Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to Secret rendezvous. I hope you guys are having a beautiful day and a week. This chapter happens in tandem with the previous chapter; I'm sure you already knew that, but whatever, tell me what you think and leave it alike and review. Also, I want to clarify that the like the first half

now onto the story

three-month earlier

Natsu opened his eyes slowly today. He decided not to go to Lucy's house for the night as a lot was on his mind right now. It was around that time when he and Erza would go on their mission and separate so Erza could see Jellal. Their guildmates would notice though they didn't question it too much though they were sure they were stating they got curious. Natsu sat up on his bed as he looked around for his scarf now, he didn't mind Erza going to see the man, but every time he felt something.

"Morning Natsu," a voice called.

"Morning Happy," Natsu said to his feline companion "get ready," Natsu told him "we have a mission" he sighed; this was the second time Erza had requested he did this, but he didn't mind just wished he didn't have to do it by himself, but that was what she requested.

"Aye," Happy said, "and after we have a fishing trip, right," Happy flew, putting his standard back over his shoulder. "Hey, what does Erza do while we go fishing," he asked, "she can come with us."

"I know," Natsu says, "but Erza," Natsu looked to the side, thinking what he could tell Happy without telling him too much he knew the exceed would talk "she just some things to take care of."

"oh well, next time, we should take her with us," Happy said

"Yeah, little buddy," Natsu told him as he threw on his scarf, "come on, let's eat breakfast and get to the guild so we can wait for Erza," he told him.

"Aye, sir."

Deep in the forest near an unnamed town, two hooded figures were walking down the forest path. They were the independent guild known as crime Sorcière Jellal and Meredy. As the two walked through the forest, "so Mered,y," Jellal spoke up, "how are you feeling" she had been quiet this whole trip, and it was starting to worry him.

"Fine," Meredy said almost coldly, "just a lot on my mind right now," she said, looking down "it's nothing right now."

"if you say so," Jellal told her, a loud explosion going off in the distance, sending birds.

"I guess our friends are here," Meredy laughed.

"don't do anything too stupid," Meredy laughed. "I don't think Natsu would approve," she joked as she started to walk off as blush grew on Jellal's face, "and we all know what would happen."

Meredy then found herself walking through the forest by herself; the quiet of the forest helped her a bit; as she came to a stop, she heard what could be said as arguing coming over she saw fairy tails dragon slayer who appeared to be arguing with his feline friend.

"but Natsu," Happy groaned, "you said we would be going be fishing," the feline complained.

"I know I said that," Natsu told, "but I want to stop at the bar in town," he explained.

"that's not fair," Happy cried.

"come on, Happy, it'll only be a few minutes this time, I promise," he told his friend; as he looked around, he saw Meredy. As their eyes meet, they shared a friendly wave; this was common; they would often run across each other but never really spoke as he walked off, and Meredy walked in her off in her own direction; she stopped looking back, a wave of curiosity coming over her. Ultear would often never shut up about the dragon slayer; it was either him or that Gray guy. so, despite her best judgments, she decided to go back and meet the legendary Natsu dragneel

she soon found herself in near the only bar in town. Letting out a nervous sigh, she walked in, nothing too out of the ordinary; she then landed on her eyes on her pink-haired target; she approached him before tapping him on the shoulder; he stopped and looked back at her

"oh hey," Natsu said "umm Mercy right," Natsu asked, which made the girl laugh a bit.

"it, Meredy," she said, "Is this seat taken," she asked as she sat down, asking for a drink as the server nodded.

"no," Natsu told her as she took a seat next to him, "so what brings you here."

"I was bored," she said as she asked as the server placed their drinks; however her eyes widened as she Natsu light his drink "you drink it like that," she asked, a bit of fear in her voice.

"yeah," he said. "I just like the taste," he told her he was now facing her.

"oh yeah, your magic lets you eat fire," Meredy asked, "just like Zancrow," she muttered.

"oh yeah, him," Natsu said, "whatever happened to him anyway."

"he's dead," Meredy said, "didn't even make it off Tenrou Island."

"oh," Natsu looked away; she could have sworn she heard a sigh of relief as he looked down.

