A/N: Here we go again. Carissa and Lyna argue.

Oh, oops! Did I do another spoiler? I apologize.

Chapter 12

Arguments

Lyna

Lyna's day was not great when she and Carissa had arrived at the edge of a lake. Carissa had said she wanted to talk about battle strategy, but Lyna figured that it was going to be something other than that.

They sat down on the edge.

"So, Carissa," said Lyna, trying to act serious, "what was the battle strategy you wanted to talk about?"

Carissa slapped her forehead. "Thanks for reminding me! Anyways, I'm guessing that there's going to be way more than we'll have. Like hard foes. I've heard of this thing called the Chaos Kin!"

Lyna nodded. "If I remember correctly, it takes its victims to its place, the Chaos Vortex, and consumes their souls. Creepy, right?"

Carissa shivered. "I hope we don't encounter it."

"We definitely shouldn't. Palutena did say it's a moment she wouldn't like to remember."

"Exactly!"

Suddenly, Talia ran over. "Sorry to interrupt. We're going to do practice."

The two nodded.

At the arena, the allies split up into pairs. Viridi and Palutena would fight each other, since they're goddesses. Pit and Dark Pit would fight each other, because they've had plenty of fights when Dark Pit had first arrived. Talia and Izira paired up, because they were siblings after all. Which left Iris and Auriana to fight each other. That meant that Lyna would have to pair up with Carissa.

The two faced off. In between attacks, they worked out a perfect Chaos Kin solution, without letting Palutena hear.

But after that, the arguing started.

"Crystal Levitus!" yelled Lyna.

"Why is it almost always me that you target?" asked Carissa.

"You're sometimes annoying, and also, right now, we're partners!" snapped Lyna.

"I am not annoying!" said Carissa. It came out a little louder than Lyna thought the Princess meant it to.

The rest of the practice stopped.

"Lyna, Carissa, what's wrong?" asked Talia.

Pit and Dark Pit just glanced at each other in surprise.

"Carissa, what you said came out louder than expected!" said Palutena.

"Are you two okay?" asked Pit.

"We're fine!" said Carissa.

"I wouldn't be so sure!" said Palutena, glancing at the two.

"Lady Palutena, that creeps me out a bit," complained Pit.

"Oh, sorry Pit!" said Palutena.

"Guys, get back to work!" said Izira. "We'll deal with the argument if it gets too intense."

"I'll take care of it," said Palutena.

"Thank you!"

The practice resumed.

Lyna dropped Carissa, and they began practicing again. When Carissa sent a strong crystal, Lyna had to shield, and run all the way to the end to avoid it.

"Amazing work!" she said, when she came back.

"That's to pay back for your levitating!" grumbled Carissa.

"Seriously?" said Lyna. "I was complimenting your skills!"

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Palutena give the girls a worried glance, then continue sparring with Viridi.

Lyna wished she and Carissa would get together that well.

"Lyna! Snap out of it!" said Carissa. "Focus!"

Lyna glared at Carissa. "Does it look like I lost focus?"

She saw that Palutena was coming over.

"Seriously!" said Carissa.

"We have to go through a whole bunch of work, and you don't thank me for a compliment?" Lyna shot back. "That's mean!"

"Girls!" Palutena said.

"See what I think of you levitating me!" said Carissa.

"Do you want levitation again?" said Lyna.

A wall of energy fell over them.

"Wha…." Carissa looked over. "What's going on?"

The energy stopped, and Palutena withdrew her staff.

"Girls, I'd appreciate it if you didn't argue during practices," she said.

Lyna just glanced at Carissa, and they both shrugged.

Palutena gave a sigh.

"Continue!" she called.

And the arguing didn't happen for the rest of practice.

A/N: Lyna! Carissa!

Anyways, it should be okay.

Let's pop over to the next chapter. See you later.
