Chapter 18
One Rescue Coming Up
Auriana
Auriana fell asleep, and had a strange dream.
She wasn't sure about what was coming. That is, until she heard Palutena scream.
Everyone ran to where the goddess was. She hadn't been crystalized.
"What's wrong?" Auriana asked.
"Pit is missing! I've looked everywhere, and can't find him!" replied Palutena.
"Oh dear!" said Izira. "This could turn into a big problem."
"We've got to save him!" said Viridi.
"Could the Underworld Army have taken him?" asked Lyna.
"No, not the Underworld Army, or I would have heard Hades. More likeā¦..the twins."
"Them again?" groaned Viridi.
"Now, now, Viridi, there's no need to get all grumpy or worried. As far as I'm concerned, Pit's either wandered off or gotten captured. But we'll save him," said Izira.
"I've heard of this place called the Palace of Prisons," said Palutena. "We should look there."
*Time skip*
The friends reached a cold palace.
"The Palace of Prisons, guarded by a foe who may be able to get past our attacks. This place has tight security. One false step, and we'll all be in danger," said Palutena.
Everyone secured their items.
They entered with no problem.
A soldier nodded. "Good good. No offensive items out! You may look around."
The group reached an alcove, where they hid.
"So, Pit's in here?" asked Auriana. They were using soft voices, so the guards wouldn't figure out what they were up to.
"Exactly," replied Palutena. "Now we just need to figure out where he is! And deal with the guards without getting ourselves in trouble."
"The problem is, once we get Pit out, we'll get surrounded," said Talia. "We'll get in trouble already."
"Not if we're careful enough," assured Palutena. "We need to slip out of the area as soon as possible."
"Let's try it," said Viridi.
They headed out, and found Pit.
"Good to see you," said Auriana.
"Same to you, but I don't think it's a good idea to do this."
"Pit, you worry too much!"
Auriana got Pit out, and alarms immediately blared. The group ran down the stairs, only to find their path blocked by two soldiers. The Princess pulled out her Ribbon of Volta, and whacked both of the armored warriors.
"Let's go!" she yelled.
"STOP THEM!" yelled a soldier.
Palutena, Viridi, and Dark Pit worked to fight through troops, while Iris, Talia, Carissa, Lyna, and Izira annoyed the soldiers. Auriana kept a close eye on Pit, holding hands as they ran.
Dark Pit managed to block a strike. "I don't see how we'll be able to handle all these!"
Auriana took her chance, and whacked the soldier that was fighting Dark Pit.
They ran out, and soldiers charged after them.
"We'll never make it in time!" yelled Viridi.
Just then, Auriana woke up.
Lyna was hovering over. "Nightmare?" she asked.
Auriana nodded, feeling like she didn't want it to end, but also for it to never come back.
Lyna smiled. "Just checking on you."
The two smiled. Not so bad for a day.
A/N: Okay, so not bad so far, but bad things happen. But strange for a chapter to basically be a dream, huh?
