Chapter 1

(AN: Ok so this is just something I was thinking of doing for a little bit but could never think of a good way to pull it off. If people seem interested in this ill keep on going with it. This is obviously an AU and thus will be vastly different from the canon. It will be a resident evil crossover but placed firmly in the Naruto verse. There will be 0 aspects from Resident beyond the zombie creatures from it. I hope everyone likes it ^_^)

Orochimaru stared down at a vile of purple liquid and frowned. It was very thick and viscus and barely moved about in the vial. However, it was the end result of years of study that all culminated into this.

"And yet it is a complete failure."

The Snake sannin poured his heart and soul into finding a Jutsu for immortality. All the scrolls, any legend he could find and yet it had been a waste. There was no perfect jutsu for real immortality.

"Kabuto, take this and toss it to the prisoners and watch what happens. Keep me updated." Orochimaru gave the vial to the silver haired man next to him and strolled off to find a new approach to his little dilemma.

Kabuto pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and walked off towards the prison cells. If he remember correctly the liquid upon hitting the air turned into a gas pretty quickly, and it was some nasty stuff that killed everyone it touched.

As the silver haired medic walked through the dark halls of the underground base, his mind wondered over everything that had happened up until this point. They had failed to destroy Konoha in the invasion but at least were able to kill the Hokage. However, it lead to the snake sannin suffering a grievous injury that even he was not capable of healing. They tried talking to Tsunade, but she was... Less than willing to help.

He glanced down at the thick liquid that his master had devoted himself to making and yet was so disappointed. All it did was kill whatever it touched, no matter how Orochimaru tinkered with it, the end result was the same.

"Although there was that one time.."

His rambling was cut off as he stopped in front of the door that lead to the cells. He smirked before quickly opening the door and tossing the vial in. He heard it crack as he was closing the door. A quick series of hand seals later a soft glow came from the door showing it to be air tight now. With his little job done the silver haired man went off to work on other things.

Kenji sat on the stone floor and sighed for the thousandth time that day. He had been captured trying the spy on the new hidden village of the sound and was tossed into this cell. Kenji wasn't sure how long he was knocked out or where he was. He was quite honestly surprised he was not killed on the spot, but he was no fool. Whatever they had planned for him would probably make him wish they had. He glanced up to see the door leading into the cell room open for a second before slamming shut. It was back to darkness but he did hear a loud crashing of glass not too far from his cell.

He pinched his nose expecting some terrible smelling poison, or some toxic cloud of something equally horrible. The seconds ticked by and he felt nothing so very carefully he moved his hand from his nose and took minuet breaths. When he didn't smell anything he began to breath regularly. Whatever it was at least it wasn't super bad. He chuckled at their fear tactics and started to doze off. Might as well get some sleep while he could.

Kenji woke up in a cold sweat. His arm was itching like crazy and his stomach was growling.

"Shit I am starving." His words had a slur to them. The brown haired man stood up on shaky legs and groaned. Everything itched and it was starting to drive him crazy.

"And why does it have to smell like shit and rotting fruit all the time?"

A loud bang filled the normally quiet room. Kenji frowned in the darkness as another loud bang followed it. He listened as the bangs became more and more numerous. He was starting the notice an echo which made him frown even harder. Turns out the room was bigger than he had originally thought.

A growl came from the cell next to him causing Kenji to look over. Of course it was still pitch black in there so he saw nothing, but he could feel a piercing gaze on him. It almost caused him to start laughing at the absurdness of it.

"I hope they feed us soon, I am so damn hungry!" Once again slurred words left his mouth however this time he lurched forward and came to his knees before throwing up. It was a lot more than one would expect from someone with such an empty stomach. Kenji wiped his mouth before rocking back to a sitting position and leaned his back against the wall. The room was starting to fill with more groans and bangs from people hitting their cell bars. His eyes were growing heavy and all he now wanted to do was sleep. Well that and eat.

