THE POTTER TWINS AND THE TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT:

CHAPTER 18:

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

"Surprise!" Mrs Weasley hugged her next.

"How did you come here?" She asked,

"I wanted to come and see!" He looked at her. "Where's Harry?"

"Detention, with Snape!"

"Why?" Sirius asked.

"No reason!"

"I'll give him a piece of my mind..." Remus held Sirius by the arms.

'You all right?' said Bill, ''Charlie wanted to come, but he couldn't get time off. He said you were incredible against the Horntail.'

"Yes, It was," Hazel told him, "You should have seen Harry in the Second Task."

Harry joined Hazel and the others after an hour, All of them were moving around the school as she was constantly chattering with Sirus and Remus.

"Then I..."

Remus smiled, Only if James was there to see her. He would have been so proud.

"And there is..." Hazel looked over, "There's Harry!"

"Harry!"

"Sirius!"

Harry, Hazel, Sirius, Remus, Bill and Mrs Weasley took a tour around all afternoon, with a long walk around the castle.

and then returned to the Great Hall for the evening feast. Ludo Bagman and Cornelius Fudge had joined the staff table now. Bagman looked quite cheerful, but Cornelius Fudge, who was sitting next to Madame Maxime, looked stern and was not talking. Madame Maxime was concentrating on her plate, and Harry thought her eyes looked red. Hagrid kept glancing along the table at her.

"Bill, Mom!" Ron was so surprised to see both of them, "What are you doing here?"

"We came to see!" Bill told him.

"How was your exam?" Mrs Weasley asked him in a stern voice.

"Al right!" Ron shuffled his shoulders uneasily.

They sat in the great hall, there were much more courses then usual. Hazel sat next to Harry and Sirius.

"I still say I should do it!"

"Don't be a prat!"

"You know," Sirius started to say. "That's exactly what your mom used to say to your father."

Hazel snickered.

"It's okay, Harry, You know I can do it better, no offense." Hazel told him, "I am going to hurt either way!"

'Ladies and gentlemen, in five minutes' time, I will be asking you to make your way down to the Quidditch pitch for the third and last task of the Triwizard Tournament. Will the champions please follow Mr Bagman down to the stadium now.'

"Can I come with her?" Harry asked.

"Sure!" Ludo Bagman beamed at both of them.

"I don't like him," Hazel whispered. "He smiles weird."

Five minutes later, the stands had begun to fill. Hazel spotted Sirius, Remus, Mrs Weasley, Ron and Hermione sat near to the hedges. Bill sat with Fred and George. The dragon tooth in his ear piercing dangled by his shoulder.

"Good luck!"

Hazel shook her head, she was nervous.

'We are going to be patrolling the outside of the maze,' said Professor McGonagall to the champions. 'If you get into difficulty, and wish to be rescued, send red sparks into the air, and one of us will come and get you, do you understand?'

The champions nodded.

'Off you go, then!'said Bagman brightly to the four patrollers .'Ladies and gentlemen, the third and final task of the Triwizard Tournament is about to begin!"

"Okay!' Hazel hugged her brother, "Now go!"

'So … on my whistle, Hazel and Cedric!' said Bagman. 'Three – two – one –' He gave a short blast on his whistle, and Hazel and Cedric hurried forwards into the maze.

The towering hedges cast black shadows across the path, and, whether because they were so tall and thick, or because they had been enchanted, the sound of the surrounding crowd was silenced the moment they entered the maze.

It was so dark, "Lumos!" She said.

Bagman's whistle blew in the distance for the third time. All of the champions were now inside the maze.

She went to the other of he hedge and took a left. Blast ended Skewrts were surrounding her.

"Oh my god," They were huge, almost 6 feet long. One of them was really close to her. It scratched her arm. The arm started bleeding.

"Sirius!" Harry held his arm. It was bleeding, making his red robes darker then ever.

"Yes!" Sirius looked at Harry, he pointed to a side. They left the stand, and Remus followed them.

"What happened?"

He showed his arm to them. It had a scratch from his wrist up to his elbow.

"What is this?" Remus looked horrified.

"Hazel got hurt, can you heal me?"

"What about her?" Remus forgot about the bond.

"It'll heal her as well." Harry said impatiently.

Sirius took out his wand, the scar was taking a long time to heal than usual.

A Dementor was gliding towards her. Twelve feet tall, its face hidden by its hood, its rotting, scabbed hands outstretched, it advanced, sensing its way blindly towards her.

Harry felt himself going cold, and felt a weird calm sensation that made him queasy and uncomfortable.

"Expecto Patronum!" Hazel yelled.

Left … right … left again,There was a rock around the pathway.

"Reducto!" She yelled, "Reducto! Reducto! Reducto!"

The rock broke in to millions of pieces, as she cast a protection spell to from the bits of rock and sand. She was far along, she was almost there. The cup seemed nearer.

Cedric was coming towards her, she knew she was in the lead.

"'Impedimenta!' She pointed it, Cedric took his wand out, and said, "Stupefy!"

She fell from few feet and crashed into a hedge.

"What the hell?" She stood up. She didn't faint. She knew why. Harry felt the half of it.

Cedric looked at the blast end skrewt lying dead behind him.

"I am sorry!" He helped her up. "I mean Krum attacked me, with a unforgivable curse!"

They heard a scream,

"I think he got Fluer!"

"I thought he was okay!"

"me too!"

They parted ways as they ran from Krum.

"Stupefy!" She pointed her wand back form her shoulder without looking back.

She stood in front of a sphinx.

'You are very near your goal. The quickest way is past me.' It spoke.

'So … so will you move, please?'

was going to be. 'No,' she said, continuing to pace. 'Not unless you can answer my riddle. Answer on your first guess – I let you pass. Answer wrongly – I attack. Remain silent – I will let you walk away from me, unscathed.'

She lay on the ground. She was panting.

"Okay!" She told the Sphinx. "Give me the riddle!"

First think of the person who lives in disguise,

Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.

Next, tell me what's always the last thing to mend,

The middle of middle and end of the end?

And finally give me the sound often heard

During the search for a hard-to-find word.

Now string them together, and answer me this,

Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?'

"One more time!" Her mind wasn't working properly.

"Okay," She caught her breath. "I got this!" 'All the clues add up to a creature I wouldn't want to kiss?"

The Sphinx smiled.

"One minute...One Minute." Hazel looked at it. "A Spider!"

The sphinx smiled more broadly. She got up, stretched her front legs, and then moved aside for Hazel to pass.
