Greetings peeps how's it going? It came to my attention that there was a plot hole in my last chapter, which I fixed by yeeting Shinso right into the hero course as Mineta's replacement. Also Oghenevwogaga, your request has been heard things will start in the USJ, I appreciate your suggestion my man. Without further ado let's get into it homies.
So funny thing happened this past weekend right. I met up with Sero and Kaminari with every intention of getting Kaminari incredibly stoned. However, we ran into Bakugo and Sero surprisingly got him to get absolutely blitzed along with the three of us. All he had to do was attack his pride and Bakugo was all for it. The amazing part is he's just as foul mouthed and threatening, he's just calmer about it. We got plans to hit the bong some more next weekend too. Kaminari and I got Sero into vaping also so we are all equally horrible influences on each other.
Anyway the media was crowding the UA entrance tighter that an overbooked concert venue and good god I've never hated these vultures more than right now. Thankfully lying and saying that we're part of the gen ed course let Bakugo, Sero, Kaminari, and I get through the crowd pretty easy since they only care about the heroics course. First thing we took care of today was picking our class representatives. Momo became class rep since Jiro, Kaminari, Sero, Tsu, and I all voted for her, with Iida as the vice rep.
Once we got to lunch Momo asked who we voted for resulting in us giving her a look that just screamed really. Unfortunately the "press" broke in midway through Sero's recounting of this past weekend. While people were panicking Momo made a megaphone for Iida as Uraraka removed his gravity so he could calm everyone down. While all this was going on however I made my way to find All Might so I can "suggest" that there might be an ulterior motive to the security breach that may or may not put information at risk. Needless to say given that it was all speculation we're still going through with the USJ trip.
"Midoriya? I always speak my mind, you seem really nervous, is something wrong ribbit?" Tsu asks as she see's my antsy behavior. All of my other friends chime in with agreements. Even Bakugo asked what's up in his own way.
"I don't know maybe I'm overthinking things, but that media break in is just rubbing me the wrong way. Why would those journalists risk criminal charges by breaking into one of the most secure schools in the country. Not only for unlicensed quirk usage, but also illegal trespassing. It's rubbing me the wrong way." I explain while tapping my foot repeatedly. My peers just brush me off and say I'm worrying too much. They ain't gonna be singing that tune for long, that's for sure.
Unfortunately my horrible stress management skills carried over to this body, so as we're walking my eyes are flicking back and forth from the center plaza, which thankfully no one noticed. As Thirteen goes over they're rescue speech Jiro moves next to me.
"Hey Midoriya, you still thinking about that media break in? Your heartbeat's going crazy." she asks me concerned.
"It seems too convenient to me. A media break in on the day that we're going to a separate portion of the campus away from everyone else. I'm telling you this shit was no coincidence." I respond as I'm drumming my fingers against my thigh. It's at this point that Kirishima asks about the warp gate that opened up in the center plaza.
"What did I tell you guys, I'm not so crazy now am I?" I say as villain after villain walks out of the warp gate. As everyone's wondering why no alarms are going off and how they made it inside the USJ, Aizawa jumps down the stairs to take on the villains.
"Goddamn it Eraserhead!" I grit out as I immediately see Kurogiri warp away as soon as Aizawa takes his eyes off him. I immediately turn around, pushing Jiro behind me as I narrow my eyes at the now uncomfortably close warp gate user.
"Greetings children, we are the League of Villains and our goal is to kill the symbol of peace." Kurogiri says as Bakugo and Kirishima try to attack the gaseous man.
"You morons, how are you supposed to hit gas!" I shout right as Jiro and I are warped to the mountain zone. I somehow manage to land on my feet and help Jiro up while staring down all of the villains in the area.
"So Midoriya, please tell me you have a plan to get us out of this." Jiro says worriedly.
"First use the speakers on your boots take out as many of em as you can from the get go. Take this in case anyone gets too close." I say as I hand her the survival knife on my utility belt. I immediately move behind her and plug my ears as she projects her heartbeat through her boots and takes out roughly half of the villains.
"Damn, remind me not to piss you off Jiro." I say after I let out an impressed whistle.
"I'll be sure to remind you when you get close to it, now I'd appreciate if you helped me take care the rest of these guys." she replied while nervously gripping my survival knife. Rather than verbally replying I just ruffle her hair a bit before charging up my Lightning Cloak and rushing right into the villains. We did pretty good all things considered, we took out a vast majority of the villains in this zone. Unfortunately all good things come to an end.
"Hold it Greenie. I wouldn't do anything too rash if I were you. One wrong move and she's fried." one of the villains with a lightning quirk said as he had his arm wrapped around Jiro's neck. I stop moving and turn around slowly to face the prick threatening the life of my needlessly attractive friend.
"See here's what's gonna happen kid. We are gonna have fun with your girlfriend here and you're gonna watch if you value either of your lives." he says as electricity flickers off his hand. I grit my teeth and glare at the electric bastard. I raise my hands up in a surrendering pose. After all there's only one choice for me.
"Good choice kid, maybe you can get off to watch-" the electric prick says before I deck him in the face faster than he can react.
"Thankfully I perfected my Lightning Cloak Version Two a couple days ago. It makes taking out assholes like you ten times easier." I say with blue lightning flickering off me instead of the usual green. I immediately knock out the other eight concious villains before holding Jiro close.
"You alright Jiro. Were you hurt at all?" I ask as she grips on to me shaking.
"I was this close to being raped alright just shut up and hold me for a bit." she says and she's gripping on to my vest so hard her knuckles were white. So hold her I did.
