Authors note: Hello everyone. I hope, for those of you who celebrate it, had a nice Easter. If that scene isn't for you then remember it's totally taco Tuesday today so go ham.
Some of you might have realized that the city where West Genetics is in the manga is made up. You might have wondered why I didn't keep it that way, and the answer is simple. It's hard to imagine places inside of an imaginary place. Especially since it only had a few scenes in both the anime and the manga. I think it would be easier for me and you if I take real place and add things to it. I might lose some flexibility, but I'm ok with that. Besides, if you want to see what Fukuoka looks like, or a place I mention inside of it, you'd only have to Google it.
We're three chapters in and I wish to ask a question. Do you feel that the story is going too fast, too slow, or is just right. I cut this chapter down some because I myself was worried it was too long. Please, leave a review with your opinion if you wish. Or you can tell me if I'm doing a good job or not.

"I find a good plan has balloons in it...are you going to put balloons in it?" Punisher #10 (2011)
March 8, 2064 West Genetics
"…But I'm still alive, so I guess you can stop placing bets Aunt May" Peter said to her and his uncle Ben on his computers video chat system. Genetics worked on a five day school schedule. While students had weekends off, they were expected to finish up work they were given during the week as well as train physically.
Peter being himself, had already had finished everything, and was planning to go into the city of Fukuoka today. Getting up early for doing so had the side benefit of being able to call his aunt and uncle at a reasonable hour, something he had been looking forward to. That was however, until he made the mistake of telling them everything had happened the past week.
Before he left, he had told them of his plan to deal Genetics and at the time, they had given him a look of object amusement. It was the kind you would give to a child who told you they were going to fly to the moon, supportive but yet realistic in your inevitable failure.
"Tells us again how you did the very thing you were trying to avoid on your first day."
Yeah it was going to get real old, real soon.
'Should have just kept quiet' he grumbled, out of all the things he could do lying, and its closer brother hiding the truth, were not a part of his skill set.
They didn't stop laughing for a good minute, before they started mocking him. "looks like that Parker luck is going strong" Ben told him.
"I should have told you Peter, the only thing a women hates more than doing something she doesn't want to do, is being kept from something she does " May had said.
Hilarious.
"That's too bad, I had 20 bucks on you falling into a marriage proposal in the very first week."
"Please keep me out of you weird fantasy's May."
May had focused on him, a sad look on her face"…you know you don't have stay sweetheart if you don't want to…we can figure something out" May said with a solemn tone.
Looking at her with a serious face, he responded with "I'm not going to be causing you two anymore troubles then I have. That man was pretty clear about what saying no would net me and you guys. We both know what he can do, which is why I agreed to his terms" he finished.
It was a talk the three of them had before and his answer wouldn't change. Ben and May, they took him into their house, gave him what little they had, loved him, and kept him safe.
He owed them both so much but more importantly, he loved them.
His choice was an easy one.
"Peter you have never been any trouble to us. You've been a gift, and we both love you very much. Whatever might happen, we can handle it" she said, looking back with an equally serious face.
He wanted to believe her, he did really, but he knew when he was on the wrong side of an unwinnable fight. After all, he was on that side for most of his life at school and plenty of other times throughout his life.
"I'm sorry…but I'm staying"
May looked down and sighed, long dark hair framing her face as her blue eyes looked back up. "Alright Peter, you watch out for those Pandora. They can be all over the place, one minute their sweet and the next minute they can turn feral…I should know, being a former Pandora myself".
His uncle leaned in, running a hand through his brown hair "yeah, remember that time you "borrowed" some parts from the washer to make your go cart" he chuckled, brown eyes alight with mischief.
Oh, he remembered all right.
"I'M SORRY AUNT MAY, HONNEST"
"YOU'RE NOT SORRY, NOT YET"
May huffed, listening to them making fun of her. "You act like I was going to murder him Ben, it was just a little scare" saying as she folded her arms.
"You chased me around the backyard with a war hammer…"
"…you didn't take apart my washer ever again though, right?"
May looked at her watch. "Well it is getting late over here Peter so we'll let you go, maybe next time you can tell more about this new little friend of yours." "Yeah, see ya kid." Ben said chiming in at the end.
Peter rolled his eyes "She isn't my friend, she's my abductor and I'm glad my problems amuse you all so much, goodbye."
"Bye-Bye-"they said signing off.
He leaned back in his chair. He only had two days to visit them after his training was complete, so it was nice to be able to communicate with them again. He looked at his own watch, plenty of time to get some breakfast while he waited for the train.
