Current/Canon time period. It's just another casual dinner at Drakken's lair.
Shego leans back in her chair, her glove removed, she was filing her nails. She hardly touched her dinner but then something happened that completely took away her appetite. Drakken asked an uninvited question.
"Shego, um..."
Shego pauses filing her nails to glare at him.
Drakken continues "I've just always been curious. I know you used to be so much different before you had the whole attitude adjustment accident. I get that but. But... Why get a degree in child development? Even a "good" person…" he cringes "can get any kind of degree they want."
Shego's expression does not change. She drops the nail file and it clangs on the table top.
Drakken recoils in fear "Just curious, please don't kill me!"
Some years ago, Shego is around eighteen or nineteen years old. It's just another casual afternoon at the Team Go household.
A very pale black haired woman was all dressed up for business yet barefoot, curled up in her bed with a laptop on her lap. A knock on the door interrupted her typing. "I didn't take your hair gel, Mego... this time" she muttered that last part under her breath, not taking her eyes off the computer screen.
The door opens to reveal an overly muscular pale man with black hair and glasses. "Guess who has an INTERVIEW for a promotion to MANAGER at Bueno Na-" a plasma blast headed straight towards his face interrupted the boy-scout-at-heart and he slammed the door for shielding.
There was silence and the door creaks open again. "I like your headband" Shego's oldest brother offers meekly and slams the door again after another plasma blast heads his way.
Silence again and the door is swung open this time. "Why are you so polite to everyone else and then so mean to me?!" The handsome man complains.
"I hate to answer an obvious question but it's because you annoy me" she answers bluntly, still typing away on her laptop.
Hego frowns "You think that way about all of us. And okay, Mego can be a Prima Donna sometimes. But the twins are really cool! Remember when we went camping..." Hego stops himself when he realizes that Shego is not listening. "What are you even typing up right now?" He asks curiously.
"I'm revising my resume for the C.I.A." she answers, determined.
Hego smiles. "You'd be perfect for the C.I.A. You're intellectual, physically strong, and the example of a perfect moral citizen. A hero, just like me" Hego says proudly.
"Get off your high horse, MEgo" Shego stares at her oldest brother.
"What? I'm He..." Hego stops himself, realizing she was being sarcastic. "Is working for the C.I.A. really what you want to do with the rest of your life?" he asks on a serious note.
Shego slowly lifts a thin, pale hand to her face. She rests her fingers, manicured with black nail polish, underneath her chin. "I think so" she muses, resting her eyelids slightly over her eyes that were staring at the computer screen again.
Author's note: This is my first Kim Possible fanfiction in over ten years! I probably wrote one when I was a little kid way back on my first fanfiction account. This is probably going to be really short if I do continue it, just letting you know. Everyone says this but please review if you like what you have read so far and are interested in reading more.