"wait," Meredy asked, "don't tell me you were scared of him," she said, trying to hide her laugh; the look of anger from Natsu's face was all she needed as she looked down. "I mean, you beat him from what I heard."

"I guess you could say," Natsu started looked to the side "it was weird; it felt like I was fighting a crazier version of myself," Natsu told her. "I mean," he stopped.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to," she looked away "it's just the way Ultear spoke of you."

"the cross-dresser," Natsu asked.

"what do you mean crossdresser," Meredy asked. "I can assure you she was a woman."

"either way," Natsu explained, "she was across the dresser," Natsu argued back as Meredy raised an eyebrow.

"care to explain," she asked, trying to hide her amusement.

"okay well, you see, a while back, like before all the seven years on Tenrou, we had a run-in with each other," Natsu told her "it was when me and the Ice-princess, Lucy, and Erza did a job on Galulu Island" Natsu started as Happy who was munching on some fish the bartender handed him shook his head.

"Galuna," Happy corrected

"whatever," Natsu told her, "so anyway, while we there was this guy, I think his name was Zally" Happy again shook his head as Meredy tried to stifle a laugh "whatever his name was, we had a fight, and he ran off" he stopped "now if there's anything I can remember about something I can remember their scent, and I smelt his or her scent when we were at Tenrou," he said "and there you go," he said as he brought the food to him, Natsu smiled as he started to dive in as Meredy shook her head.

"but that was a disguise," she tried to explain to him, "how does that make Ultear a cross-dresser" as she stole a piece from Natsu plate.

"well, why did she disguise herself as a guy then," Natsu asked

"well, I don't know," Meredy told him.

"exactly"

Meredy couldn't help but roll her eyes "anyway, Ultear's dressing choices aside," she looked at him "well, she called you a worthy opponent," she explained, "she said you were strong, relentless, fool headed" she smiled the thought of her foster mother coming to her head "she considered you a worthy advisory" she looked down.

"she was too," Natsu told her; he looked over. Happy was completely pre-occupied with his fish "don't tell anyone I said this," he told her, now facing her, "but honestly, she was one the few people I don't think I could've beaten one on one" to tell her "she knew what she was doing, and had the skills to pull it off," Natsu told her "that stays between you and me okay."

"Okay," Meredy said, smiling a slight blush forming on her face, "so what else are you doing today."

"we're going fishing," Happy practically shouted.

"yeah, I know, little buddy," Natsu said, letting out a laugh h looked at Meredy, a look of sorrow coming on her face "you wanna come," he asked as she looked at him a bit of shock on her face.

"well, I," she looked away, "yeah sure, why not" she looked away 'maybe I Shouldn't try to be alone.'

After paying for their food, the pink-haired duo and exceed left the establishment; as time flew by, the duo had found a nice lake. Natsu let out a sigh as Happy gladly started fishing. Natsu smiled at his little companion; he heard Meredy struggling with her fishing line as she kept tossing her line in and reeling it back in "you're not going to catch anything if you keep, doing that" he told her.

"I know what I'm doing," she shouted as she shot her line back in "stupid fish."

"calm down," Natsu told her as he scooted closer to her "the most important part is to be patient," he told her, "something will happen eventually," he tried to tell her.

"you say that now" Meredy muttered as she continued attempting to reel in her line only to bring up a boot, which leads to Natsu laughing out loud, almost falling over as Meredy glared at him "shut up," she shouted as Natsu wiped a tear that started to calm himself down as Meredy let put a huff "like you're doing any better, you haven't even caught anything," she told him trying to make herself feel better

as if on cue, Natsu line started to feel a tug; he looked at Meredy and smirked as she glared at him "look at that," he said as he started pulling at the line dragging out a huge fish almost the same size as the ones in magnolia as Meredy looked in shock as Happy started drooling "now that's how you catch a fish take notes" he shouted

"oh buzz off," Meredy shouted as a dark grin came over her as Natsu sat the fish down, "oh Natsu," Meredy said, a devilish grin forming on her face; soon, Natsu started to feel off as if he was pinching himself.

"what is going on," he asked. He turned back to see Meredy's evil grin going on her face as she was trying to hide her laugh "what are you doing," he asked.

