*Snap*
Shego smiles big, clutching a notebook and posing in front of her neighbor's charming house. She tilts her head and her black hair sways ever so slightly left.
*Snap* Another picture taken.
Shego maintains normal posture and loosens her grip on the notebook. "Thanks so much for taking my senior pictures for me, Mrs. Warby. I know I'm late. I couldn't find a photographer who could schedule me before I oficially graduated." Shego thanks the woman sincerely.
"Oh, sweetheart. It is the least I can do. You saved my whole family from an armed robber. I'm so lucky to have you, seriously, I don't know how many people can say they personally know a young woman who can tackle a man three times her size and render him limp and helpless." the short and plump woman with white hair responds.
Shego blushes and scratches the back of her neck sheepishly. "You make me sound so aggressive. I just wanted to ensure that everyone was safe and unharmed"
"Everyone, really? You didn't leave that robber looking safe and unharmed" Mego teases his sister as he walks up behind them.
"Where did you come from?" an annoyed Shego asks.
"We live across the street." he answers literally.
"No I mean like WHY..." she whips around to face Mrs. Warby "Ugh. My brothers are the bane of my existence" she whines softly, trying to not lose her polite composure in front of her neighbor.
Mrs. Warby laughs. "Your whole family is wonderful, Shego. You and your siblings are certainly the most incredible people I've ever met"
"Thank you, Mrs. Warby. We are honored to serve our community" Hego booms in his heroic voice. He enters the conversation wearing his new Bueno Nacho manager's uniform.
"You're here too?" Shego asks, resting her forehead on two of her fingertips in aggravation.
"Yes. And I regret not being there when you took it upon yourself to restrain a 6 foot 3, 200 pound, armed robber. I can handle that kind of situation, just fine." Hego very seriously reprimands his sister.
"I already handled that situation, just fine. Hego. The guy was bruised and struggling to breathe by the time I was done with him and I wasn't even scratched. I knew I could do it and I really wanted to protect Mrs. Warby's family. You can handle your own stuff, let me handle mine." Shego defends herself.
"I agree with him though, you should've let Hego handle it. Dad was so high strung after he found out you did that. You have him worried sick about you now" Mego nags to Shego.
Shego's eyes widen slightly. She felt semi-guilty about worrying her father, but still upset that he doesn't trust her to save the day.
Hego places a sympathetic hand on Shego's shoulder. "Your heroic efforts are admirable. I'm glad your heart is in the right place. But please leave the heavy duty tasks to me from now on. I'm better at it than you are." Hego softly explains to her, not meaning to sound offensive.
Shego clutches the notebook hard, her mouth half open. She knows that her dad and her brothers care about her deeply but at the same time something inside of her recognizes there is an injustice here.
There was silence for a moment, then...
"I'm going to rule the world one day. You'll see." she threatens her brother confidently, although on the inside she was mostly joking. Maybe at the most, she could probably become president one day if she keeps up her good grades and excellent conduct. Who knows?
Mrs. Warby smiles big at the siblings. She would love for the perfectly intelligent, perfectly responsible, perfectly charming girl she's known all these years to lead the world.
Author's note: I'm adding a lot more scenes and details to this story than I thought I would. I decided to reference "Future Shego" from the first Kim Possible movie (and arguably the better one) "A Sitch in Time." Mrs. Warby is made up by the way.