Fukuoka City was quite a sight, over the years becoming one of the most popular cities in Japan. It was currently only rivaled by Tokyo now. It was a hub for many industries through the world, even more so when West Genetics set up shop, providing a boon to the cities industry centers.
Genetics always became hot spots for activity and development, and cities that had hosted them became known all over the world. What surprised Peter the most was just how many foreigners there were. So many nationalities all in one place made him feel like he was back in New York.
Looking around, he saw building with familiar names to him like Trask industries, the Roxxon Corporation, and SEGA heavy industries. From what he understood, Harry's dad had built a new tower here not too long ago as well.
It also filled with all sort of international restaurants chains, having food from all over the world.
'No Five Guys here sadly. Ugh, they do have a crummy Smash Burger though, that's lame.'
He had been worried about the langue barrier. While all Genetics facilities had English as their primary operational language, West Genetics was stationed in Japan which spoke Japanese. He was worried that even though he took some language classes, it wouldn't be enough to get buy.
It had turned out though, that the city had become more accommodating over the years to suit the influx of foreigners. The English language could also be used for almost everything as well.
He would have to hunt down some good hot dog, burger, and Pizza places. His inner New Yorker wouldn't accept any less.
The city was rather nice to look at. While not the skyscraper landscape of his home city, it was nothing to scoff at either. The addition of dozens of new mid and high rise building had filled out the city nicely. Despite the new additions, it didn't compromise the rather nice temples that also resided in the city however. It kind of reminded him of central park, just smaller and more spread out.
He could definitely find ways to keep busy in the four or so years he was to stay here. Now that he was no longer worried about the language barrier, he felt much more comfortable walking around. He would skill keep studying Japanese though because chances were that outside of major cities, English probably wouldn't get him very far.
While exploring, he had also been looking for stuff he could use to make new equipment. He liked to call it alley shopping, while other more uneducated people might call it dumpster diving. Even with their former jobs, Ben and May had never been great with money, so if Peter had wanted something, he built it himself. He picked up a lot of skill in identifying what business could have what over the years. He spent a good hour traversing the side streets and back alleys, searching for something useful.
Looking around the rear of an office building he had found his jackpot in a few broken flat screen TVs. It appeared that one of them still had an unbroken screen. Taking a look around the back however, he saw it had some burnt and exposed electronics. It wasn't too badly broken he decided and, as he looked at the others TVs, there was probably enough to make a working one with all the parts.
He walked into the building, which he now saw was a lab complex for Roxxon, and went to the front desk. He nicely asked the security guard if he could help himself. It was only rule Ben asked him to follow while scavenging, ask before you grab. Not just for safety, but because it was the polite thing to do.
The guard scratched his head before telling him it was ok. When he asked what happened he told him some worker had gotten mad and rage quitted, breaking a bunch of stuff, and pushing a few people around. The guy had to be escorted out of the building.
Giving the guard his sympathy and bidding him a goodbye, he went to grab his spoils. Grabbing parts from the back of the other TVs, he put them into his bag and began his walk to the train station, making sure to show the broken side out so people wouldn't think he was stealing.
'Man I can't believe I got so lucky, it's looking like the old Parker luck is swinging the other way. If I ever see that Schultz guy around I'm going to have to thank him" he happily said to himself as he made his way to the train.
Getting on, he sat down putting the TV in front of him and rubbing his shoulders 'pretty heavy, man my arms are feeling like jelly.' Leaning back, he was about to put on his headphones and listen to some music on his way back, until someone called his name. Looking around he spotted Yu-mi Kim. She was wearing a rather nice blue dress with a white coat and heals. Walking next to her was Sister Margaret in a red dress and another woman he didn't know in a green one.
It looked like they had just gotten back from a restaurant, he looked at the time on his watch, it was already six o'clock. 'Huh, I've been out here for longer then I though.'
"Hello Instructor Kim" formally greeting her in front of her boss "Headmaster Lindman and…um…Ms." finishing, as he didn't think he met her before.
They both looked at green one with amusement on their face she walked up and shook his hand "Dr. Elise Schmitz, medical officer" she said introducing herself "Hi I'm Peter Parker," he greeted back. Yu-mi had taken a seat next to him while the other two sat a crossed from him.
'So much for a quite ride back.'
"Was this the first time you've been in the city Peter?" Yu-mi asked him, "Y-yes, I wanted to take a look around today and see what was what" he answered her.
