[Act One, Chapter One: Third Street Saints]
[Late at night, inside a mini mart]
"One more hour...One more hour is needed in order to get out of this hell hole" said a woman to herself as she was currently moping the floor
This woman in particular has black hair formed in a ponytail, a light-brown skin complexion, brown eyes, and athletic figure. Standing in front of the woman was an overweight man who had a stern look on his face. This man is the woman's boss and she hates him with a passion, hell, everyone at the mini-mart, he's an entitled asshole who treats his employees like shit and firmly believes that he owns them.
"You missed a spot, Ms. White" the overweight man said condescendingly as he points to a small puddle of water before continuing "You're on thin ice Ms. White, another screw up like that and you can kiss check goodbye"
"Uptight fatass" the woman said quietly before continuing "If you want a job done right, get off your lazy ass and go do it yourself"
"Ms. White, would you care to run that by me?" the overweight man asked with an eyebrow raised
"You don't have to worry about anything, sir, I was simply making a joke" the black-haired woman lied
"Well knock it off, this is a place of work not fun" the overweight man said
This is another reason why the brunette hates her boss, he's ALWAYS uptight and never takes a chill pill, sometimes the brunette wonders if he's even human at times.
At that moment, a bell goes off in a loud fashion signaling that it was time to hit the sack. The brunette puts the mop in the bucket and puts it aside. The brunette grabs her belongings and was about to walk off until she is stopped by her boss
"Do you need something, sir?" the brunette asked in confusion as to why he boss was in her way
"You still have things to do, Ms. White" the overweight man replied with his arms folded
"Are you joking? I did everything you told me to do!" the brunette cried out before continuing "There's no way I still have stuff to do"
"Let's see here: you didn't clean the bathroom the way I wanted you to, there's a big ass mess in aisle nine, you need to check the cash register, and I need you to put the chips in the correct order" the overweight man said
"W-What? why didn't you tell me to do this before?" the brunette asked before continuing "I would've done it then"
"I got distracted earlier" the overweight man said simply before continuing "Now I want you to complete these tasks to the best of your ability, is that understood, Ms. White?"
"Sir, please be rational here" the brunette said before continuing "Wouldn't it be better if I did this tomorrow while I'm full of energy?"
"I want it done NOW!" the overweight man said angrily before continuing "No ifs, ands, or buts, now get to cleaning"
The overweight picks up a nearby mop and throws it at the brunette. The brunette clenches her fist before angrily picking up the mop and looking at it for a few seconds
"Well...What're you waiting for, do you need me to show you how to use a mop again?" the overweight man asked before continuing "It's simple, you just-"
"FUCK THIS SHIT!" the brunette roared in anger
"Excuse me, we do not use that kind of language in here, Ms. White" the overweight said before continuing "One more outburst like that and your ass is grass, do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?"
Ignoring what her boss said, the brunette storms over to the overweight man delivers a real good punch to his face knocking him down to the ground. The black-haired woman soon grabs her coat before spitting on the overweight man
"I quit this shitty dead-end job!" the brunette said as she flips the bird before taking off in a fit of rage
[Outside the mini mart]
"Looks like it's time for me to find a new job" the brunette said with a sigh of annoyance before continuing "I still don't know what possessed me to get a job like that, I think it had something to do with me being desperate
This woman is Audrey White, a few of her friends and family call her Audie for short, while most people call her by her full name or last name. Audrey is a twenty-two year old who graduated a month ago and has recently quit her job due to her boss' cruel and disrespectful attitude. Seeing as she quit her job, Audrey will have to find a new job and fast, because rent is only two months away.
It was a [somewhat] quiet night in the streets of Stilwater. Homeless people were harassing civilians, prostitutes and drug addicts were sucking and fucking for money, and gang members were doing their own little thing which included talking amongst themselves, spray painting walls, and smoking a joint. All of this is common in Stilwater and the shocking part is that Stilwater was voted the "Most Family-Friendly City!" which is a load of bullshit. Audrey went on to continue her walk home and encountered many weirdos along the way, she proceeded to ignore them, until she is stopped by a prostitute wearing a rather revealing outfit, it was clear as day that she took a sudden interest to Audrey.