"what do you mean," she said, showing her sense link on her arm. "I'm just trying to catch fish," she smiled as Natsu then tackled her to the ground, hurting both as they rolled on the ground as the landed with Natsu above her an evil grin on his face "what are you" she stopped when Natsu started tickling her "N-Natsu st...st...stop" she muttered out she looked up only to see Natsu was struggling not to laugh. Still, she couldn't help it "pl...ease," she asked, tears forming in her eyes.

"then undo the sense link," Natsu asked, still trying not to laugh "y...you give up," he asked as he continued tickling Meredy.

"n...ne...never," Meredy shouted as Natsu continued his tickle attack on the pink-haired girl underneath, soon giving up and undoing the sense link. "Okay, I did it," she said, trying to catch her breath as Natsu stopped.

"so, you learn your lesson," Natsu joked as he started to get up.

"oh no, you don't," Meredy shouted as she tossed both over her then straddled his waist "now," she said, almost out of breath as the pair realized how close they were, they quickly separated a large blush on their faces as they look away from each other as they looked away from each other "so um" Meredy muttered clutching her chest I hope you learned your lesson" she got up and started to leave when she felt Natsu grab her arm.

"hey," he muttered, a deep blush forming on his face, "next time this happens "you wanna" he looked away "for the past few months" Natsu looked down normally. He was so straight forward "you end going off on your own" he muttered, "you wanna be alone together."

a blush formed on Meredy's face as she laughed "that was cheesy," she laughed as Natsu looked away "sure," she smiled. "I wouldn't mind being alone together with you," she said as Natsu smiled as he looked back as walking back to where Happy was

"yo Happy," he looked as Happy had just finished the fish "oh come, man," Natsu screamed as Happy let out a loud burp sighing as he looked at his feline pal as Meredy stood next to him, stifling a laugh "well Natsu, guess we know the fish was good."

"Yeah, I guess," Natsu muttered

for the next few months, this would slowly become their thing; they would meet up in the forest go the bar, much to Happy's dismay where they would before going into the forest and fish and hang out with each other while Erza and Jellal had their time together it wasn't much but they started to enjoy each other company it aloud them both to unwind about both of their companies

Present-day, a few minutes after Natsu had left Erza

"I mean, he's so emo," Meredy laughed 'punishment is what we're all about.' She mocked the pair where under a tree they had decided to skip going into town today cause, well, they were bored, and Meredy didn't want Natsu to have any more fights.

"he said that," Natsu laughed, "that is so like him" he looked to the side, "always has to spot some noble jazz or something" he smiled "don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but sometimes he needs to chill."

"Yeah, I guess," Meredy said as she scooted closer to Natsu. She then rested her head on him, "I think he just over-stressed, probably needs to get to have a night of passion."

"probably," Natsu, a dark aura, came over him, "though he should be careful around Erza," he growled.

"you're so protective of her," Meredy told him, "it's so cute."

"I mean yeah," Natsu said, "ever since I've joined Fairy tail, I've always had Erza," he explained "she's always been someone I could really on. She's a source of strength; I respect her," Natsu smiled. "I can't nor do I ever want to find out what fairy tail would be without her" he looked down "who'd I be without her" he looked at Meredy "don't you ever tell anyone about that," he said he "Gray would never let me hear the end of it."

"Okay," Meredy said, stifling her laughter, "you know you can just call her a sister," she smiled at him. "I'm sure she'll know what you mean."

"I guess," Natsu told her as he looked at her. They stared at each for what felt like an entirety, "so umm."

"what," Meredy asked as she laid her head back down "you know I'm right," she told him as she looked at Happy she reached out and started to ruffle the exceeds hair "his fur is so soft," she had no idea why she was doing this maybe it was to mess with Natsu or maybe it was she looked him again he looked at as he looked at her

"what," he asked

"Nothing," she whispered.

"you sure."

"yeah," she said; they were close now the so much so they could feel the other breathing "we should stop," Meredy whispered again as Natsu nodded.

"yeah," he said, "this."

"yeah, you clearly, " Meredy stopped. "I'm a felon and was once part of a dark guild," she said, still leaning in.

"Yeah," Natsu muttered, "but still, you're not all bad," he told her, "you're a real joy to be around."