"Bullshit, why do I have to be the asshole to have to clean these halls?"

The voice came from a young girl, her forehead protector held a sound symbol engraved into it. It was the only thing keeping the wild red locks somewhat in order. All the genin had to do it. It was called "fire duty" or some shit. To her it was a bullshit excuse to make them clean shit. However it was what it was and the sooner she finished the sooner her and her team could hit the sack.

As she swept the current hall she was on she stopped at a door that had a soft glow to it. Her natural instincts were to avoid it at all cost, however just as she had decided on that very thing the doors glow seemed to fade. She narrowed her eyes at that and despite every cell in her body begging her to ignore the door, curiosity got the better of her. She walked over towards it and slowly reached out to open it.

"Excuse me."

She froze in place before slowly turning around to come face to face with only the second in command of the whole village. Just her luck.

"Kabuto-sama." She bowed deeply and hoped against hope he was feeling merciful.

He cleared his throat before further speaking, " What are you doing?"

"I am on fire duty and drew this area. I was going to begin cleaning in there." She really hoped he bought it. Hope indeed began to surge through her heart as she saw the thoughtful look on her superior's face. Maybe she would survive this after all she was just a genin, barely been a ninja long enough to know shit about it.

"I see. Well then don't let me interrupt your duties." and with the he turned and began to stroll off.

Had she really gotten away with that? It would be her last thought before a swift pain filled her skull followed by darkness. Kabuto caught the girl before she hit the ground and set her down. She would be perfect to clean up the mess that was sure to be in there, and hell she can even stay there for a while for being so nosy.

The silver haired medic opened the cell door and despite knowing what would be on the other side he recoiled in disgust at the rotten smell that came out. He frowned before chucking the girl into the room and closing the door. it had only been a few hours since he tossed the vial in to the room. He knew it was powerful but even he did not expect it to have killed and degraded the bodies so quickly. Maybe he would have to talk to Orochimaru-sama about making it into a potential weapon instead of an immortal serum like he had hoped.

Kabuto strolled off leaving the door and the cells behind him as he pondered more and more the capabilities of the serum.

Kera came to a few moments later and retched at the terrible smell that invaded her nostrils. She could not see a damn thing and couldn't help the shiver that went up her spine at the prospects of that. She stood up and blindly reached around her before finding two levers. She grabbed the closest one and threw it. Clicks filled all around her as cells doors all unlocked at the same time. She frowned before grabbing the other one and throwing it.

"Kami fuck it stinks like pure shit in here." Her voice filled the void as she saw some lights starting to turn on lighting the area in a dim wash.

Kera's eye adjusted to the low light as it seemed almost bright after being in pitch blackness. It was eerily quiet and that was very unnerving to the young genin. She tried to open the door, but found it to be locked. Her heart was racing as she realized just what that meant. Kabuto-sama was displeased with her and she was definitely being punished.

A groan caused her to whip around and search for the source. It seemed to come from deep into the room. As she narrowed her eyes Kera began to make out the she was the prison area. It was a multi floored room filled with cells and various prisoners. Just her luck she was tossed into the prison area. Although it was a wonder as to why she was not simply placed in a cell rather than just in the room its self.

"Oh well better get a look around since I guess I will be here for a while." With that she summoned her remaining courage and walked deeper into the room. Her skin was covered in goosebumps and her nose was wrinkled as the smell was so bad it was literally causing a physical reaction.

She scanned the cells and saw slumped over bodies in them. The doors were slightly ajar not that it did the very dead prisoners much good. As she walked on the body that was in the cell behind her slowly twitched.

Kera slowly made her way up the stairs and looked around at the many rows of cells and frowned. They all held the same thing, a dead crumpled up body that looked to be rotting to the bone.

"Sheesh how long have these bastards been dead?" As soon as the words left her mouth the loud bang of a cell door slamming open caused her to jump. It seemed to come from the very top floor in the prison area. Kera pulled out a kunai from her pouch and felt a little better with the weapon in her hand. Another groan filled the large area its echo making it hard to pin down where it came from. Then another one followed it, but this time it sounded a little closer.