"Hey baby, why don't I show you a good time~" the prostitute said seductively as she gently placed her hand on Audrey's chest
"Don't hookers usually bang guys instead of girls?" Audrey asked with an eyebrow raised
"I'm that kind of prostitute that'll sleep with anyone regardless of race and or gender" the prostitute answered honestly before continuing "Now why don't we leave this rat-filled street and get down to business...I promise I'll be gentle"
The sex worker was about to make another move until several gunshots and explosions interrupt her. The two ladies turn their heads and they witness three different gangs attacking each other with guns blazing and bats whacking. Seeing as all three gangs are fighting one another, one could safely assume that a gang war is happening and that the two ladies have front row seats to it all. The first gang is wearing yellow, the second gang is wearing blue, and the last gang is wearing red. The violent gang war goes on for a couple of minutes until numerous members of each gang are brutally iced with one member of the yellow gang standing proudly. Now noticing that Audrey and the prostitute had watched the whole thing go down, the gang member loads a fresh round into his gun and walks over to the ladies before aiming his gun at them
"Sorry ladies, can't have no witnesses" the gang member said coldly
"Leave us alone you asshole!" the prostitute said angrily before continuing "I swear, niggas only act hard and think they the shit once they get a gun in their h-"
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
Three bullets were put into the prostitutes chest and the poor woman drops down to the cold floor
"OH SHIT!" Audrey cried out
"You next bitch" the gang member said as he aims his weapon at Audrey before continuing "Don't take it personally, can't have nobody snitching to the pigs, that's bad for the Vice Kings"
"What do I do!?, what do I do!?, WHAT DO I DO!?" Audrey said mentally as she was trying to come up with a quick plan
"See you in the afterlife" the gang member said
Before the gang member has a chance to pull the trigger, Audrey kicks him in the stomach before punching him in the face. The gang member falls to the ground leading Audrey to kick him repeatedly. Audrey's barrage of kick went on for a couple of seconds until she randomly gets hit in the head and falls to the floor. Audrey slowly yet painfully rolls over onto her backside and sees another gang member holding a metal bat. The second gang member wasn't happy with what Audrey did and goes in for a second swing. The metal bat almost hits Audrey's face but doesn't as a bullet gets put through the attackers' head and he falls dead onto the floor with blood leaking out of his head
"What the fuck...?" Audrey asked in confusion
"You alright there, playa?"
Audrey slowly looks up and sees two people. The first person is a middle-aged African American man wearing nice clothing, while the second person is a caucasian man wearing casual clothing and holding up a gun looking around for other people
"I'm doing fine" Audrey replied as she rubs the back of her head
"Julius, we gotta get outta here" the caucasian man said before continuing "You know how the place gets at night"
"I thought I was going to die" Audrey said before continuing "That bastard was about to kill me because I took out his buddy"
"It's a good thing me and Troy were around when this happened" the middle-aged man said
"What's up" greeted the caucasian man, now known as Troy
"The Row ain't the way it used to be, it ain't safe anymore, playa" Julius informed before continuing "We got gangs fighting' over shit that ain't their's, and with you in the way; they don't give a damn if you representing or not"
"C'mon, Julius, this is no time to recruit new members" Troy said before continuing "The cops are gonna be here any minute"
"We need all the help we can get, son" Julius said to Troy
"No, we need to get our asses out of here" Troy said before continuing "Who knows what they'll do once they catch us"
"In a minute, Troy" Julius said before turning to Audrey and continuing "Look, the Row's got a serious problem on its hands and we need all the help we can get if we want to solve it...Come to the church when you want to be apart of the solution"
And with that, Julius and Troy take off leaving Audrey by herself
"Come to the church when you want to be apart of the solution?" Audrey asked herself before continuing "What did that old dude mean by that? *sighs* hopefully, I'll figure it all out by tomorrow"
[The next day, at an apartment]
"Alright, Taylor, I'm heading out" Audrey said before continuing "I left a few bucks on the table in case you get hungry later"
"Heh-heh, you make it sound like I'm your child" said a brown-haired woman in a playful manner.