"Ya know it was a bitch and a half getting my version two cloak ready for use. For my normal version one cloak I charge my quirk through my entire body. I devised the idea for version two shortly after awakening my quirk." I explain as I feel her relax just the slightest bit. Well time to keep going.
"So version two gives me a decent boost in power, but like ya just saw it's speed is where it shines. It took me a while to get used to the speed increase if I'm being honest. Takes a lot of work to not get tunnel vision ya know." I say as she looks up at me, sniffling slightly.
"How does version two work differently from version one?" the punk girl asks as I help her stand up.
"Simple, rather than charging my quirk through my body I just charge it through my muscles and nerves. Downside is I'm gonna be sore as hell tomorrow." I answer as we start walking. This earns me several slaps on my arm for how reckless the idea is. Since class 1-A's luck is absolute dog shit we get back to the plaza to see Shigaraki standing above Aizawa being crushed by that goddamn abomination of science.
"Well if someone got out and is getting back up we've lost. We might as well call it a day." I hear Shigaraki say. I ain't falling for that shit though so I immediately charge up my version two cloak, a very wise decision considering his next words.
"The least we can do is leave some student corpses for the number one." the man child says as he reaches his hand right towards Jiro's head. It was only thanks to version two's enhanced reaction and movement speed that let me knock Shigaraki back faster than noumu could intercept me. I immediately grab Jiro and Aizawa before putting as much distance between myself and the villains as possible.
Unfortunately even though I know noumu needs to be fast in order to keep up with All Might I only truly realized the magnitude of it's speed when it's fist was less than two feet away from my face. Thankfully All Might decided to show up and intercept the monstrosity's fist.
"All Might I swear to fucking god I have never been so happy to see you in my life." I say as I let out a breath I didn't even realize I was holding. I then proceed to use my version two cloak yet again to get Jiro and Aizawa out of the way when I see All Might and Noumu pulling their fists back. I am definitely going to have super bad muscle soreness tomorrow. I didn't even realize I pulled Jiro closer to me as I watch the two powerhouses duking it out.
Jiro tightens her grip around me as we listen to Shigaraki brag about the noumu's quirks and how it was made to kill All Might. Actually feeling the sheer amount of power these two have blows any prior information about the fight out of the water. Its genuinely awe inspiring. Right as I see All Might go for the suplex against Noumu I charge up my Lightning Cloak Version Two and throw my knife as hard and as accurately as I can at Kurogiri, allowing the symbol of peace to land the wrestling move.
Shigaraki starts to rush at All Might, but is stopped by a wave of ice while Kurogiri is simultaneously pinned by Bakugo. Unfortunately the suplex didn't do enough brain damage to put the Noumu out of commission allowing the decay and warp gate users to regroup. Bakugo, Kirishima, and Todoroki make their way over to Jiro, Aizawa, and I as All Might launches the human experiment into the stratosphere.
"If you thought that monster could take me down, you severely underestimate my strength." All Might says as steam is coming off him. He's clearly bluffing, he's at his limit and can't hold his hero form for much longer. Shigaraki starts rushing at All Might in a rage and for once in my life I decide to put someone else's life before my own.
"Get the fuck lost you hand loving bastard! LARIAT!" I bellow as I use version two's superior speed to close the distance before he can react and send him flying. I definitely felt a couple of his ribs crack on impact. Unfortunately I feel like my body's on fire from how much I've used version two. What is fortunate is that it was at that moment that the rest of the faculty arrived forcing Shigaraki and Kurogiri to retreat.
I immediately fall back and sit down on the ground as Jiro runs up and pulls me into a hug. She also immediately berates me for doing something so reckless especially considering the back lash from version two. She kept a grip on my arm while we walked back almost as if I'd disappear if she let go. It feels kinda nice, knowing one of my best friends and low key crush cares so much.
Once we were all questioned by the police all we had left to do was wait for our parents to come pick us up. The rest of our friends got picked up one by one until it was just me and Jiro waiting for our parents. As soon as she found me after questioning she subtly moved closer over time. It was only after all of our close friends left that she wrapped her arms around mine once again.
"I was so scared dude. With that electricity user. With the hand guy. Seeing you rush right at him after that monster was blown through the ceiling. I kept thinking that we were going to die. That I'd have to watch you die. It was so goddamn scary." the punk girl said as she started shaking. I just hold her close and let her get all of it out. Once her parents arrive I can tell she's worried as if I'll disappear the moment I'm out of sight.
"Hey don't worry alright you've got my number right? You can call or text or whatever, whenever you want to or need to. I ain't going anywhere Jiro." I say as I give her a hug and nudge her towards her parents.
"Fine. But you better call me the second you get home got it?" Jiro says as she grips my collar threateningly. She finally gets going and as promised I give her a call when I get home. Which ends with me staying on the phone until she falls asleep so I can and I quote "take responsibility for worrying her", gotta love tsunderes right guys. At least with the Sports Festival coming up I won't have any life or death situations going on until after internships start. Right?

Seeing as one of my godly readers gave the amazing idea to push Jiro closer to me, which is a really weird and slightly cursed statement, via life and death scenarios at the USJ I would like to see your guys' feed back on where you want it be pushed forward some more. Like if ya'll want the ship to develop every arc like having ship worthy moments every arc or having it develop closer around say internships, the training camp or even later. Whatever you want, if you even care, leave your suggestions below and I will take them into consideration and if I can come up with a way to make it work. That's all for now, peace out homies.
