Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a secret rendezvous. In the last chapter, I told you I would be thinking of extending this story, and after much thinking, the main plot of this story will end here, but I will continue it more on the bottom. anyway, for this final chapter of whatever this becomes (arc or story), which will be shorter than the rest, sorry is mostly about the guild finding out it takes place after the Alverez arc, so ya know a time frame for you

on to the story

Meredy was a lot of things. Nervous wasn't normally one of them. It had been a whole year and a few months since she had seen Natsu. Sure she had seen Natsu a month after their last meet-up, tartaros had made their move, and fairy tail went to war,

then the war with Alverez happened, and that was a mess in itself. She sighed, "Meredy," a voice called, pulling the young Pinkett out of her thoughts. It was Cobra, one of their newest members. He gave her a sly grin. "I never figured you and Salamander as friends," he asked.

"you know it rude to prude in on a girl's thoughts," she said, looking away. They were right now on their way to magnolia, and she made it no secret that she was sort of in a rush. Crime Sorcera had been pardoned on all crimes. After taking Sorano to sabretooth so she could have a tearful reunion and Richard had gone off to meet with Jura so he may find his brother. Now they were on their way to fairy tail to tell the guild the good news "besides, I'm not the only one in a rush to get to the fairy tail guild," she said, trying to get under his skin. "Kinana seems like a nice girl."

"shut up," he muttered.

"not so, fun is it," Meredy teased.

"calm down, you two," Jellal told them "we're almost there anyway, "seeing the town of Magnolia coming into their view and, in the distance, they could see the fairy tail guild.

"we're finally here, Meredy," Jellal teased her.

"yeah, you can finally see Erza," Meredy shot back as they entered the town, people walking around happily. "good to see people are starting to get back to a sense of normal.

Soon the group found themselves in front of the guild in question; as they entered, they were greeted by many bright smiles as the guild seemed to be in the middle of a party.

"oh Erik," a voice called "welcome" it was Kinana ran and hugged him as Laki smiled behind her, whispering something about that being her boyfriend, to which the young girl only smiled and nodded.

"hey, it's Jellal," Gray called as they all greeted the fairy tail wizards "ya'll come to hang out."

"We just wanted to see how you all were doing," Jellal told him.

"we're doing fine, Jellal," Erza said, appearing behind him, "settling into normality."

"I'm glad," he told her, " I heard about everything."

"it's no problem," Erza told him, "nothing we can't overcome," she smiled, "come to join the fun. Don't be so serious," Erza offered

"Sure, why not," Jellal said as the group followed them in greeting master Makarov who welcomed them into the guild

Meredy ignoring the two lovebirds, went over to Natsu, who looked over at her approach. He smiled but was shocked when she landed a good smack on his cheek, which made a lot of people stop talking, wondering what the hell as the pink-haired girl grabbed Natsu "you, I talk now," she all but shouted as she dragged Natsu to a backroom

"Umm," Gray asked Erza, "what was that"

"well, you see," Erza started a slight blush forming on her face

as the pair entered the room, Natsu still rubbing his cheek "nice to see you too," he muttered as Meredy took a step to the side. She looked at him before letting out a sigh

"I heard about ya know," she said, "all that happened" a part of her was mad not at him but at the fact that she had to learn about his dad's death from someone else and the fact that he just ran off without so much as a goodbye

"yeah," he muttered

"How do you feel about it," she asked,

"confused," Natsu told her. "I mean, if you're asking about Igneel," he asked. "I came to terms with that a while back" he smiled as she gave him a small punch on the shoulder

"That was for running off without seeing me first," she told him. "I would have comforted you," she told him,

"sorry about that," Natsu told her. "I guess I was in such a rush to get strong enough to beat Acnologia," he admitted he looked over. "I guess I got single-minded with it" he couldn't look her in the eyes "sorry," he muttered "

"you better be," Meredy joked, "but if that's not what's on your mind, what is."

Natsu sighed "during the fight, I went off to face Zeref," he told her Meredy nodded. She remembered hearing about that, "and he," Natsu paused, "he told me that he was my brother."

Meredy had to do a double-take "what," Meredy asked, "then you'd have to be like over four hundred years old."

"oh yeah," Natsu said, trying to hide his laugh, "It turns out I am technically from the past," getting a confused look from Meredy; he explained the eclipse gate and Igneel's plan to stop Acnologia.

"wow," Meredy muttered, "that seems overly complicated."

"you're telling me," he said, "but it's over now."

"yeah, over," Meredy said, "and I'm now a free woman. All my past crimes have been pardoned."

"that's nice," Natsu told her.

"yeah," she said; there was an air of silence as Natsu seemed to be in deep thought.

"you know," Natsu told her, "I'm going to miss those meetups," he admitted "it was nice," he told her, "so much has just happened makes me miss the simplicity of it."

"oh really," she said, scouting over to him, "what are you trying to say, Natsu" she heard screams coming from downstairs but ignored them as he continued.

"well, what I'm saying is, I enjoyed doing something for myself," he told her.

"oh really," Meredy said, leaning in, "me too."

soon the pair found themselves in another laughing fit as they smiled "so now that we don't have to worry about the techniques of everything," Meredy asked, a slight blush forming on her face "what do you say we hang out" she told him "this time we don't have to go to any shady town" she smiled as she rubbed her knuckles together "what do you say."