"All you do around the house is eat, sleep, and shit, which is something an infant or an irresponsible child does" Audrey said with a playful manner of her own before continuing "It doesn't help that you're extremely childish"
"You're childish as well, Aubrey" Taylor retorted
"Unlike you, I know how to hide it" Audrey said
"Sure whatever" Taylor rolled her eyes before continuing "Try not to get yourself killed, the last thing I need is the media bombarding me with stupid ass questions and comments"
[Outside the building complex]
"Man...Stilwater hasn't changed a bit since I left" Audrey said before continuing "There are gang members everywhere"
Audrey turns her head to the right and sees a group of men and women wearing blue, before turning to the left where she sees another group of men and women wearing yellow. Occasionally, one or two gang members would get a quick look at the other gang before returning to converse with their friends/allies. It's only a matter of time before another gang war breaks out and more people are killed
"If I don't play it safe, I'll get lit up like a Christmas tree" Audrey said quietly to herself, shuttering at the thought of her body having numerous gunshot holes
The black-haired was about to walk off and go about her day until a certain memory stops her in her tracks. This memory, in particular, has been a real pain in her backside and has been on her mind for quite a while
"Look, the Row's got a serious problem on its hands and we need all the help we can get if we want to solve it...Come to the church when you want to be apart of the solution"
"Should I join their cause?" Audrey asked herself before continuing "For starters, I don't know who those dudes were and there's a good chance that I'll end up getting killed...However, they did save my life, so I can't jump the gun and say they're the bad guys right off the bat *sighs* I guess I could check it out for a bit and see what they have going on"
[A few minutes later, at an abandoned church]
"So this is the place" Audrey said while looking around
All around the place were men and women wearing purple while chatting with their friends. Audrey stuck out like a sore thumb which earned her unhappy looks from some of the members.
"Listen up, Saints...I got a few words to say to y'all"
At that moment, each and every member stops what they're doing, shuts up, and gives their undivided attention to their leader which is Julius
"So he must be the leader of this purple-clad crew" Audrey said mentally
"Every motherfucka here knows what we need to do...Those bitches be ridin' around thinkin' the own the streets" Julius said before continuing "I don't care what flags they're flyin'...Rollerz, Carnales, Vice Kings; no one's makin' this nigga scared to walk the Row...We 'bout to lock this shit down ya feel me?"
"Alright! yeah!" Saint #1 cheered
"I like the sound of that" Saint #2 said with a grin on his face
"Fuck yeah!" cheered a South Korean man before noticing Audrey and continuing "Hold on a second *points to Audrey* who the fuck is this chick?"
"Uh...How's it going?" Audrey said with a weak wave
Several Saints surrounded Audrey which made her feel uncomfortable. What made things even worse was the faces she was receiving. Some of these men and women made it seem like she was a traitor or someone from another gang
"Troy and I found her yesterday" Julius answered before continuing "I was gonna see if she'd ride with us"
"Julius, if she wants to run with the Saint's, she's gotta be canonized" the South Korean man pointed out
"Johnny's right, Julius, everyone had to do it" Troy said
"I saw her take out a member of the Vice Kings" Julius informed before continuing "I think she has potential"
"Let's put that to the test" Troy said
"You ready for this homegirl?" Julius asked
"Can't back out now, I'm in too deep" Audrey said before continuing "Fuck it, let's do this"
Several Saints surrounded the woman with a few of them cracking their knuckles and hyping themselves up. Just as Julius gives the command to attack, one Saint member rushes at Audrey and goes in for a punch. Audrey swiftly dodges and delivers two heavy punches of her own before grabbing the Saint's head and slamming it onto her knee knocking him out. Another Saint tries the same thing which leads to Audrey grabbing his hand and throwing him into another Saint before kicking them down. The black-haired woman quickly backs away and slowly catches her breath, before a sudden hit to the back of the head knocks her down
"Yeah! bet you weren't expecting that!" Saint #3 cheered cockily
"Burger-eating motherfucker..." Audrey growled in anger
Audrey quickly picks herself up and angrily kicks the Saint in the leg, before punching him in the stomach and headbutting him. Audrey dusts herself off and goes to handle the rest of the combatants. Within a few minutes, Audrey takes down all of the fighters which earned her the respect of the Third Street Saints
"You earned you colors today" Troy said as he brings Audrey in for a congratulatory handshake
"That's some impressive shit; the only Saint who kicked ass like that was Johnny" said another African-American man
"Shit, took me half the time" said the South Korean man now known as Johnny
"Welcome to the Third Street Saints, homegirl" Julius said as he fistbumps Audrey
"Thanks, man" Audrey said before continuing mentally "This is one crazy ass week, first I was an employee at a third rate mini-mart, now I'm a gang member who's probably going to do all types of insane shit...Life works in mysterious ways"
"Alright, let's get down to business, if we're talking about takin' back the Row, we gotta let those muthafuckas know what time it is" Julius stated before continuing "Now you break it down, and it's all about respect. Get enough of it and they're gonna back off, giving us the opportunity to move right on it. We got some friends in town that could use some help, do your part and give 'em a hand if they need it. Another option is searching for any muthafucka reppin' the wrong flag and showin' him/her why the Saints shouldn't be fucked with. So long as word gets out that the Saints is on the Row, I don't give a damn how you do it, ya feel me?"