Sister Margaret had taken notice of his pile of junk "Mr. Parker" she asked him with a questioning tone "what is all of this" pointing to it.
"O-oh um, I was looking around and someone just tossed out a bunch of TVs. So asked if I could help myself, Headmaster" telling her.
"You may call me Sister Margaret if you wish Mr. Parker, I allow all my children to" she told him warmly. "I have to ask though, it looks rather broken, do you believe you would be capable to fix it?" finishing her thoughts.
"W-well, I've never worked on something this new or expensive. I think the parts I pulled from the others should be enough, but even if it isn't, it would have least been a challenge and it isn't like I'd lose much by failing." Telling them honestly before explaining that "I think the power supply went up and burned some stuff inside of it, the video card looks to have taken a hit too. The screen is fully intact which, at this point, would be the most expensive fix. I brought some tools with me from home, so I should have what I need."
The three older women watch him in surprise. "Wow" Elise started "you're quite a smart cookie, I guess you would be get the score like you did on the entrance exam" she finished with a sly smile.
"Y-you know about that?"
"Oh yes Mr. Parker" Margaret continued instead "It isn't often someone achieves the score you did, many have come close, but few have been able to get a perfect score along with answering those extra questions" she told him. "You should be proud."
Looking down at the ground, red face from the attention of the three beautiful older women, he managed get out shy 'thank you' to which they chuckled at. Sitting with him on the way back, he watched them interact with each other, with the green haired Elise often making fun of whatever Yu-mi had said and Sister Margaret act like a tired parent.
The three women he was sitting next to were some of the most well known Pandora around. You wouldn't think that though from the way they acted. It was a nice reminder that for all that power, Pandora's and their Limiters were still people. He might look up to scientists, but he had a lot of respect for the people in Genetics, well most of them anyway.
Getting off when they arrived at the Genetics station, he said goodbye to them before walking up to his room with his haul.
"So that was Mr. Parker?" Margaret said looking at the Limiter walking away from them.
She had always been be made aware of the top achievers in each class. Genetics went out of its way to find talent and while it was usually from a Pandora, there were a few Limiters they kept an eye on.
The extra questions put on the entrance test had no effect on the main score. In fact, most students didn't even attempt them. It was for a good reason, they were made by chevaliers top minds to be difficult. A person, who could answer even one correctly, grabbed attention.
'And he got all five.'
"Yep, I guess that was gorillas' new boyfriend" Elise snarked to Kim. Yu-mi flushed at the accusation before snapping back. "W-what shut up you lying fox he is not."
'Here we go.' Margaret sighed, you'd think the two were still teenagers.
"Got to get a limiter sometime, you're not getting any younger."
"Oh really, coming from you that's rich."
"They all must get pulled in by those two planets you call boobs, I hear the have their own gravity."
"At least I have them, it must be hard for someone who shares all her characteristic with a wash board."
"Wash board! Well at least I-"
"Please stop" Margaret said intervening in their argument. The two looked at each other, huffed, and looked away.
Elise looked at Margaret "well if he's so interesting, maybe I'll take a peek at his file" saying as she scratcher her chin.
"Don't bother" Margaret told her.
"What is it under high clearance or something?"
"Yes"
"Well, could you do it for us then? I won't tell if you don't."
"No".
Elise chuckled "I know I was only joking Ma'am".
Margaret looked at her "I wasn't. I won't look because I cannot see it either, in fact only the top heads of Chevalier can access his file".
Yu-mi and Elise looked at each other shocked. "Why lock a file for a first year up so tightly, and for a limiter no less?" Kim asked her to which she frowned.
It was a fair question, if you wanted to hide something, you usually didn't make it apparent that you were trying to.
They could have made a false file for him, could have hidden his file away, but no. Instead, they left it out in the open and smacked away the hand of anyone who tried to access it. It seemed almost like someone was making a statement. Which of course did beg the question, why?
March 11, 2016 West Genetics
Peter had to admit the cafeteria was pretty nice. So many different foods all made to perfection. Apparently, being able to serve food inside of a Genetics was a pretty big deal, so these restaurants made sure to give it their A game. He had spent a good ten minutes just gazing out over the selection, it was quite a sight. The biggest line was a the Burger Queen, a rather famous restaurant chain, and a big hit on the campus. To him however, it was...meh.
At first he had wondered why there was so much food, it seemed like a lot would go to waste. There had been stacks on stacks of the same meal, piled up like a buffet. Then he saw a tiny Pandora destroy an entire hoagie, by herself, in a minute.
