This is my fifth chapter of Cats Dogs: The Revenge of Mr. Tinkles

Finally making it back to headquarters, Diggs, Seamus, and Catherine recovered from their longboat ride again. "Gee, I'm glad to be back," Diggs said, licking himself, which triggered Seamus staring uncomfortably. 'What the heck are you doing? He asked. Catherine smiled as she knew that teaching him how to clean himself would someday pay off. "Uhhh," The German Shepherd notice him staring and quickly thought of a way out. "Where's Butch at? He asked. Butch is in his office, he prefers his privacy," She said. "Huh, I gonna go see if he's clean" Diggs walked over to Lou. "Mm-hmm, don't think I don't know what you and Catherine been doing," He said. The pigeon now shot his glare at the cat, who displayed an unquestionable facial expression.
Lou was typing some valuable information down, or so it may seem. "Lou, I would like to gain access to Butch's private quarters," He said, without a second thought. "Ahhh, Butch's successor, I would love to, but it is my duty as the head of D.O.G. to keep all private quarters well...private," He said before Lou heard the Anatolian Shepherd allowing him to let him proceed in through his ear-piece. "Copy that," He said, pressing a button which lit up Digg's light. "What's this? He asked. "Every agent has one for safety and security purposes," The beagle explained. "Oh, that's very resourceful" He thanked him before heading towards Butch's door.
Lou sighed. "Glad he didn't know what I was really doing," He said before putting back up his page. "Lou, what's going on, still up to come to M.E.O.W.S? and hang out," Tab Lazenby asked. "Why not come here, since you have no operative," Lou asked, seeing as Kitty Galore is defeated. Tab smirked and rubbed his chin in question. "I don't think that is a capable plan, seeing how D.O.G is always on the course for action," He said. "Mmm, you got the point," he thought for a minute" I'll call you back when I think of a decent time," He said. "Affirmative" The cat exited his screen. The beagle looked at his mate and pups in a photo frame and smiled, he started to imagine him being at home, cuddling up to him while their kids were playing.
The door opened for Diggs and went inside, but closed as he entered. "Butch, are you in here? The German Shepherd looked around but was taken in by the atmosphere and equipment. "Wow, this is amazing" His tail wagged hard. Diggs's ears perked up when he heard grunting like pain. "Butch, I'm coming," He said in a panic and ran. "I bet those Russin cats snuck in with their next-level tech," He added. Around the corner, he stopped and started growling, but stopped once he saw his potential mate trying to fix one of his malfunctioning gadgets.
"Diggs, glad you came, I see you learned to clean yourself from Catherine," He said. "let me guess *he walked and sat by his side* security footage? He assumed as he rolled his eyes. "This is exactly why I picked you as my successor" He finally looked at him. Diggs sighed in depression, and Butch noticed this action. "Everything wrong, Diggiy? He asked. The Shepherd was breathing rapidly enough that it was already up to the point of worry, so he looked up and suddenly started to get into a position that was only acquired for belly-rubs. Butch took notice, and although he wasn't young and free-spirited anymore, he found himself cracking a smile that enlightened Diggs.
'You know *he walked to his lower body and sat next to it* Catherine mentioned that you are ticklish around your stomach area," He said, raising an eye-brow "What, no...thats just gossip talk, you know girl stuff" He laughed sarcastically throughout his own rumor. "Hmm, covering up the truth *he chuckled* "as you know, I'm an expert at making agents unravel their true colors," He said. Diggs whimpered. "Too far, sometimes I get too serious like at the docks" He apologized. "It's okay, I'm just glad Lou picked you as my mentor" He recovered quickly from that burn. "So, tell me if it's true' he said, stopping him from sweet-talking out of this. Digg's immediately caught onto their little game and pretended to be the bad guy for the sake of the relationship. "You'll have to get it outta me" Diggs quickly froze cause that was the sentence he knew he had messed up.
Of all things, this was his most stupidest cause he was quick to deny it when Catherine's niece's asked. "I can do that" Butch got to work. Diggs tried not to laugh, but it was impossible. "The truth has been revealed,' The Anatolian said. Diggs quickly tried to find a way to break Butch's tickling torture, so he made a counter-attack and digging up some juicy evidence from his past. "Hmm, you think so...livershap," He said between laughs. That particular word was only used by his former girlfriend. While he was traumatized, Diggs took the optionality, tripped him, and quickly pinned him, breaking the spell that consumed him. "Ivy called me that nickname when we were dating, how did you get ahold of her? He asked, still in disbelief. "You're not the only capable of high-tech gear," He said before getting off him. Diggs then moved closer and nuzzled under his chin. 'Spoken like a true leader *he paused to reconcile* Lambchop' He closed the gap and surrendered to the warm embrace. "I promise you that since we stop Mr. Tinkles, you can retire,' He said, living up to his maturity.
Butch parted, but kept his eyes locked. The two connected their hearts, and suddenly, Diggs got close enough to where their noses were touching. "Diggiy? He asked until he discovered that he was hypnotized. "Why, though, they were safe from any hacks by the highest technology, what could be wrong? "Computer, what's going on with Diggs? he asked. A voice spoke out, "It seems he's showing the same recursion that you had with Ivy," It said. That's behind me now *he sighed in depression* I've gotton old and not the dog I used to be," He said. Hmm, I might recall you mentioning that to her at times," It added. "What's your point? He asked, getting annoyed. "All I'm saying is that Diggs here is just like Ivy *he looked up at him with puppy dog eyes* Butch thought about and began to line up the pieces. Sure it was over for them, but the void in his heart still lingers, which he often ignores. Butch thought more about these past events with him and realized that he had failed to see the connection. "Thank you, that'll be all computer," He said, and it signed off. Diggs parted to looked into his eyes and figured fate had to give him a second chance, so he took it. "So *he cleared his throat* what's your purpose here? The older dog asked. Digg's was so excited for Butch to live with him that he almost forgot. "That's right, you know how to clean yourself? He asked. Butch was taken back, but willingly smiled cause he knew what to expect. The German Shepherd blushed as he smiled.
I'm back on this story after 2 years, this chapter is not as great as the others as I started off basic with this cause I would imagine they would regroup and think of a plan to locate the cat. That will be the next chapter. Anyways, I have some amazing news, they confirmed the third movie next month, it's going to be straight to DVD and what excites me the most is that there is a whole new plot happening. Some may think that Diggs and Catherine are gonna have puppies or kittens or even a combination; either way, there are new main characters and side-characters. It's called Cats & Dogs: Paws Unite, and it going to be 10 years past, but it's currently unknown if Butch or the others will reprise their roles. Anyway, I saw the trailer and witnessed some eye-candy, so you bet that I'll write a fanfic about them once this is complete.
