I STILL DON'T OWN THE HUNGER GAMES!

It was a month later and Clove hadn't spoken a word to him. It was like he didn't exist and it was starting to get on Cato's nerves. How could this girl pretend he didn't exist knowing what he knows? How could she not watch him train, not even care when he threw insults her way in training. One day at training, he finally snapped. Cato was screaming vial things at Clove across the training room and like normal she just pretended she couldn't hear him even though the rest of the training center including the trainers were looking at them. Cato knew full well that if it came down to a fight even the trainers wouldn't dare step between them but that didn't make him stop.

"Hey Clovey, why you so small hmmm?" no response

"Hey Clove I bet you couldn't even lift a sword." Nothing

"Would you put down your damn knifes already, urgh you're so frustrating, are you not aware that you're not the only one in this training center? I bet you're not, you think you're too good for everybody. But the truth is you're not your just a pathetic nobody who's only friends are her knifes which NEWSFLASH, AREN'T ALIVE!"

Before he knew it there was a knife flying a crossed the room and piercing his shoulder. He looked down at the knife that was sticking out of his shoulder. Then back up at Clove who was sufficiently closer than she was before.

"In case you may have forgotten Cato Jet this is district 2" she hissed venomously a scary glint in her eyes that made Cato shutter as she advanced as if she was stalking prey.

"There are no friends in district 2, there are only allies and enemies. And none of you are good enough to be my allies. So I'm not going to pretend like you are." She hissed then yanked her knife out of his shoulder and watched as the blood flowed down his arm. But Cato refused to flinch or back away, he just stood there glaring.

"Might want to get that fixed." Clove hissed then turned on her heel and walked back to her target. Which she then pretended was Cato.

….

Cato bit his tongue to keep from hissing in pain as the nurse poured antiseptic on the wound. To say he was angry was an understatement. He'd be out of training for a week. That little brat had hit his sword arm, and she would pay. Once he could move that arm again of course. Cato sat there plotting his revenge. The whole training room was visible from the glass window of the nurse's office. So Cato sat there watching Clove throw her precious little knifes, and considering breaking one of them as pay back. But then his eyes caught her dainty little wrist and he smirked. This would be even better. An eye for an eye. Cato decided right then and there he was going to snap that little wrist of hers, then she'd be out of training too.

Once the nurse had finally finished the pain stakingly long process of fixing him up Cato sauntered out of the nurse's office a smirk on his face and a dangerous glint in his eyes, heading right for Clove. But then something blocked his path making his stop abruptly. Brutus the only trainer brave enough to bother Cato when he was in a mood. Cato sighed.

"What do you want Brutus?" he muttered looking up at the older man.

" I know that look Cato and don't you even think about it, I don't even care what she did to you she is the district prodigy and if you so much as hurt a hair on her head there will be severe consequences am I understood?" he growled dangerously. Cato rolled his eyes. Then ignoring the pain in his arm, pushed past Brutus and headed straight over to Clove she was about to throw another knife when Cato grabbed her wrist and snapped it like it was no more than a twig. If Clove had felt the pain of having her wrist broken she didn't show it, in fact she looked bored.

"Feel better?" she asked with a roll of her eyes knowing Cato only did that because he was mad at what she had done.

"I guess so." Cato muttered.

"Good" Clove said in a childishly sweet voice rolling her eyes again.

"Now if you don't mind I have some training to do." She said then turned back to her target and threw the knife as if Cato had not just snapped her wrist in half, as if she felt nothing at all. In all reality Clove could throw with either hand but she preferred the one he broke and she wasn't going to let something as trivial as a broken wrist stop her.

Cato stood there dumbfounded. How could this girl just keep using that wrist? It was a clean solid break, he made sure of it. And yet here she was throwing knifes as if nothing had happened. It was then that Cato realised why she was the prodigy and he wasn't. Nothing phased her, nothing broke her, and she seemed invincible. But if something was going to break her, it sure as hell was going to be him. He decided right then and there he would break her, someday. He also decided right then and there that he would not be sitting out a week like the nurse instructed, if she could do it , then so could he.