'Mad respect for that girl.'
While the selections were impressive, he had no intention of waiting in line, so he went over to the cold cuts area. He grabbed a ham and cheese sandwich, a coke, and a bag of chips before going to head outside. He liked to keep it simple. He also liked to avoid people and eating outside was the best way to go about it.
At least, going outside was the plan before he felt a hand grab his arm. Following the hand up, he saw its owner, one Chiffon Fairchild. She had her usual smile on her face and her eyes closed as she gazed at him.
"Hello there Peter, where are you going?"
Ok, maybe she was just curious, no harm in answering her.
"Oh you know, outside" 'far away from you, now that I know you're here' "it's nice day out" he told her.
Nodding her head in agreement she smiled at him "True, true, but you should eat with us instead. It'll be fun" she happily told him.
While coming to her room every day this week hadn't been going as bad he thought, he was still trying to keep his distance the girl and shake her attention off him. Agreeing to this would be a step in the wrong direction. He decide to politely turn her down. "Thank you, but I'm ok, I'll see you later on" he added as he tried to get away, only finding the grip on his arm tightening in response.
"I said" letting her teeth show in her smile "you should eat with us."
He tried to get his arm free, to no avail, it felt like it was trapped in cement. Looking at her with a upset face, he whined "b-but I've been coming like you told me to, this wasn't part of what you told me to do, I-I thought we had an agreement?"
Chiffon smirked at him as she stepped closer and stood on her toes. leaning toward his ear, she then spoke in a deep voice "I have altered the terms of the deal. Pray, I do not alter them further."
'…did she just quote Vader? Wow that's hot. Wait what? NO! No it isn't stupid brain.'
Seeing no alternative, he let her drag him to her table. Sitting down already was Ticy, who looked at him with amused smile. Remembering why she got up in the first place, Chiffon excused herself to get a drink, leaving him and Ticy alone.
Despite the fact that she dimed him out to Chiffon before, he happened to like her as a person, mostly because she was as bad around people as he was. This ironically, allowed them to be able to talk to each other rather easily. She also was his only hope of getting her friend to back off him. He needed to phrase his request in a way that didn't make it seem like he was insulting Chiffon.
"Ticy, I really need your help to get Chiffon off my case."
Or he could panic and try to find the quickest way out of the situation he now found himself in.
Ticy looked up at him sipping her juice, "why would I do that Peter? Before you came along, I was with her all by myself. I love Chiffon, and she is without a doubt my best friend, but she loves to tease, and I was her biggest target. Now, someone else has come along and grabbed her attention. Why would I mess that up?" Wiping her mouth, "better you than me" she told him.
'…bitch'
No, if he was being fair, he totally could see where she was coming from.
"Still…I'm surprised with how quickly she's taken to you" He looked up, seeing her smile at him causing him to blush, "you must have did something pretty nice to woo her over" finishing her thought.
He was about to explain to her that he had no idea what she was talking about, when Chiffon came back to the table.
With some new friends as well.
They were all Pandora, they were all stunning, and they were most likely in her year. The first was a long blonde haired girl with blue eyes, white skin, and noticeable…assets. She had an air of authority and nobility about her. The next was a red haired girl with brown eyes and a pony tail. He almost called her MJ on reflex.
She was currently making eyes at Ticy who saw fit to respond back. He supposed they had some history. Next to her, was a short brown skinned girl, with long white hair and blue eyes that looked like…well a child. The last one was a girl whose name he actually knew already.
His buddy, Mark Anthony, told him about a run in he had with a girl named Attia Simmons. Attia was a tiny girl, slightly smaller than the other tiny girl. Attia also had her white hair done up into drill like curls and had brown eyes. From what Mark had said she was also rather bossy.
'Oy Vey' great, more people for him to make a fool of himself in front of. Maybe he should just show his collection of magic the gathering cards to the whole school and save time.
"When I went up for my drink Ticy look at who I ran into. I asked if they wanted to sit with us and they said yes, isn't that nice" Chiffon exclaimed.
Ticy, who still hadn't looked away from the red head gave a deadpanned "wonderful."
Chiffon turned to look at him and introduce the girls "Peter these are second years Elizabeth Mably (blonde), Arnett McMillen (red), Cero Brand (white), and Attia Simmons. They are ranked two, four, five, and six respectively. Girls this is Peter Parker, a first year limiter."
Looking at them, hoping to get the introduction over with, he said to them "H-hello it's nice to a met you all."
