The guardsman could feel his heart pounding in his chest, it felt as if it was trying to tear its way threw his chest and run away, as if it was saying.

"I didn't sign up for this, you're on your own"

Each footstep the Primarchs took sounded as if a tank had just hit the ground after being dropped by one of the planes.

"My father, the Emperor has ordered that you prove yourself worthy by conquering and subduing the Imperiums enemies...But I believe that besting all of us in battle should prove to him just how capable you are" Sanguinius said to him with a voice so calm it laked any hostility, it sounded friendly and yet they Primarchs eyes were glowing like coals

The ceiling began to open and a large weapons rack stopped in front of the guardsman.

"Choose your weapon" said Fulgrim as he held his sword in such a way that it looked unnaturally elegant.

"You should be proud of yourself, you are the first man to ever have a duel with the son's Emperor and our duel is being transmitted throughout the Imperium, so that all may know who you are" Magnus the Red said to the guardsman as he manifested warp fire

"Enough this is taking too long! If you won't draw your weapon then die!" Angron said as he cut the distance between the guardsman and himself in what would seem like an instant

Perhaps it was luck, perhaps something greater had taken pity on the man, but in that instant, the man managed to role out of the red angel's way and avoid his attack.

"Good you can run like a rat" Angron said with a voice that sent chills down the guardsman's spine.

The man struggled to breathe, it took everything he had just to avoid that first attack and he had to somehow defeat all of the Primark's.

"Why? what had he done?" the man wanted to ask but none of the Primark's would even give him the chance to talk.

He suddenly heard a grow behind him and it was at that moment that he remembered something a friend of his had said to him.

"Here take this, if you're going to die, use it because if you don't. You aren't coming back"

The guardsman reached into his pocket and took out a small crystal, it was digy weapon, he had no idea what it did, but the hell with it, this wasn't the time to ask questions.

So he squeed the crystal and in a flash of light, he vanished from sight, he gasped for air, the moment the crystal activated Leman Russ had reached where he was.

The crystal allowed him to teleport, but it could only used one more time, think he needed to think, there was no way he could win ad hiding inside the ship was impossible, he was certain that no one would help him.

His assumption was right, all over the Imperium people were placing bets on how long he would live or if the fight ended when the brothers finally caught up to him.

"Give him five more minutes, if he survives to teleport him here so I can judge his intentions" the God-Emperor of Mankind ordered his guard, before taking a sip from his drink.

He had to admit the man lasted longer than any basic human should have been able to.

The guardsman squeezed the crystal one more time, he knew the one place the brothers wouldn't dare to attack him, it was the one place they never could attack him.

In a flash of light, he appeared in front of Alice who was enjoying a pizza she had ordered, while she enjoyed watching the guardsman win the right to be able to date her without her brother's interference.

"Sorry about that, something unexpected happened" the Guardsman said to Alice as he tried to force himself to remain calm.

Alice just smiled, but she wondered if the man was a coward, he had just run away from her brothers.

"Waite, did he think she wasn't worthy of fighting for? " she asked herself.

In space Magnus, the Red informed his brothers of their little sister's thoughts and about how heartbroken she felt.

"I have heard you brother, the duel has not ended, the field has merely changed" Rogal Dorn said as he took aim and opened fire.

The bolter round missed the guardsman by a hair and he threw himself back the moment he felt the heat of the miniature missile.

Alice felt her hearts beat faster than she ever thought possible, her date hadn't given up on her, he had only come back to tell her he couldn't accompany her today.

She was about to say goodbye to the man but when she looked down he was already gone, she had to admit the man was fast, but the women she had met earlier had =informed her that it wasn't good if a man was too fast.

She didn't know what they meant so she decided to ask someone else so she called out to a group of young women shopping together.

The guardsman found himself several miles away from his original location, all of a sudden he had been surrounded by darkness and then he was here, where ever here was.

"Honestly their acting like children"

"So will you explain to me how you managed to grow the stones to invite my sister to an evening of sightseeing and romantic dining" Corvus Corax asked the guardsman.

For a brief moment, the Imperium and a few alien species became silent, even they wanted to know the man's secret, after all, Alice had said yes to the man.

The guardsman took a deep breath and prepared himself to confess his reason for inviting Alice out, the tension grew as the man exhaled as over a trillion men prepared themselves to hear the guardsman's secret.

Yet before he could speak Corvus Corax slammed his shied behind the man blocking multiple bolter rounds fired at the man, Lionel Johnson, and Roboute Guilliman were running towards the two with a speed never thought possible.

Throughout the Imperium, the sounds of disappointment could be heard, and billions of men silently cursed under their breaths, the secret would forever be lost to them.

Yet where some saw disappointment others saw an opportunity, some people would pay a lot for the information, so spies and traders marked the man's location and set off to capture and interrogate him.

All of a sudden Roboute Guilliman found himself fighting against his brother, while Konrad Kurze appeared from the shadows and began to fight Lionel Johnson.

"Brother she's a full-grown woman!" Corax said to Guilliman as a power ax met power sword.

"Let her grow up!" Konrad said to Lionel as both brothers tried to calm their brothers down.

"And with that five minutes pass," everyone heard the voice of the God-Emperor say as the guardsman vanished in a golden light, all over the Imperium the image of a simple guardsman standing before the God-Emperor of Mankind could be seen.

"You made quite the mess of things" the God-Emperor said to the guardsman, before leaning down and whispering to the man.

"I know about what your friends said to you and how you blurred those words out in the heat of the moment." The man looked at the God-Emperor with a shocked expression and jumped away in fear.

The emperor for his part let out a small laugh and spoke directly into the man's mind.

"I'm the Emperor, now calm down and let me fix this before you end up dead"

"You have fought against my sons, each capable of conquering a world on their own and you even managed to turn two to your side."

"You survived a full eight minutes, you should be proud of yourself not even my Spacemarines can say that" the God Emperor's eyes began to glow with a powerful golden light.

"I have looked into your mind and deem you worthy, you may date my daughter," the God-Emperor said to the guardsman, before teleporting the guardsman away.

"Did you really have to send him to her ship?" Malcador asked the Emperor before the two began to laugh, the two of them could barely contain their laughter

Back on the planet, Alice blushed slightly, the girls as they kept calling themselves had just explained to her what was expected to happen during a date and what being too fast meant.

Unbeknownst to her, the guardsman was being teleported to her location by one of her sons, who just looked at the guardsman with a pained expression, in fact, the entire legion looked at him with the eyes of hurt children.

"You are not my father" the space marine said to the man as he pressed the button to teleport the man away.

The moment Alice laid eyes upon the man, she walked up to him and said.

"I'm sorry I'm not ready to do such acts. Let's just be friends" she then teleported away.

The guardsman turned his head and thanked the Emperor for his help and walked to the nearest bar, sat down, and ordered a drink.

"Give us everything" he heard Lemmand Russ say to the bartender, but by this point, the guardsman didn't have any strength to run away, so there he was drinking with all of the Emperor's sons.

"Now bout that Crusade you have to do" Rogal Dorn said and the guardsman slammed his head