"you think that," Meredy whispered, "but I can be dangerous."

"oh really," Natsu told her, "you look about as dangerous as Wendy when she is trying to act scary."

"hey," Meredy shot back, her smile not fading. The air seemed to go still as she gazed at him, her thoughts lost in the wind "we need to stop this before" she froze as she leaned closer "before" her mind was all but blank now "we do something we're" there was almost no space between them as they were about to close the between them "totally" she froze again "totally not going to regret" the gap between them closed as Natsu and Meredy kissed each other Natsu warm lips against her soft lips it was something neither of them expected. Still, in the end, to both of them, it felt so right, so innocent as they continued it was sloppy, clearly showing that both were inexperienced as they separated, the looked at each they had been there for about ten minutes. Still, to them, it felt like an eternity "Natsu," Meredy whispered the slow realization that came over them as they both separated, nearly waking Happy, who only rolled over " I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Meredy shouted.

"no, I uh," Natsu fumbled with words; he looked away, "it wasn't that bad."

"really," Meredy asked, her blush calming down, a devilish smirk coming to her face "wait a minute," she muttered, "Was that your first kiss."

"that's not important," Natsu shouted "what will Erza and Jellal think," Natsu said under his breath.

"I don't," she stopped; not once did she ever see this happening with Natsu of all people she barely even knew him "they don't need to need to know," she said smiling, "they have their secrets," she said she was close on him now "doesn't mean we can't have ours."

"That was a quick turnaround," Natsu muttered.

"what," Meredy asked, wrapping her arms around his neck "you didn't enjoy yourself," Meredy asked, "or is something else."

"No," Natsu told her.

"then why don't for once," Meredy told him "we stop worrying about how the rest of the world feels" she then started to rub the back of his hand playing with his hair, "stop clinging to others, and how they make us feel" the words rolled off her tongue she had no idea what had come over her. Still, she didn't mind "and worry about ourselves for a change," she smirked, "fairy tail and Crime Sorciere won't mind."

Natsu wanted to object, but in a way, she was right; maybe it was going out with Erza on the rendezvous he only did because she asked him to and he cared about her hell fairy tail meant more than the world. Still, right now, he was free in a way, no dark guild coming after him, no anima or Zeref he had peace. "I guess they won't mind if we take a moment for ourselves," Natsu whispered as Meredy pecked his lips.

"see, the world didn't blow up," Meredy joked.

"guess we'll have to try harder," Natsu joked.

"is that challenge dragneel," Meredy asked.

"maybe"

a few hours later, Meredy walked up to their meet up location with Jellal "so how was it" Meredy asked; she sounded out of breath as she approached her friend

"um, are you okay," Jellal asked.

"who me," Meredy asked "yeah, I'm fine," letting out a nervous laugh; she looked to the side as she brushed her hair over her shoulder

"if you say so," he muttered, "come on, we have a dark guild to track down," he told her.

"yeah," Meredy muttered; her heart was still racing as she tried to fix her hair, her lips were bruised as she tried to catch her breath 'man, he has some stamina on him' she said, "don't worry, I'm at one hundred percent right now."

Jellal nodded as something crossed his mind "what were you doing anyway," he asked.

"oh, you know," Meredy said, "there's a bar in town, and from what I can remember, there was a fight," she lied.

"I see," Jellal said; he knew she was lying "did you run into Natsu while you were there? he asked ". He saw her do a double-take as she backed up.

"Uhm, no."

"Alright, Meredy," Jellal told her, "come on; let's go."

"yeah," Meredy looked back, her mind still on her dragon slayer friend. Both had no idea what they were at the moment, but one thing was for sure from now on, when Erza and Jellal had their rendezvous, they could be as Natsu put it.

'Alone together.'

was this better? I think I handled this one better than the last fic; anyway, tell me what you think of this. Now I'll be the first to admit Natsu, and Meredy (do these guys even have a ship name) isn't my go-to ship. If anything, if there were something I would do with the characters, it is making them siblings of some sort. How I don't know, but that's my two cents on this paring. Now I could end the story here, but that wouldn't be fun, so next, we get Erza's reaction(an excuse for me to write Erza being a big sister for no reason)