They all returned his greetings accept for Attia, who glared at him as she moved to sit in front of him.
'Great why is she looking at me like that?'
The girls started to talk amongst themselves, which was more the fine with him. He had plenty of practice making himself as small as possible and easily forgotten and ignored. Sadly it wouldn't last because Attia, who had yet to say anything, said something to him.
"Peter Parker" she said, he looked up to her "um yes". She then leaned in "are you the same Peter Parker who got the perfect score on the entrance exam?"
Dang it, was that all everyone was going to know him by, it was like a terrible plot point in a story.
"Yes" he said, wondering why the world was set against him.
Hearing his answer, she scoffed "you certainly don't look like much, how did someone like you, get a score like that? I guess they must have lowered the difficulty"
'…wow ok, that was unnecessary' he knew he wasn't much to look at but still.
"What did you cheat or something? Probably, how else could you beat someone like me" she mocked, smirking at him.
The rest of the table got quite, waiting for his response, and for the first time in a while he got upset.
He was never the fastest or the strongest in his class, but he always was the smartest. He never boasted about his intelligence before, he let his grades and his work do it for him. It had been years since he had ever seen a B on his report card.
To hear someone who didn't know him call him a cheater, belittling his work and all the time he spent getting to his level, made him mad. It no longer mattered to him that she was a girl, or a Pandora, or from a rich family or whatever. He was going to give her a piece of his mind.
"How did I get a perfect score Ms. Simmons, well I'm glad you asked, I'll tell you. You know the part where you're supposed to put your answer next to the question? Well, I tried putting the correct answers there. A novel concept I know, maybe you should try it out some time."
Attia, who was not expecting him taking back to her, fumbled for her words.
He didn't stop. "I guess it must be difficult wrapping your head around it since, from what I understand, you only got a 470 while I got a 510." Mark had filled him in about her, while he looked her up in the system.
Attia, finding her voice snapped at him "How dare you speak to an upperclassmen like that you-"he didn't let her finish
"You know I heard that you lost your student hand book, that thing that has all your info and ID in it, hardly seems like the thing a upper classmen would do. You must be pretty clumsy to do that."
She got more upset the more he made fun of her "What gives you the right to call me that."
He finally had her "the same right that lets you call me a cheater" he said watching her pause, throwing her words back at her.
"Y-you don't know me, you've never even talked to me before, but because I got a higher score then you I'm a cheater and you get to boss me around? Lady, I've been bullied for a lot of different reason, but this is a new one."
"I've heard about you Ms. Simmons, you go around telling people you're an "Intellectual Pandora" right? Do you love to rub in others faces about how smart you are? Do you enjoy it?"
He'd met people like that, people like Charlie Weiderman, who enjoyed rubbing their success in others faces.
'And he wondered by he got bullied so badly, idiot' he said to himself as he remembered him.
Charlie dealt with his tormenters by fighting back. He went out of his way to get even and it always ended poorly for him. Eventually he asked to take some test to try and skip some grades back in middle school. He passed, and the last Peter had heard was that he had graduated high school.
He and Peter had never gotten along, his attitude and beliefs rubbed him the wrong way. It wasn't long before Charlie had tried to pick on Peter as well. Charlie liked to pretend that they had some sort of rivalry, but the truth was Peter could have cared less about him. He liked to think of himself as the next Reed Richards when in reality, he only had an above average intelligence, at least compared to Peter. He knew that as well and had hated him for it, and it was the first time he knew someone was jealous of him.
"You're very smart Ms. Simmons, more so then a lot of people. You know I-I was taught that Intelligence is a gift, not a trophy to wave in someone's face. Having it means you have a responsibility to use it right."
"I don't believe you're necessarily a bad person, but let me ask you this. If another classmate had a question for you, would you answer it and help them understand it? Or would you ignore them and go about your day, telling them to figure it out for themselves? Trust me, I've seen the type of people who do the latter…you don't want to be like them" he finished picking up his tray and leaving the table. Only to uttering a short goodbye to the others as he left.
He would be yelling at himself later for making a scene in front of the top five second year Pandora. On the other hand though, it got him his freedom from that crazy Fairchild, so maybe it evened out. Still, snapping like that on someone wasn't like him, he supposed his unfortunate situation was causing him more stress then he thought.
'Well… that was interesting' Chiffon thought to herself.