"Yeah, I guess," he told her. "I can show you around town," the look of seriousness gone from his face the large smile on his face.

"yeah, around town," Meredy smiled as she looked at him, "glad to see you doing better."

"yeah," he told her, "get some normality back in here."

"normality, huh" Meredy smiled as she leaned in "well, there is something we could do," she said, getting closer as a light blush formed on Natsu's face "what's the matter, dragneel. Scared of little ol me."

"Hey Natsu," a voice called, shocking the pair as they looked over to see Wendy standing there, a devious smile on her face.

"how long have you been standing there," Natsu asked.

"long enough," Wendy teased. "Erza was asking for you," she told him, "said she needed to speak with you for a sec," she explained, "or do you need another minute."

"yes"

"no"

the pair looked at each other as Wendy tried to hide her laugh "well, come on," Wendy told him. "I mean, I could stall her, but we all know how Erza can get when it's you involved."

"yep, let's go," Meredy said, dragging Natsu out as Wendy now flat out laughing as a flustered Meredy dragged Natsu out of the room; soon, the pair were downstairs where they received some odd looks.

"oh Natsu," Erza said as she started to pull something from her pockets. "I found this and figured you want it," she told him. She pulled out a small silver necklace as handed it to him "it was on the floor, and I found it," she said as Natsu opened it up; a small smile formed on his face as he looked in the picture, which was one of him and Zeref "thanks sis," Natsu told.

"oh, you look so cute," Meredy teased.

"Stop it," Natsu told her.

Meredy couldn't help but laugh as the rest of the guild looked at the exchange in confusion.

"there close."

"When did that happen," Lucy asked Mira only to see Mira having an epiphany "you okay there, Mira," Lucy asked, sweat dropping before Mira slammed her hands on the table, scaring the poor girl.

"that's it," Mira almost shouted "that is where you two have been running of two," Mira shouted, "I can't believe this," she shouted, "and you two," she said, pointing at the dragonslayer and sensory wizard, "don't think I don't see what going on there either."

it was then the guild erupted in chaos as Natsu and Meredy blushed what could be considered a new shade of crimson never seen by the human eye as everyone practically surrounded them, and Elfman shouted manly from the top of his lungs once things have seemed to calm down, Natsu and Erza explained the past few months and what they had been doing

"I hope you forgive me," Erza asked as s finished her story. "I didn't intend to hide it from you. It just happened."

"it alright," Gray said as he continued to glare at Jellal, who felt a similar conversation and words coming from the ice make the wizard.

"yeah, Lucy told her" as she looked to the side Natsu and Meredy were currently under integration from Mira; she couldn't explain it, but there was a tight knot in her chest. Something was there "so when did that happen," Lucy asked.

"About two months after we started going to meet up," Erza explained, "I'll admit, I never expected them to become such fast friends."

"Yeah, me neither," Gray said as he watched Juvia jump up close to Meredy. She had a look on her face that just screamed happiness Gray smiled as the two started going on about something. Natsu looked like he wanted to be anywhere else, freeing himself from the screeching, Natsu made his way to where his friends where

"so, you and Meredy, huh."

"shut up, Gray."

"so, tell me, Natsu," Cana said, whispering in his ear, "Is she the reason you've been so distracted most of the time" a blush popped on his face as he backed away.

"aww, you think about me," Meredy added.

"that," Natsu looked away, "shut up."

"oh, come on, Natsu," Lucy told him, "we're just having fun" Natsu grumbled something under his breath.

"so Natsu," Mira asked slyly, "when's the wedding."

"what's a wedding," Natsu asked; that was enough to send Mira into a frenzy as he looked behind her to his pink-haired friend; he gave her a slight wink, which made Meredy chuckled as she slipped next to him For the rest of the time the guild partied and celebrated Cana most notably making sure to embarrasses both Natsu and Erza as much as she could though she did make sure to talk to Kinana about her relationship With Cobra

Later after the guild had finished partying, Natsu had agreed to walk Meredy home to a small hotel that Jellal had got the remaining few crime Sorcière, and the two decided to use this as an opportunity to take some time to themselves "that happened," Meredy muttered "so we still good for tomorrow" she asked.

"yeah," Natsu told her.

"good," Meredy said. "Juvia offered me a room at fairy hills," she informed him, " so if I join Fairy tail, I might end up staying there," she told him, "speaking of which, where's happy," Meredy asked, "haven't seen him all day."

"I think he had a date with Carla or something," Natsu told her.

"oh really," Meredy asked, "good for him," she smiled "then I guess it'll just be you and me, right."

"Yeah, I guess," Natsu answered, "why do you ask."

"no reason," she told him.

"hey," Natsu said with a small blush, "wouldn't that be like ya know."

"a date," Meredy asked him, "man, you are slow."

"hey," Natsu tried to shout but was stopped by Meredy placing her hand over his mouth.

"Okay," she said, walking away, giving him a devious smile, "don't worry about it; I find it cute" she smiled before landing a kiss on his cheek "don't worry, Natsu."

"it'll be our little secret."

So how was that as a finale now? As for part two, I'll update you when I decided what I'm going to do with the story, basically if I'm going to continue posting the pseudo-sequel here or make it a new story. I'm also looking into writing something else, and I'll let you know when it happens or if I decided to write anything.
