"Yeah "he sighed. Then suddenly he hugged Jason; all of his initial enthusiasm coming back into his senses. "It's been so long bro!" he mused. "Indeed Perce. Let's go now, I don't think our teacher will like it if we our late on our first day" Jason said while practically dragging Percy.
As soon as they reached, they were told to wait outside the class and come in only when their names where announced. Percy was scared and alarmed thinking that he had got punishment but then it turned out that their teacher was announcing their sitting arrangement. At first he was relieved but suddenly it hit him that the sitting arrangements were going to be permanent.
He closed his eyes shut and prayed that he and Jason could be partners but all his excitement and prayers came crashing down as he heard his name with his most unfavorable person at the moment " Percy Jackson and Annabeth chase, middle row, table no. 1".
ANNABETH'S POV
Oh gods. Seriously? She had been praying so hard that she could sit with Piper, but Piper was sitting with some guy named Jason and Annabeth was supposed to sit with a guy named Percy.
Sighing a little louder than needed, she picked her bag and went to the table assigned to her. In not more than two minutes a guy came and sat beside her. She was curious to see his face but also was smart enough to hide her curiousness. She noticed that the guy was trying to hide his face and kept looking the other way. So, she coughed intentionally hoping that the guy would turn to face her. She smiled as she saw her little trick working, as the guy turned towards her but her smile didn't last long. "You!" she exclaimed. "You are Percy Jackson!?" she mused.
"Yep that's me, Annabeth" he sighed. Ok it was weird and she knew she was overreacting so she quickly smiled. "Well, hello Percy, nice to meet you again and I hope that you will stay in your side of the table". "aye aye captain!" he said faking a salute.
She smiled and quickly looked the other way, trying to focus in class.
A little while later she heard someone snoring softly. She turned to see that the person snoring, was the one and only Percy Jackson. She could not believe how a kid could sleep on their first day of school. But as soon as she noticed that he was drooling, she chuckled. On hearing her, he quickly opened his eyes and looked straight into her eyes. "What?" he asked.
Oh gods, he was such a seaweed brain. Wait that was actually good. Seaweed brain, that word totally suited him.
"Hello? Anyone in there?" Percy said waving his hand in front of her eyes bringing her back from her thoughts. "You know, you drool in your sleep, seaweed brain." As soon as she said it, he immediately wiped his face with the end of his sleeves. "Whatever, wise girl" he said with a playful smile on his face. She smiled as she realized that he wasn't that dumb as he seemed.
Sooner than expected, the bell rang and the class broke into chaos as the lunch time was announced.
Annabeth got up from her seat and walked over to Piper. As she reached there she realized that Percy came following her. But soon her doubts were dismissed as she saw Percy hug Jason and ask him if he survived. She chuckled at the comment, boys.
Piper wrapped one of her arms around her shoulders, dragging her to the washroom. "So, Annabeth how was your partner?" she asked once they were in the washroom. "Hmm, he was okay I guess. Can't really figure him out, one time he gives me a headache but the other second he-"before Annabeth could complete her sentence piper said "makes you smile?" as soon as she said it Annabeth rolled her eyes and turned away, "exactly" she sighed. "Well, don't worry Annabeth. Things are same with me and Jason too." She mused. "Now let's get lunch because I am starving here" she said once again dragging her to the cafeteria.
At the cafeteria there were so many people that Annabeth's mind immediately started searching for the places to sit. Not seeing any other option she and piper came and sat with Jason and Percy. As soon as they sat, Annabeth expected the boys to make a comment or even look at them funny but they just nodded and kept eating. There was an awkward silence hanging in the air as they four continued to eat quietly.
Not more than two seconds later, Percy suddenly asked "what do we know?" out of nowhere.
Annabeth was glad that he broke the silence but she couldn't understand his question. She turned around to see that Jason and piper were as confused as she was. "Come on guys. Like me and Jason are bestest friends" he said explaining his question a little bit. "And apparently you and piper are best friends" he said in a questioning tone clearly addressing Annabeth.
"Indeed" piper said answering for both of them as Annabeth nodded in agreement. "Annabeth and I are partners and so are Jason and piper." He mused continuing his statement. "But then what is the relation between Annabeth and me; and piper and Percy?" Jason asked mirroring his best friend's thoughts. "Well I would love to have a brother, Jason" Annabeth smiled and said thoughtfully. "And it wouldn't hurt to have another brother, Percy" piper said agreeing with the idea.
Both the guys grinned and said "then it's settled, we all are friends and will never leave each other." Percy said extending his hand towards Annabeth. Annabeth smiled at his cheesy comment but shook his hand firmly, "friends indeed". Both of them were unaware that their handshake would last long enough for a lifetime or would end too abruptly.
DING DING DING! THAT'S IT GUYS. I AM MENTIONING THAT THE FIRST FEW CHAPTERS ARE JUST GONNA BE ME LAYING THE PLOT AND INTRODUCING THE CHARACTERS BUT I AM TELLING YOU, PAY ATTENTION TO HOW EVERY CHARACTER SPEAKS AND THERE BOND WITH THE OTHER CHARACTERS BECAUSE IN THE COMING CHAPTERS IT WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND AND UNCOVER THE SUSPENSE FASTER.