When she got up for her drink she had noticed Peter grabbing some food. She almost missed him, he had a way of walking with his head down and it made him hard to notice. She walked over towards him, deciding to make him come eat with her. She called his name but he appeared to be in his own little world. She then grabbed his arm, which got his attention, and told him to sit with her.
As usual Peter had tried to convince her to let him go, unfortunately for him, she had grown accustom to his tactics. If you let him, he'd try and use every loop hole he could find to avoid people, the trick was to quickly confront him and rob him of any options. It sound rather forceful but in truth, while she was sure he'd deny it, Peter seemed enjoy spending time with her and Ticy . To Chiffon, his resistance to hanging out with them was more of an ingrained response, rather then cause by any genuine dislike. Which was a good thing since she enjoyed his company as well.
When she finally "convinced" him to come, she went back to get her drink. She then ran into Elizabeth and her little squad. Being polite, she asked them if they wanted to dine with the three of them. They agreed, and she brought them back and introduced them to Peter. She had thought things were going well, until of course, Attia spoke up.
She hadn't expected for Attia to be so rude to Peter when they met, nor did she expect Peter to snap back her as he did.
Peter always was so shy and jumpy and turned into a mess of jumbled words when someone talked to him. She had been worried when Attia started verbally assault him and thought she'd have to step in and aid her new friend. She was surprised when the boy she thought of as a puppy, showed some teeth.
She supposed that everyone had something they were passionate about. For Peter it was his academics, which wasn't all that surprising from what she had learned about him so far.
'I had no idea he was so Intelligent though, he certainly never said anything before.'
He never wanted to talk about himself, every conversation they had with each other, she had let him move her away from learning his history. She had wondered if she would start calling him Ticy 2.0. However, even Ticy talked about her past, she wondered why he was so against it.
Peter was so unlike most of the men she had met in her life. His mannerisms were those of someone who had been bullied for a long time, much like Ticy's when they first met. The difference was that Peter never looked all that sad, he acted like he was bullied but didn't look the part, in fact most of the time his face was rather blank. Sure, he blushed and got nervous when he talked to people, but mostly he appeared rather in control of his emotions. For the first time when he was talking to Attia, she had seen some annoyance slip through, along with some sarcasm and contempt as well.
Watching Attia slowly eat her food was also interesting. He really had got to her at the end. Chiffon supposed she looked inside herself, to try and answer his question, and didn't like the answer she found.
"So Ms. Slit Eyes, where did ya find him at?" Arnett asked her.
Chiffon turned to look at her, if the name bothered her she didn't show it. "Well it was more like he found me to be honest" conveying the story of how they met to them. When she finished she decided to ask a question of her own.
"Where is Ingrid and Marin, don't they usually eat with you as well?"
Elizabeth looked at her "Marin is…in the hospital again and Ingrid had an accident with a first year Limiter."
Cero snorted "accident? More like she over reacted. She had tripped over some stuff that fell on the ground and a Limiter broke her fall. His hand brusher her chest by accident and she broke his arm in a panic. Now she's helping him with his work since he only has one hand. Last I heard Marin was giving her "tips" on how to help him, only one way that's going to go."
She did feel bad about Marin situation…but if she was honest with herself it was unsurprising.
To be a Pandora, you must have a certain level of stigmata compatibility and Marin, with such a low compatibility, toes that line every day. The price she pays for that is broken bones, internal bleeding and lengthy hospital stays. The higher the compatibility rating, the stronger you are, and the easier it is to heal you. She was an example of this fact.
Despite that, she was still the rank seven in their year, so she never spoke up against her or try to convince her to retire. While she personally still wouldn't put much faith in her in a battle, she did admire her determination. Humans were truly able to do some amazing things when they put their all into it.
Of course, measuring herself against other Pandora wasn't really fair. She was just too…different.
She did however, giggled out loud at Cero's story. Ingrid was rather uptight, perhaps this would be good for her, she did need a Limiter after all. Considering Marin already had a Limiter, perhaps she was in the best position to offer advice to her.
As for Chiffon, despite being unable to access the file of one of them, her Limiter screening was proceeding along as well. She had two or three she was keeping her eye on, but in truth, she was only interacting with one of them. While Peter might make a good friend the question was, would he make a good Limiter? A Limiter is a reflection on their Pandora after all, and she was the top in her year, she needed a Limiter that could keep up with herself. So how best to test that? She then remembered something she had been asked to check in on, and chuckled to herself.
'It might not be much of a test, but it will certainly be amusing.' She thought, as a plan formed in her mind.
March 18, 2016 West Genetics
It had been one week since his little incident at the cafeteria and a lot had happened since then.
