"Lumos Maxima!" Harry shouted.

Bright wand light momentarily blinded them as the room was illuminated. Harry covered his eyes hearing the gasps and complaints of his friends.

"A little warning next time, Harry," Ron hissed from the sofa.

"Yeah, sure, Ron," frowned Harry. "Next time I know we're going to be thrown into total darkness, I'll give you a warning. 'Hey, mate, it's gonna be pitch black, I'm going to send up a Lumos'."

"How could I be so stupid," Hermione groused. "Of all the things to fall for, I fell for vanity."

"It can happen to the best of us, Hermione," Ginny consoled Hermione as she stood. "What now Harry?"

"We find a way out of here before those gits come back," Harry replied. "Or they call Tom."

"Why would they call the Leaky Cauldron?" Ron asked. Ginny promptly turned, smacking the back of her brother's head. "Ow! What was that for?"

"Being a clueless git," Ginny ground out. She turned back to Harry. "Any ideas?"

"Find a way out," he answered. Harry turned to Hermione, who was mumbling to herself. "Hermione! Snap out of it! We need your brain."

Hermione looked up startled. "What! Oh, right. Escape."

Harry and Ginny shared a confused look as Hermione seemed to finally come back to her senses. Hermione walked over to the door, trying the doorknob. She wiggled and yanked, but the door wouldn't budge. She pulled her wand, muttering the Unlocking Charm. Hermione pulled back with a grimace as she was given a mild shock that arced blue.

"Hm," she muttered. "Sealing Charm."

"I'll take care of it," Ron stepped up.

"Ron! No!" Hermione shouted.

"Bombarda!" Ron shouted, ignoring her.

The effect was hurtful for all of them. The hex rebounded back at Ron, throwing him back onto the sofa. A pulse of energy followed knocking them all over. The sofa tipped over with Ron in it. Hermione was thrown into the camera and lights. Harry and Ginny were knocked to the floor, hard.

"Any more bright ideas?" Ginny asked sarcastically as she sat up. Ron whimpered as he shook his head. "Git!"

"You alright, Gin?" Harry asked as he helped her up.

"I'm fine, love," Ginny smiled at him, then blanched. Harry cringed.

"Alright, you two, out with it," demanded Hermione.

"I thought you two broke up," Ron commented, looking up at them from the floor.

Harry and Ginny looked at each other with a small nod. "Later, right now we need to find a way out of here," Harry told them. His voice left no room for argument.

"Potter, I swear…" Ron started.

"Not now, Ronald!" snapped Ginny. "Do any of you know how to use a spell detection charm?"

"No," Harry sighed.

"I'm afraid not," Hermione shook her head.

"Great," Ginny frowned. "I know it, but I can't use it right now. Bloody underage restriction!"

"Here, try my wand," Harry told her, holding out his wand.

As Ginny took hold of Harry's wand, gold sparks emitted from the end. Ginny could feel a warm sensation ran up her arm. She stared at Harry's wand with wide eyes. Harry looked startled as the golden sparks changed to red and green.

"What in the name of Merlin?" Ginny gasped. She blinked as she looked back to Harry. "Phoenix feather core?"

"Yeah," Harry shook out of his stupor. "Yours?"

"Yeah," Ginny breathed. "It feels a bit different, but…comfortable…safe."

Harry took Ginny's wand. He felt the same sensation run up his arm as he did when he held his own. He gave the wand a little wave. Golden sparks with a green and red center fountained out of the wand. Harry looked back up at Ginny.

"And you're telling us to focus," Ron grumbled. Harry and Ginny shot him a frowning glare.

"We'll have to ask Ollivander about it later," Harry nodded.

"Right," Ginny agreed. "The door."

Ginny waved Harry's wand in a complex pattern, then stared at the arch of light over the tip. "Complex locking charm, sealing charm, and backlash curse," Ginny read off.

"How do you know all that?" Ron asked. "And how do you know that spell?"

"Bill taught it to me, and how to read it," Ginny remarked absently. She was running a scan around the room. "Walls are charmed, too."

"Wonderful," complained Ron.

"We're in a dome, just smaller than the room," Ginny told them, ignoring Ron. She looked up at Hermione. The older girl was looking at her with envy and curiosity. "If I can find an imperfection on the surface, we can use that to break the charm and get out of here."

"Can't we just apparate?" Ron asked.

Ginny rolled her eyes. "No, you idiot! Part of the sealing charm is an anti-apparition charm, plus the backlash could kill you."

"Oh," Ron gulped.

"Can you teach me that scan spell, Gin?" Harry asked.

"No," Ginny sighed. "My wand still has the trace on it."

"Oh, yeah," Harry remembered dumbly. Ginny patted his cheek with a smile.

"After I find it, you can blow the dome up, dear," Ginny half-teased.

"I can live with that," Harry smiled.

Hermione rolled her eyes at Harry when he turned to her. "What?"

"You two have some explaining to do," huffed Hermione as she crossed her arms.

"Later, Hermione," Harry told her with a slight edge to his voice. "We have more important things to deal with."

Harry followed Ginny as she walked slowly around the outer edge of the room. He ignored the mumbling from Hermione and the grunts from Ron as Ginny ran the scan to find the flaw they could use. It was ten minutes before Ginny stopped by where the camera and lights had stood. The flaw was so small, she almost missed it. She stopped, turning back to the area she had just scanned.

"There," Ginny pointed to Harry. "We'll have to use your wand, but between us, we should be able to break it."

"Got it, Gin," Harry nodded. "Hermione, what was that drilling charm you found?"

"Terebro," she answered.

"Go gently at first, mate," Ron stated. "Don't want to trigger the backlash."

"Oh, nice of you to finally join us, Chess Master Ronald," Ginny intoned sardonically. Harry placed a hand on her arm. He shared a look with her as he shook his head slightly. Ginny sighed. "Right, not the time."

Harry smiled at Ginny before turning to the wall. He murmured the drilling spell. Ginny watched as a spinning, orange stream of light shot from Harry's wand into the shield ward that was around the room. Ginny stepped back a few steps as the dome shimmered out from where Harry was drilling. He stopped, taking a deep breath. Ginny took his wand to run the scan again.

"Great job, Harry!" Ginny smiled. She turned to Ron and Hermione. "Now, if you two want to help…"

"Step back," Hermione motioned. Ginny backed up a little more. Harry stepped in front of her, casting a shield around them.

After Hermione sent a few Cutting Curses into the dome, Ron stepped up. He looked at Ginny as she ran a scan. Ginny gave him a nod before Ron sent a "Bombarda!" at the shield. With the sound of a giant glass shattering, the dome fell.

Suddenly, the sounds of dueling on the outside reached their ears. Harry blasted the door open as Ron and Hermione ducked out, stunning the three men they had talked to. As the smoke was clearing, Remus and Tonks ran out.

"You alright, cub?" Remus asked.

"We're fine, Moony," Harry reassured him.

"Death Eaters," Tonks growled as she pulled up the left sleeve on the men's arms. "I have to call this in."

"We know," Ginny nodded.

"How did you get out of there?" Remus asked. The four teens smiled as they exchanged an unreadable expression.

"Teamwork," was all Harry offered as an answer.
