The Load On Breeze's Mind
"Well," Slam asked Breeze. "do you think you can tell us what's on your mind?"
"Slam! It's rude to pry!" Camille scolded sharply.
"Yes, you should really learn to mind your own business!" Jade scolded Slam in agreement with Camille.
"It's quite all right, girls," Breeze said gently. "just before the lesson today, I got a phone call from Father, he said that Grandmother had to go in for a medical exam and that she's worried the doctors might find something wrong with her, my family needs me in Chicago."
"Summer vacation isn't that far off, Breeze." Camille said.
"That's right," Slam said to Breeze. "you'll see your falks sooner than you think."
"But..." Breeze began.
Skyla came over to the table where Breeze, Camille, Slam, and Jade were all sitting.
"Breeze, this arrived in the mail from your mother and father." Skyla said, handing Breeze an envelope.
Breeze opened the envelope.
"My flight to Chicago leaves in two days from now," Breeze said. "so, I have to go pack my bags."
Breeze got up from the table and headed straight for the dormitories.
"Hold up, Breeze!" Slam called.
Breeze stopped and turned to face Slam.
"What is it, Slam?" Breeze asked.
"You haven't touched your dinner." Slam told Breeze.
"You can have it," Breeze said to Slam. "I'm not too hungry."
Breeze left for the boy's dormitory to pack his suitcases and his dance bag.
At the table, Jade gave Slam a look of irritation.
"Slam! How cold hearted can you be?" Jade scolded sharply.
"What did I do this time?" Slam asked.
"That is Breeze's dinner!" Jade scolded Slam sharply.
"And, Breeze said that I could have it." Slam said to Jade out of protest.
Jade began to calm down a bit.
"That's right, I forgot, sorry about that." Jade said to Slam.
"That's quite all right, Jade." Slam said.
After Slam finished his vegetarian black bean burger, brussel sprouts and kale, and water and he started on Breeze's vegetarian black bean burger, salad, and water.
Over at another table, Brandon and Angelica were talking.
"Poor Breeze is not going to be here for the recital." Angelica sighed.
"I guess someone will have to take his place as Prince Phillip to Jade's Princess Aurora." Brandon said to Angelica.
When she heard this piece of news, Angelica just snapped.
"HOLD ON," Angelica yelled furiously. "JADE IS DANCING THE PART OF PRINCESS AURORA!"
"It's not my fault, Dame Skyla assigned the roles!" Brandon defended.
Angelica flew into a jealous rage and went to the table where Slam, Jade, and Camille were still sitting.
