THE POTTER TWINS AND THE TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT:

Chapter 17

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

"You are sure, that it was You Know Who, he was talking about?" Ron asked for the fifth time.

"If you ask that again, Ronald, I am going to take your wand, put it up your nose and let the magic take it from there!" Hazel threatened him. Her red hair, and a stern expression gave her a younger Mrs. Weasley look that Ron shrank back at once.

"I was just making sure!" He mumbled.

"So a letter to Sirius?" Hermione asked as she stiffed giggles about Hazel's remarks.

"Yes! He has been updating all of it to Dumbledore, and he doesn't say much but just stay calm, Moody is here, Dumbledore is here, you are protected as you can be!" Harry told her, as he put the letter on Hedwig's leg.

"You know he'll be mad you walking with Viktor Krum, at night." Hazel told Harry.

"Why?"

"He just would be." She simply said, and followed Ron down stairs.

And she was right, They received a letter the following evening from Sirius's eagle owl Jake.

"Harry – what do you think you are playing at, walking off into the Forest with Viktor Krum? I want you to swear, by return owl, that you are not going to go walking with anyone else at night. There is somebody highly dangerous at Hogwarts. It is clear to me that they wanted to stop Crouch seeing Dumbledore and you were probably feet away from them in the dark.

And Hazel,

You two could have been killed. Wandering the same place as your brother. I thought you had gotten more sneakier and clever. Your names didn't get into the Goblet of Fire by accident. If someone's trying to attack you, they're on their last chance. Stay close to Ron and Hermione, do not leave Gryffindor Tower after hours, and arm yourself for the third task. Practise Stunning and Disarming. A few hexes wouldn't go amiss either.

There's nothing you can do about Crouch. Keep your head down and look after yourselves. I'm waiting for your letter giving me your word you won't stray out of bounds again. Remus sends his love.

Sirius."

Over the next few days, Hazel spent in Library, and empty classrooms, learning and practising jinxes.

"I don't get it, why wouldn't you let me do it!" Harry was having a overly protective brother moment.

"She is right, you know," Hermione told him. "She is way better at this then you."

"Thank you?" Harry asked her in mild indignant.

"I mean the only reason, she is in Gryffindor, because she asked. The Sorting Hat wanted to put her in Ravenclaw."

"I guess!" Harry said.

"So try this one!" Ron held up a book, under Hazel's nose.

"Yeah, I know that!" Hazel positioned herself. "Harry, stand still.'

Harry stood in front of the cushions.

"Stupefy!"

Harry was blasted to the other side of the room, and landed on the cushions.

"Now your turn," Hermione pointed to Ron.

Hermione was showing wand movement of a Disarming spell on a spell book.

"Okay!"

"And go!" Hermione told her.

"Expelliarmus!" Ron's wand lay several feet away.

"You are really good at this." Ron said admiringly.

Sirius was sending daily owls now.

"If Voldemort is really getting stronger again [he wrote], my priority is to ensure your safety. He cannot hope to lay hands on you while you are under Dumbledore's protection, but all the same, take no risks: concentrate on getting through that maze safely, and then we can turn our attention to other matters."

Breakfast was a very noisy affair at the Gryffindor table on the morning of the third task. The post owls appeared, bringing Hazel and Harry a good-luck card from Sirius.

We've got our History of Magic exam in ten minutes! Blimey,' Ron said.

Harry had been sitting at the back of every exam class so far, looking up fresh hexes for the third task, And helping Hazel with the wand movements.

Professor McGonagall came walking along the Gryffindor table towards him.

'Potters, the champions are congregating in the chamber off the Hall after breakfast,'she said.

'But the task's not 'til tonight!' said Harry, accidentally spilling scrambled eggs down his front, afraid he had mistaken the time.

'I'm aware of that, Potter,'she said, She told Harry. 'The champions' families are invited to watch the final task, you know. This is simply a chance for you to greet them.'

Hazel and Harry got up,

"I suppose we have to go!" Hazel told her.

Hermione and Ron went to the exam hall, and Hazel and Harry went to the other side of the corridor. To the chamber.

"Where do you think you are going?" Snape stopped both of them.

"The chamber, the Champions are supposed to go." Hazel told him.

"But you!" Snape stared at Harry with stone cold eyes. "You are not participating,"

"But I am a Champion!"

"Back talking?!" His eyes glittered dangerously. "The spot light has inflated your balloon sized head, has it?"

"I have to go, Professor McGonagall..."

"Silence, Potter," He said slowly, "She is perforing the last task and the families are here to see the last task, no need for you to go!"

"But..."

"Come with me, Potter!" Snape stared.

"But I..." Hazel interrupted.

"Just leave it, I'll be back!" Harry told her, "He is not going to let it go, An hour of detention."

"Are you sure?" Hazel asked him, "I take it, the detention.'

"Oh really?!" Harry said mockingly. "He almost worships you."

"Yeah," She said," Only when he is under the illusion that I am our mom."

"That is weird," Harry said

"I know." Hazel looked at him, "But it gets me out of detention, even if I don't want to."

Harry took off behind Snape, and Hazel went towards the chamber. She opened the door, as she saw Cedric with his parents. Fluer with her family. Krum with his. She looked around the room and her eyes landed on Sirius. She went to towards him,

"Hey!" He took her in to his arms into a bone crushing hug.

"Hazey!"

"Remus!"

Hazel hugged him,

"You came!"

"Of course, I did!"

Hazel looked over to Mrs Weasley and Bill Weasley, who were standing right behind her Godfathers.