Several members complied with Julius' command and proceeded to leave the church with a goal to help out other people or drop any gang member who's not apart of the Saints. A couple of Saints stayed behind and went back to chatting with their friends. Audrey was one of the members who stayed behind and is currently taking to Julius and Troy
"Alright, Troy, I want you to hook our girl up" Julius said
"How so, Julius?" Troy asked with an eyebrow raised
"For starters, she needs to be wearing purple" Julius answered before continuing "We represent our gang by wearing purple not every color of the rainbow"
"Hey!" Audrey exclaimed
"Is that it?" Troy asked
"She also needs to have a piece on her" Julius said before continuing "No Saint of mine is going to be running around doing God knows what without protection, they'll fill her up with lead and make her fish food"
"Hold on a second, piece is another word for gun" Audrey said mentally before continuing "A-Am I going to get a gun? I never owned a gun nor have I ever used one before...Will I take the life of another person today?"
"Don't worry, Julius, I'll take care of everything" Troy said before continuing "Come on, Audrey, we got shit to do"
"Yeah, sure thing" Audrey said, still disturbed about the gun thing
[Outside the church]
"Okay, Audie, a makeover is well in order" Troy said before continuing "You look like a homeless person"
"Haha, very funny" Audrey said sarcastically followed by an eye roll
"Hope in the car, I'll take you Branded" Troy said
"Isn't Branded that one shopping place that sells expensive clothes and shit?" Audrey asked with interest
"Mhm" Troy nodded trying to light up his cigarette
"Aw hell yeah!" Audrey said with an eager smile on her face as she gets into Troy's car which was a purple and white striped bootlegger
[Ten minutes later, inside of Branded]
"Pick out whatever you like" Troy said before continuing "Try not to go crazy, though, we can only afford so much"
"Yeah-Yeah, I hear ya loud and clear" Audrey said while looking around before continuing "Let's see what this store has to offer, hopefully, they'll have something that suits my interest"
Audrey walks over to the clothes and she gets a good look at them. The black-haired woman is in deep thought as to how she wants to go about this. Did she want to go full-on gangster? or did she want to be fancy and all that jazz?. After a few seconds of thinking, something good comes to mind.
"This is gonna be good~" Audrey said with a smirk
[A few minutes later]
"Not bad...Not bad at all" Audrey said in satisfaction while looking at her new threads
Audrey's new outfit consisted of a cropped leather biker jacket with purple flames on the sleeve, followed by a purple fleur-de-lis on the back, underneath the leather jacket is a white T-shirt that shows off her midriff and has the number twenty-eight on it, she's also wearing a silver chain that has a fake grenade on with covered to the brim with shiny rhinestones. Lastly, Audrey is wearing dark-blue tattered jeans with brown and white boots. Clothes weren't the only thing that Audrey changed, she also did some modifications to her hair. In the past, Audrey wore her hair in the style of a ponytail to keep things simple, now her hair is loose with the right side of her hair being braided.
Audrey walks over to the checkout and hands the money to the cashier before walking out of the store and going over to Troy who is sitting on the hood of his car while smoking a cigarette. The brown-haired man examines Audrey before giving her a nod of approval
"Not bad, newbie" Troy said before continuing "You really went all out"
"What can I say? I try my hardest" Audrey said with a smirk
"Now that that's done, let's get you a gun" Troy said as he gets in his car
Those words alone caused Audrey to lose her smile completely and replace it with a look of fear. Audrey was so caught up in clothes shopping that she had forgotten that she had to buy a gun later on. With a sigh, Audrey gets into Troy's car and the two soon make their way to the gun store which is called Friendly Fire, a store that holds some of the best guns in Stilwater because "It's fuckin' crazy out there" as they say. Audrey and Troy get out of the car and soon enter the establishment being greeted with numerous amounts of pistols, submachine guns, grenades, and etc.