The first was that he had made up with Attia. He apologized for what he said to her and, interestingly enough, Attia had said she was sorry as well.
She made it fancier, saying something along the lines of that a noble lady of her house shouldn't say such things to blah, blah, blah.
Of course, he had most of the fault, so to make it up to her he agreed to play with her on the net in a few games like chess. He had been looking for somebody to play with as well, so it worked out for both of them.
Right now though she was busy trying to get back at Mark, who had once again out smarted her while she was trying to trick him into becoming her limiter.
He had asked him why he didn't come out and become her Limiter since he was pretty clear on his feeling about her, and the answer he got was that Mark liked doing this because "she's cute when she's mad."
The guy was crazy.
Mark had then had asked him how his own search was going. He told him that he had really looked yet, and also mentioned that since a lot of second year Pandora avoided him, he would be waiting till next year to form a pair most likely. He explained to Mark that he wasn't surprised by these events because he saw himself as unpopular and a nerd and it seemed like the Pandora felt the same.
Mark had smiled at him and said that a scary monster probably was keeping them all away because it wanted Peter for itself.
'What a weird thing to say' and he told him as much, but Mark only smiled and said to him that he'd understand sooner or later.
His other friend, Morrison Abebe, had his own problems as well. Morrison was a lot like him, which is probably why they got along so well. With blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin and the inability to form sentences around girls, he was like a blond haired clone of him. Just not as smart or as strong, if their PT scores were anything to go by.
His issues stemmed from Arnett McMillian, who had taken an interest in him, and some jerk named Sqaul Rusty.
He had met Rusty once or twice, and he had tried to mess with him a few times but a Flash Thompson, he was not.
Sqaul told Morrison, that if he wanted to get the Pandora he liked to choose him for a limiter, he had to sneak into the girls' locker room and take a picture of her.
Which is what that moron did.
'He was lucky those girls didn't kill him, and more lucky Arnett spoke up for him.'
Morrison told McMillian the reason for doing it, but not that it her he was taking pictures of.
So in a hilarious mess, Arnett was now unknowingly training Morrison to impress herself because, she wanted him to succeed at impressing the Pandora he had his eyes set on which was herself.
You couldn't make this stuff up
Now they were both on the track running around to get his stamina up. Peter wondered if you could even get negative points on PT because if so, his friend sure as heck got them. So they had a lot of work to do.
Speaking of PT, Yu-mi Kim had convinced him into staying back and doing extra training as well. It was rough, even more so because he was bad at it. She ran alongside him shouting words of encouragement, before realizing it wasn't going to make a difference.
Then, she joking threatened to pull out her volt weapon to move him along faster. She was rather off put when he laughed for a good fifteen seconds at her. Kim didn't know he'd been down that road before.
"No nephew of mine is going to fail gym" May muttered to herself.
"Aunt May, why do you have your hammer out?"
"Let me put it to you this way sweetheart, if I don't catch you, you won't ever have to find out."
Good times.
He tried to say no originally, but then she looked at him with her big doe like brown eyes and he quickly folded.
"The battlefield is very dangerous Peter, and limiters don't have any powers. You need to be as fit as you can be so please, spend more time training. I would be upset if something happened to you."
He was such a sap for a sad look and a pretty face. If Chiffon ever found out his weakness.
'She must never know.'
Oh who was he kidding, she already knew.
He was currently walking to her club room now. When his week of punishment had ended, he didn't think he'd be back.
When she asked him on Friday what his plans were, he couldn't even look her in the eyes. She had stood with one hand rubbing her arm, swaying side to side, with a sad expression on her face.
She asked him in a small voice "so...will you be coming back next week?"
What else could he say?
"sure."
The look she gave him, he swore, lit up the room. Her whole expression did a 180 as she gave him a blinding smile.
In a small dark place in his mind, right next to his hatred for air planes and New Jersey, he knew he'd been played.
The rest of him though, had crashed and need a system reboot. Overwhelmed by her warmth and joy.
He made big deal to himself about not wanting to go, but the truth was he like hanging out with her. The last two years of his life had been miserable. Even with Ben and May he had felt almost completely alone. Being around a bright, 5'5 ball of happiness and smiles for a change was…nice.
The next day she had asked him to come to back. Apparently the student council had been asked to investigate students who were parting to much off campus. Her plan was to go "undercover" at a club and watch over the student.