Kera's arm was covered in goosebumps and her heart was pounding through her chest. If at all possible the smell was getting worse and worse with each passing second. She looked all around the area she was in, however much of it was shrouded in darkness.

"Should have just minded my own damn business." Her words hung in the air like a thick mist as she slowly started walking towards the stairs to move up to the next level. Finely honed instincts screamed at her to flee, run as if her very life depended on it. However, she squashed that urge down and muscled on.

As she got to the top of the steps and started into the next level of cells the smell of rotten fruit really smacked her in the face. It was so strong it had a physical feeling to it. The shuffling of feet made her stop walking and caused her to turn her full attention to a row of dark cells in front of her. The light might as well not even have been on for all the good it did her.

"This is ridiculous. I am a full fledged genin and here I am afraid of what goes bump in the dark." Kera softly chuckled to her self and took a step towards the dark row of cells. Suddenly a movement barely on the edge of her vision brought her full attention to the left of her. Another groan came from the shadows. Followed by another as figures slowly started to make their way into the light.

Nothing on the planet could have prepared Kera for what she saw. Prisoners, or at least what was left of their rotting faces began to filter into the light towards her moving at a shamble. Their hands were out stretched in front of them reaching for her with each step they took. Large patches of rotten flesh fell from their faces exposing bits of gore and bone. Kera fought the urge to gag. Her very soul was now screaming at her that this was definitely a time to flee.

The genin took a step back in panic. She did not take her eyes off of the now growing crowd of very dead looking but some how walking prisoners. Kera took another step back but only this time instead of hard ground there was nothing. She fell down the stair and landed in a heap at the bottom.

"Ugh, that fuc.." She would not get to finish that sentence. A dozen or more figures came out of the shadows right next to her and were on her in seconds. Her screams filled the room as they tore and chewed bits of gore and sinew from her. Those screams turned into gurgles before the area fell quiet save for the sounds of these undead prisoners greedily eating away her organs.

Kabuto sat in his lab and looked into a microscope. He was currently trying to work on a promising new lead for medicine that would help Orochimaru-sama be able to keep his host body for at least double the time. Oh how pleased would his master be with him if he could get the formula just right. He slowly pushed his glasses up to the bridge of his nose and continued to take notes. It would be a long night it seemed. As he worked on something nagged at the silver haired teen. It almost felt like he was forgetting something however, whatever it was must not have been that important.

Two young teens stood at the ends of their hallways where they had just finished their cleaning duty for the night. They chatted for a few minutes before one of them brought up their missing team mate.

"I figured Kera would have been here by now."

A black haired teen spoke. The other a rather tall boy with plain brown hair shrugged and looked down the hallway she was supposed to be cleaning.

"I hope that lazy bitch didn't leave it for us to finish again." He spoke angrily.

"Now now, Raji it was only that one time. Lets go make sure shes not ducked away somewhere sneaking a nap. I would hate for Kabuto-sama to find her before us."

The one known as Raji shuddered at that and the took walked down her designated hallway at a brisk pace. As they walked down the hall they chatted about the training they were going to do the next day and how they were going to bust Kera's chops once they found her taking a nap.

*BANG*

The two stopped in their steps and looked at each other for a second before turning their gaze to a thick looking metal door.

"What the hell what that?" Raji barely finished speaking when they both heard another bang only this time louder.

"Did that dumb ass lock her self in a room?" The mirth could not be hidden on the others face as he barely held in his laughter.

Raji shook his head and walked towards the door as more loud bangs came from it.

"Ok ok I hear you i'm coming hold your horses!"

It would be the last thing he ever said. As he reached the handle and turned it the door flung open and a wave of stench and bodies flooded into the hallway. Before either could figure out what was happening they were swept up in the wave and shredded to pieces their screams filling the hallway.