"Good morning, how may I help you today?" asked the store employee with a smile
"My friend here is in search of a gun" Troy replied before continuing "What do you have in store?"
"We just got this today" the employee said before continuing "I have a good feeling that you'll like this"
The employee walks over to a rack filled with guns and takes out of pistol before placing it on the counter. The gun that was placed on the counter is an onyx black forty-five Shepheard that has a little devil decal on the grip.
"The forty-five Shepheard is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to get the job done" the employee said before continuing "It was made by the best manufacturers in the city and everyone says that it's amazing"
"I'm liking the sound of that" Troy said before turning to Audrey and continuing "What do you think?"
"To be honest, I'll take any gun as long as it's reliable" Audrey said with a shrug before continuing "Give the lady the money and let's bounce"
Troy gives the woman the money and soon leaves the building with Audrey in tow
"Now that that's settled, whaddya say we take that piece and go clean up the Row?" Troy suggested
"I'm down for that" Audrey nodded in agreement before continuing "Do you have any clue as to where a group of thugs like the Vice Queens or whatever the hell they're called would hang out at? I highly doubt they'll loiter in a place that's most likely filled with cops or anyone that can call the cops"
"Don't worry, I got that all figured out" Troy said as he gets in the bootlegger before continuing "Hop in, if we're lucky, they might still be there"
"If you say so" Audrey said as she gets into the car
[With a couple of Vice Kings]
"Man, this is so fucking boring" said a Vice King member in annoyance as he was currently watching people and cars pass by
"Quit your stupid ass bitching, we need to be on the lookout for any gang member that ain't apart of the Vice Kings" said another Vice King member, annoyed that his partner wasn't focusing on the main task at hand
"Why couldn't we get something better to do? standing around and watching busta's talk to each all day is fuckin' whack man" Vice King member #1 said
"For the love of all that is holy, can you please do me a favor and shut the hell up? be happy that Mr. King took the time out of his busy schedule to acknowledge your presence" Vice King member #2 said growled in frustration as he was starting to get annoyed by his fellow gang member and his whining
"If your buddy is bored, then I got something that might interest him"
At that moment, the two gang members slowly turn around and they see Troy aiming a gun at them. It didn't take long for Troy to gun them down mercilessly as blood was now oozing from the bodies
"Okay then...That just happened" Audrey said as the two dead bodies were starting to make her uncomfortable
"These guys aren't as strong as they think they are" Troy explained as he pulls out a cigarette
"Are you sure you should be smoking at a time like this?" Audrey asked before continuing "For all we know, there could be-"
"I FOUND 'EM, THEY'RE OVER HERE!"
"Goddammit, I really need to learn how to keep my big mouth shut" Audrey said as she facepalms
Several Vice Kings members surrounded themselves around Audrey and Troy causing the latter to slowly put her hand behind her back
"Okay, Audrey *inhales and exhales* you can do this, all you need to do is act fast and pull the trigger" Audrey said mentally before continuing "Seems easy enough...I hope"
"You ain't walkin' outta here alive chumps"
"I hope you said your goodbyes"
"The Vice Kings are and always will be the best gang in Stilwater"
Right then and there, Audrey kicks a Vice Kings member in the nuts before pulling out her gun and shooting him in the head along with the rest of the gang members. Soon enough, another group of Vice Kings arrives and a gunfight breaks out. Audrey and Troy quickly take cover and begin to shoot the hardheaded Vice Kings members who weren't hiding behind anything while taking out a few members who were smart enough to take cover. Audrey loads a fresh round of bullets into her gun and begins to unleash a hellish barrage of bullets at the gang members. A good portion of the Vice Kings members falls dead except for one member. The yellow-clad member aims his gun at the black-haired woman but the gun doesn't fire any bullets as it was jammed. Audrey jumps out of her safe spot and pulls out a switchblade before running at the thug and slicing his throat.
