His eyes fluttered open, revealing a room at the lab. Sitting on the bed in front of him, was Serena. He felt something scratch against his arms, when he realised he was tied to a chair.A sharp pain shot through his head. He groaned.
"yeah, you might be sore for a while. After all, you were hit with Braixen's strongest fire blast," she laughed.
"What is wrong with you?" Ash questioned.
"More like what's wrong with you!" she snapped back. She jumped up from her spot on the bed and approached Ash. "You're the one with problems! You choose boys over me? You choose Gary over me!" she screamed in his face.
"We don't choose who we like," Ash growled at her.
"You would choose me if it meant protecting Gary, though, surely?" she smirked, turning back to the bed.
"What do you mean?" Ash questioned, a mix of fear and anger present in his voice.
"I mean~ If you were to date me, Gary would be fine, but if you were to reject me~"
"What…"
"He'd suffer, of course," she cackled.
"No!" Ash yelled.
"Exactly, so, after I untie you, we'll go on a date," she smiled.
"Yeah, how 'bout, no," he smirked back.
"Why not!" she barked whilst glaring at him.
"Why would anyone in their right mind go out with you? You're crazy!" He yelled. In return, he was hit with another fire blast from Braixen, who had been standing beside him the whole time. He screamed out in pain.
"I'll continue to do this until you decide to date me," she smirked.
"I'd rather die!" he smirked back. She growled in annoyance. He right hand flicked towards the fox Pokémon, which nodded its head before blasting Ash with more fire. This time, he didn't scream. He wouldn't show this maniac pain. Moments later, came a rapid banging at the door.
"Ash! Are you okay?" Gary yelled frantically from outside. Serena's eyes lit up as an idea popped into her head. she slowly walked over to the door and unlocked it, then, she swiftly opened it whilst hiding behind it. Gary ran towards Ash as soon as his eyes saw the raven boy.
"Gary, leave!" Ash struggled.
"What! No way!" he yelled as he untied the rope around Ash. Suddenly, the door slammed shut. Gary jumped and spun around faster than Pikachu's quick attack.
"You should've left when I told you to," she smirked.
"Get away from us you creep!" Ash yelled. He was now standing next to Gary.
"Gary, I told you, No one wants to here, didn't I?" she grinned maliciously.
"Fuck off," he growled.
"Ash here doesn't know what happened earlier, does he?" She glared at him. The two of them stood together in silence, staring at each other, neither one of them noticing Ash sneaking out of the room.
With Ash- downstairs
He rand quickly through the lab towards the phone room. When he finally made it to the room, she shut and locked the door. Dialling as fast as he could, he called the professors private Poketch number. It rang a few times before the professor's face came into view.
"Ash? What's up? Serena said you were sick?"
"She lied! Quickly, get back here as fast as possible! Call officer Jenney!" he yelled before a banging could be heard at the door.
"Ash~, I know you're in there!" the professor nodded before hanging up. Seconds later, the door smash down, revealing Serena holding a knife to Gary's throat.
"No! leave him alone!" Ash yelled.
"Why? It only means he's in my way!" she cackled as she pressed it into his neck. He winced at the pain.
"Stop it!" Ash yelled. This just caused her to push it deeper. "Pikachu! Help me!" Ash yelled, trying to get his buddies attention.
"Silly Ash, I already got rid of Pikachu," she cooed.
"No, No!" Ash yelled as he collapsed to the floor. Serena released Gary from her grip and threw him to the floor, near where Ash was. He scrambled over to the latter and held him in his arms. His consciousness was fading.
"Gary, Gary don't close your eyes, don't leave," he cried.
"If I can't have you, no one can!" she yelled before raising the knife over Ash. Before she could bring It down, her hand was grabbed from behind.
"You are under Arrest for attempted murder!" officer Jenny yelled. Sirens were heard all around, before Ash collapsed onto the floor.
A/N, sorry for the long wait, i didn't have a chapter for quite awhile and when i did, i hated it. this is the 4th rewrite of this chapter :(
