P.O.V. Jay
It was late afternoon the next day when I was finally allowed to go home. Kim had to go in the morning to get Thea ready because she had already used her spare change of clothes, and to bring me back clothes.
After she left with Thea I was alone. It gave me time to think. It shocked me how we all fell into this role. Should I dare say as a family. It was scary how easily that we all just fit into place. It was hard to remember life without Thea, even though it has only been a couple of days. Maybe it was because I don't want to remember my life without her.
"So are we still on for this weekend?" There was my brother. I didn't even know that he had entered. It seemed to be that whenever I was thinking about Thea or Kim.
"Yeah. I mean it might be better if you come over instead of us going to the park, and just order pizza." He nodded agreeing while he took a seat.
"So what's going on with you and Kim?" He never has beat around the bush.
"I don't know. I mean I really like her. She has been amazing with everything with Thea. Maybe I love her?" Hold up did I just say love. Do I love Kim? She is amazing, and I appreciate her basically dropping everything to help me with Thea. She is so amazing with Thea.
"You think you love her?" Of course Will was going to make me talk about that. We were brothers that knew each other far too well.
" I don't know? Maybe. Can we just drop the whole love talk right now?" I didn't know when Kim would get back, probably if she gives Thea a bath, but I do not want Kim to walk in on something like this. Especially after the emotions from yesterday.
"Ok, fine we'll move onto something else. When are you going to ask her to marry you?" I wish I could wipe that smirk off of his face.
"We are not talking about this right now." Before he could get in another word the door opened showing the two people who in only a few days had become my world.
Sorry that this chapter is so short. I just wanted to have a chapter with the Halstead brothers have a talk about everything that is happening. Next chapter will be a bit longer, and might show Kim revealing more about how she felt when Jay got shot.
