Dusk had fallen in eastern Crimea. The late-summer breeze blew the leaves of the forest. Mist was sleeping soundly on her bed with white bedsheets covering her body. Her Florette and stave leaned on wall. Ever since the defeat of Ashera, she only used them for fighting bandits.
Deeper into the night, strange sounds disturbed Mist's slumber. First came the stomping of leather boots, followed by long sighs and the moving of drawers. Mist got off her bed and looked around the room; there was no one present, except for the dozing mercenaries. This didn't give her answers, so she walked out of the room. It was almost dark inside. The echoes of snoring bounced through the hallway. Eventually, Mist reached the main room. Candles were no longer burning brightly. However, the front door was open.
"Ike, I think we should depart from Toha." said a man. Mist recognized the deep voice, realizing that it was coming from someone familiar. The man was her brother, Ike. Mist raced outside. Ike and Soren were standing outside, wearing fur coats. On their backs, there were small bags that contained their belongings. Ike was carrying his Ragnell and Ettard while Soren was carrying Greil's axe, the Urvan.
"Ike! Soren!" she hollered. Ike and Soren heard her calling, turned around, looked at her.
"I fear this would happen." Soren sighed.
"Where are you two going?" Mist asked. Ike and Soren exchanged anxious looks. They silently argued about who should ralk Ike eventually chose speak. He took deep breaths.
"We're leaving Tellius." he soberly answered. Those sudden words shocked Mist. Her own brother was about leave Tellius, never to return.
"We have to go Ike." said Soren. He walked into the forest with Ike following him. Mist remained at the headquarters. Tears started to fall from her blue eyes, but there was still hope to convince her brother to stay. She started to run back to into the forest.
"Ike! Ike! What about the mercenary business? What about Crimea? What about the rest of Tellius?"
"My job is already done for them. You're already old enough to not depend on me. Goodbye, Mist." said Ike. He kept walking but Mist continued to follow him.
"But why didn't you tell me? May we go with you?" Mist cried. Ike, however, didn't reply to her second question. Instead, he kept on walking. More tears began to fall on Mist's face. Her worries were becoming true; Ike was departing from Tellius after all. Mist began to weep. She walked back to her her home. When she reached the headquarters, a hand touched her right shoulder. Mist turned around to see her brother standing behind her.
"Sis, I'm sorry." he whispered. "I know you wanted me to stay, but I don't want to live in fame. I do, however, want you to tell my story. Understand?" Mist nodded her head. Even though it was sudden, she respected her brother's choice. Ike handed her his Ettard which still contained its silver shine. The siblings hugged for one last time. Then, Ike began to leave. "Goodbye Mist." cried Ike. He hurried away from the camp without another pause. Mist gazed at the dark forest with a glad smile on her face.
"G...g...goodbye... brother." she yelled tearfully. Mist went back inside ger room. She placed the Ettard near her weapons, got on her bed, and stared at the wooden ceiling. That was the last time Mist saw Ike.