"That should do it" Audrey said as she puts her switchblade away. The woman wipes away the sweat from her forehead and turns to Troy before speaking "So how'd I do? was that good enough?"
"You did pretty well for a rookie" Troy answered making Audrey smile before continuing "Keep this up and you'll be a well-known member of the 3rd Street Saints in no time"
Troy and Audrey make their way over to their purple-colored bootlegger and enter it before driving. In the car, is Audrey taking the wheel obeying the traffic laws, while Troy is looking out the window with a cigarette in his mouth. Things were quiet for a few seconds until Troy breaks that silence by speaking
"Could you do me a favor and take me to Freckle Bitches? I'm jonesin' for a fun bag" Troy said, thinking about food
"If that's what you want man" Audrey shrugged with indifference as she makes a left. Freckle Bitches is a fast food restaurant in Stilwater known for being good and cheap, however, it's also known for being dangerous as their food gives people hard attacks and sickness. Audrey doesn't eat it because the food is too greasy for her liking and has heard from a few people that they use dogs as their meat. Audrey was going to inform Troy about it but decided to let it go as she didn't feel like causing a commotion
The black-haired woman pulls up to the Freckle Bitch's' parking lot and moves the car over to the side before putting it in park. Troy daps Audrey up before exiting the car and entering the fast-food store.
"You did good, Audrey, you did good" Audrey said to herself with a smile of satisfaction. Audrey pulls out her phone and calls Julius before putting the phone of speaking before talking "Good news, Julius, me and Troy did what you asked and took out a couple of members from the Vice Kings"
"Good work, playa...Word has gotten out that the Saints ain't bullshitting, now we gotta lock down our rep before it's too late" Julius said causing Audrey to frown before continuing "When you get the opportunity, swing by the church, there's something I need to discuss with you and the rest of the Saints"
"You got it, chief" Audrey complied with a nod as she hangs up the phone. Audrey puts the bootlegger in drive and takes off before speaking "I wonder what Julius wants to talk to us about"
[One hour later, inside the church]
Listen up, Saints, I got some serious shit to discuss with y'all" Julius stated before continuing "It's true we cleared out the Row, but do you actually think that's gonna stop them for good? unless we wipe out all those muthafuckuas, they're gonna keep on coming', and they ain't gonna be happy. It ain't gonna be settled until the Carnalez, the Rollerz, and the Vice Kingz ain't nothin' but a memory *turns to the African-American from earlier* Dex, you got the Carnales, ever since they hooked up with Colombians, it's like they own this town and with the drug money rolling in, we can't compete. If you want to take them down, you need to be smart with your movements and always keep track. The Lopez family has been runnin' that gang for years and there's a reason they still around"
"You can count on me, Julius" said the African-American man, now known as Dex
"Troy, I want you to deal with the Vice Kingz, find out everything you can about them" Julius said to Troy before continuing "I trust that you'll be able to handle them?"
"Not a chance in hell, Julius" Troy said
"Fuck you say?" Julius asked in a scary tone, not happy with Troy's response
"I'll take anyone but the Vice Kingz" Troy answered without a hint of fear
"You scared of going against the Vice Kingz" Julius asked
"Man, fuck that, I'll take on the Vice Queens and their boss" Johnny said with great confidence as he makes his way to the front before continuing "Give me a gun and those sons of bitches are as good as dead"
"It's not that easy, Johnny" Julius said before continuing "You can't take out the Vice Kingz that easily"
"Bullets still kill muthafucka's, right? doesn't get much simpler than that" Johnny said
"Keep an eye on your boy" the leader said while looking at Dex
"I don't need a fucking babysitter, Julius" Johnny said angrily
"Keep an eye on your boy..." the leader said with a tone that shows he's not messing around.
"What about the last gang? the Westside Bouncers or whatever the hell they're called, who's going to be dealing with them?" Audrey asked as a woman walks up to the front
"That would be me" the woman answered her question in a cool and calm manner
"Lin? the fuck you wearin' blue for?" Johnny asked with an eyebrow raised
"Calm down, Johnny, I asked Lin to hook up with the Rollerz" Julius explained to the South-Korean man and the rest of the Saints before continuing "We don't know much about these fuckas, so I wanted one of us on the inside"
