There was a lot of time to think what to do with the egg, so Harry and Hazel decided to slay off the task an relax. They both were looking looking forward to less dangerous event that was coming up. The Yule Ball.

"So how are you?"

It was a Saturday, but Hazel was awake early.

"Great." She sat in front of Ginny.

Hermione was off to the Library again, she dragged Hazel there every time but this time she didn't. She gave Hazel a day off.

Ginny and Hazel had developed a bond over the holidays, but she still couldn't talk to Harry. The fact that they lived very close, Ginny had spent many nights at the house with her and Sirius. She got tongue tight when Harry came in.

"So who are you going to Ball with?" Ginny asked her.

Hazel bit her lip. She had already been asked by many boys. To the fact that she and her brother just gave an amazing performance at a tournament they were to young to participate. Plus, she was popular and beautiful. Her flaming red hair, and hazel eyes were catching, she looked a lot like her mother. Except the eyes, her father's eyes. But she hadn't actually decided who she was going with.

"I dunno."

"Want me to ask Fred?"

"No, Ginny, you will do no such thing."

"Why?"

"Want me to ask Harry for you?"

"No!" Ginny understood why Hazel was reluctant. "But you know, I am different in this, Harry doesn't even notice you and Fred is like..."

She stopped mid sentence, she knew Fred would kill her if she told Hazel that he like Hazel as much as Hazel liked him. Maybe a little more. But he wanted to know for sure that she was on the same page as he was.

Harry and Ron came into the Great Hall for breakfast, followed by Hermione, who seemed flustered.

"What happened?" Ginny asked her, looking away from Harry and tried to absorb herself into a conversation.

"Rita Skeeter!" She threw a newspaper at them.

Right at the moment, Hedwig flew in with the daily mail, but she stood out because of her beautiful, snowy white color. She landed on Harry's shoulder and pecked at Hazel's head lovingly, who was sitting right next to Harry.

"What is it, Harry?" She asked, stroking Hedwig slowly, "Easy with bacon, Ron,"

Ron looked up, "Whaaaa?" His mouth stuffed.

Hermione stifled a giggle.

"A letter from Sirius, and a newspaper." Harry said. "Why a newspaper though?"

"Yeah, Sirius never sends a newspaper."

She pulled up the newspaper and Harry looked it over from his side.

" THE POTTER TWINS IN LOVE!"

"Skeeter!" The twins said angrily in unison.

"I hate that woman!" Hazel looked at Hermione. "You brought it to show the same thing?"

"Yes."

"What is this?" Harry made a buzzing angry noise.

Ron read more,

"Harry Potter has been lured in by a genius witch, Hermione Granger, top of her class has a thing for famous..."

Ron stopped and looked at Harry, then at Hermione, he started to say something when Hermione gave her a glare and snatched the news paper and read on further,

"A beautiful young lady, a lot like her late mother, Lily Potter, Hazel Potter has fell for her brother's best friend. Ronald Weasley..."

"Whaaaa" This time it was Harry.

All of them looked at each other, bewildered.

Then suddenly harry and Hazel said together'

"You and Hermione?

"You and Ron?"

"No, I am not."

They both looked at at each other, and burst out laughing. They were laughing a lot ever since the first task was over.

"MudBlood Granger and Weasley disgrace, Potters?" Draco Malfoy stood behind them with a newspaper, sniggering.

"Shut up, Malfoy."

"So it's true."

Ron darted towards him for calling Hermione a mudblood, so did Hazrl. Hazel's temper was kind of knownto many people around Hogwarts. Her wand at the ready,

"Apologize to her."

"What are you going to do, huh?" Draco sniggered still, with his wand out too.

"Apologize." It was Ron this time, his face red as his hair.

"Leave it, Hazey!" Hermione pulled her back as Harry joined the others.

"Listen to the mudblood, you two have to play nicely or..."

"Leave it, Ron, Harry, Hazel, come on, let's go." Hermione tugged at Harry's shirt.

They turned to leave as a white light passed Harry, just missing him by inches,

"Oh no! Laddie, you won't." They heard a growl.

Hazel felt her temper rise and she didn't hear Professor Moody come in, her grip on the wand tightened

"Stupfey."

Draco Malfoy lay on the side of the Great Hall by the feet of Professor Moody, Expecting detention for attacking a student, Hazel stepped forward but saying nothing.

"An advanced defensive spell for a fourth year to know, Ms Potter, Excellent." His electric eye at the back of the head, eyeing Crabbe and Goyle.