He started to slowly back out of the room when Ticy asked if she would be going by herself. He was almost out the door before Chiffon showed the dress she got Ticy so she could go along with her. Then, she remarked that the two of them would benefit from escort, and she went to look at the place he was no longer standing at.
Bolting at the door, he made eye contact with Ticy who, evidently, decided she didn't want to go by herself with the crazy president.
It was the first time he'd seen an accel turn, a speed skill for Pandora, up close. Ticy first narrowed her eyes, then she started to glow a light blue before disappearing in a burst of energy. After she vanished in a blur he heard a slam.
Looking at the door, Ticy now was standing in front of it and had her arms out to her sides shaking her head no. She had cleared 30 feet in faster than he could blink, all to make sure he was stuck with her as well.
'Bitch'
So that's how he ended up, arms locked together with two barely dressed smoking hot Girls, walking to a popular nightclub.
Maybe some guys would have killed to be him, but he was sure that doing this would kill him. Or at least, give him a heart attack.
Flash would thrown a fit if he knew a bouncer let him cut to the front of a line at a club. Of course, it had more to do with the girls on his arms than any amount of coolness on his part. Inside it was loud, noisy, and smelled like perfume and alcohol.
The drinking age was much lower in Japan, even if it wasn't, his status as a Limiter would allow him to purchase a drink. Peter had never had alcohol before and he didn't want to have any now either. He wanted to stay with Ticy and grab a coke, then sit at a table away from everyone else, but Chiffon would have none of it. She grabbed him by the hand and dragged him onto the dance floor.
What had followed next would be one of most uncomfortable, embarrassing experience in his entire life. He was sure his glasses had completely fogged up and his skin looked like he had sunburn. He'd like to believe he left that dance floor with is dignity intact.
He knew he didn't though.
He would forever maintain that he did not enjoy it. He did not enjoy Chiffon rubbing her legs on his. He did not enjoy her...pressing herself upon him. He did not...enjoy her breathing...in...ear-?!
'NO, STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!' He suppressed a shutter of what he was totally sure was disgust, and most certainly not anything else, and no one would tell him different.
Thankfully, during Chiffon's little "dance" with him, she noticed Ticy missing and dragged him outside the building. They had found Ticy crouched on the ground crying, in front of a guy who was talking to her.
In another first, he got to watch Chiffon attack someone. She jumped up in the air, twisting her body, before coming down on an angle, kicking the guy in the face and knocking him out. Ticy then explained he was only trying to help her and that he was a Limiter named...label roto-something or other.
It had been an awkward trip to the hospital.
After they got back, Chiffon told them about all the fun she had and made it a point to tell them that they would have to "investigate" another time.
He shook his head, this girl was going to put him in a early grave. He tired not to think to hard about the fact that he was willingly going to her council room.
Walking towards the main hall, he was surprised when a Pandora cut him off.
She was about the same height as Chiffon, with short black hair to her shoulders that also covered her eyes. She wasn't ugly but she couldn't hold a candle to most of the girls he'd seen so far.
"Are you Peter Parker?" she asked, to which he nodded. She smiled at him "hello, my name is Susan, Susan Miller, I'm a second year and rank twelve. I'm glad I was able to catch up to you." She said, with a look of concern on her face.
She was an older student, and while limiters didn't exactly follow the dumb hierarchy of the school, they were still expected to show a level of courtesy to upperclassmen. "Is there something I can help you with Ms. Miller?"
Clearly pleased with his respect for her, she answered him "actually it's what I wish to do for you Peter. I'm here to warn you about someone dangerous. A person who, by being in her very presence, puts your life at risk."
Well ok, he was interested now in what she had to say "who would that be?"
She looked at him with a serious expression "Chiffon Fairchild."
He looked at her and didn't say anything for a couple seconds, then.
'ha.'
He couldn't help it, it was funny "hahaha…you serious?" He finished looking back at her. "Chiffon, Chiffon Fairchild, the same on I know? The same girl whose nice, outgoing, and-"
She cut him off "A murderous psychopath, who laughed and smiled as she tore 50 Pandora into pieces in last year's summer carnival, yes that's the one. Make no mistake, despite her friendly mask, she. Is. A. Monster." she finished with a solemn expression.
"…What?"
AN: Another chapter done. Finally Chiffon's history is exposed, and Peter finds out he's more well known then he thought. We'll see next chapter how Peter deals with the realization that the girl he hangs out with is a weapon of mass destruction. I hope to get to some real action in the next few chapters. Anyway as always, leave a review if you like and have a nice day delta144 out.
