SweeTango had to take a deep breath. She never expected the customer volume would be so large for the morning, but that didn't bother her.

"That was some rush, huh?" Zesty laughed while preparing his next batches of goods. "It's a good thing you finally decided to wake up, Sweet! I would've been a mess without you and Starburst's help!"

"If you knew there was a rush, why didn't you wake me?" She asked him.

"I can't help that you can be a heavy sleeper," the colt replied. "Believe me, it'd take a bunch of ponies to wake you."

"It wouldn't hurt to try! I was hoping we would start the day together!"

Curiously looking around the station, Starburst caught sight of a bottle sitting next to the spice rack.

"Camomile Oil?" The mare read. "Hey Zestar? Was this meant to be out?"

Hearing the name made SweeTango perk up.

"...Camomile Oil?" She looked at Zestar. "Zestar...Did you put me to sleep on purpose?"

"That's ridiculous, Sweet. I'd have no reason to. You said you might have tired yourself out from being excited about today."

"It had to have been you. Starburst had to wake me using the energizer gummies."

Zestar was caught a bit off guard.

"That brings me to my next question. Why aren't the gummies put on display like we agreed? Starburst found them stuffed in the caravan!"

"There's no need!" The colt pointed to the sheet pan rack. "We managed to sell every last pastry on this rack from just the morning rush alone. They've been a hit! Once the customers find out about them, there will surely be more ponies flooding our station once more!"

SweeTango looks at the remaining pastries on the rack.

"They don't look like anything I remember selling back home," she said. "Did you come up with these last night?"

"Got bit by the little idea bug! I was surprised their smell had captured hundreds of ponies! If the morning rush did that, then I don't have much time to waste in preparing for the next rush!"

"Can't you answer my other questions?"

"I don't have time for that, Sweet! With only less than two hours to reopening, I'll need the extra hooves and your help!"

"Did you put me to sleep or not!?"

"I did! Okay!?"

There was silence. Starburst could feel the shock shooting through SweeTango.

"Zesty...why?"

"Because you don't deserve all the credit! I've seen your notebook...It was full of new recipes waiting to make their debut!"

"Debut? But I never said they were!"

"It doesn't matter! I've created three new items and I'll bet on it that they will be the best seller than your ridiculous gummies! So you know what?"

The orange pony sees him going after the jar of gummies.

"Zesty, wait, what are you doing!? Please...Put them down!"

"You want me to put them down? Certainly!"

With only brute strength he had moved to the side of the caravan and slammed the jar into the ground, causing it to break into pieces. SweeTango didn't know how to react...She continued to stare at his action in complete shock and all Starburst could do was watch. The shocked mare snapped out of it the moment he began stomping on the shattered jar's contents as if he was stomping on her own heart.

"Zestar! That's enough! Just stop!" She cried.

"Zestar Apple!" Starburst tried to interfere. "Just hear her out!"

"I don't need your help," he said. "You've only made me feel like I can never unleash my true potential. Look how well I'm doing now! We...no, I managed to boost sales by 40% just from the morning alone. That's more than what we could produce at home. Your gummies don't stand a chance!"

The poor mare could only pause and allow tears to fall down her face as she peered over the jar he broke. Immediately after she turned to glare at him.

"...Fine!" She called, rushing over to grab her notebook from the caravan. "If you're doing so well, then I'm sure you can handle everything by yourself!"

"Good! I don't need you!"

"Good!"

The ashen pony took notice to SweeTango galloping away with tears in her eyes.

"SweeTango, wait!" she called after her, but then turned to Zestar. "Zestar...Are you sure you can handle this?"

"Either you help me, or not," he answers sternly while focusing on his new batches. "You're only cutting into my time."

Starburst didn't know what else to say. Feeling trapped within the tension of the area, she ended up galloping after SweeTango.

Within an hour of working on the last batch, a recent purple customer returned to the temporarily closed store. He caught her within his peripheral and turned to see she appeared surprisingly jubilant.

"Hi again!" She greeted. "I was wondering if you still have any of those Apple Blasts left?"

"I'm sorry," he said nicely. "I'm in the process of making more. I'll be reopening in another hour."

"Oh really?"

"Hey there!" A yellow pony stopped by. "What about the Jelly Bursts?"

"Within the next hour, he said…" The purple pony answered.

"What? But they were so good! I'm sure you can spare a couple, right?"

"I know you want more, but I'm busy making enough for the next rush." Zestar impeded.

"Come on!" A blue colt appeared. "I can smell them from here! I'll pay you double the bits for a half dozen!"

"A half dozen?" Zestar asked.

"That's crazy! I'd do triple for a dozen right now!" The purple pony added.

"No way!" The blue colt nearly lunged at Zestar. "Make it two dozen for that price if I get the Cinna-twists right now!"

The lone colt was starting to get flustered as the three customers closed in on the stand.

"I'm baking them right now! They still need to cool after!"

"But I want them now!"

"Why deny a paying customer!?"

"We just want what we came for!"

Other ponies that had purchased from his stand this morning overheard the commotion and began returning. What concerned him the most was that they looked abnormally happy.

"Are you open yet!?" One said.

"Come on! I'll pay you double for what you have ready now!" Another said.

"Y-You know I can't do that!" Zestar cried.

"Even a crumb will do! That will keep me going!"

"I just want seconds!"

"Give me more!"

"Everything you have!"

The crowd may appear lively, but seeing countless ponies nearly shoving themselves against the stand and rocking it for items in high demand was beginning to frighten him. What was happening? He expected happy customers, but not returning happy customers within an hour's time. They were originally SweeTango's recipes...He followed everything to the letter! Why are the customers so "violent"? It was causing him to stand still.

~Ding!~

The oven's timer went off.

Oh no...The oven's timer went off.

"Those are the Apple Blasts!"

"Give them to me! I need them!"

"Get your own! Those have my name on them!"

So much pushing...and so much shoving...

...How did a busy day become hectic so fast?
