CHAPTER 7
"Ash!" Serena shouted after Ash, who was chasing after Gary. Ash ignored her and kept chasing Gary. "Ash I need to tell you something about Gary!" She shouted. This caused him to stop.
"What? Why is he running? Tell me!" he yelled at her when she appeared by his side.
"He's running because I turned him down. He wouldn't accept it so I hit him." She said. Ash could see it in her eyes. She was lying. Ash knew this wasn't true. How?
-Flashback-
Ash and Gary sat side by side on the end of Gary's bed. Both at the age of 12. They'd both just come back from Johto, after the league.
"So, you said you wanted to tell me something?" Ash asked, looking down at his feet due to the awkwardness.
"uh, y-yeah," Gary mumbled. "W-would you still be friends with me if I were..." he trailed off.
"Gay? Yeah, I always knew you were!" Ash shouted.
"Shh! Gramps doesn't know yet!" He yelled
-flashback over-
"Stop lying!" he shouted at her.
"What do you mean?" she asked, faking innocence.
"Gary would never go for you!" he yelled. He went to keep running, but a pair of hands grabbed his shoulders.
"Let me go!" he yelled. Shit, she's strong he thought as he struggled to get away. He attempted to call for help, but he was hit with a strong fire blast from the blondes Braixen.
With Gary
He sat beside a small river, staring at his reflection in the still blue water.
Of course he hates me, who doesn't. Maybe I should've died, not them, I'm sure no one would've cared. He went to reach for Umbreon's ball, so that he wasn't alone, when he realised, he left everything at the lab. He'd been sitting outside for a while, for it was almost midnight. He decided now would be the best time to sneak in. He ran towards the lab, and slowly entered through the back door. He crept up the stairs, hoping everyone was asleep, before he remembered that they were all going to a festival that night.
Nice to know they forgot about me. He walked towards the room normally and entered it. Everything was the way he left it. All of his Pokémon were sleeping, except Umbreon, who lit up when she caught sight of her trainer. He pet her head reassuringly as he sat down on the bed. he closed his eyes for a few seconds, only to have them flutter open when a voice screamed a high pitch "No". another scream came afterwards, this one a scream of pain.
