A/N: Yoooooo guys, so kinda awkward that I haven't posted in a few months, you know only two months and a bit more. But I wanted to do a rewrite of the story, as I came into a problem of coming up with an idea of how to do the chapters, I had no outline on how and what to do. So this is going to revamp the story and get me into doing this more often. With this, I will be removing the old chapters as they were honestly like really bad.

I should inform you of the schedule; it will probably be a monthly thing for 5k chapters as I'm still terrible at getting the chapters out. After I get comfortable in writing 5k words weekly and consistently I will update it.

Anyways thanks for reading, please review and inform me of any criticism that you might have, whether that may be through review or PMS.

Disclaimer: I don't own Highschool DxD or the Fate Series.

Prologue

I groaned, blinking awake. I found myself in a dimly lit room. My back was against a wall. I was in a pool of some liquid. I move to stand up, only finding myself light-headed. Using the wall as support, I looked around finding a sink, toilet, and shower. A bathroom? In a daze, I slowly walked over to the sink.

Finding a light switch, I flipped it on. I understood the room now. I gripped the sink, I had tried to kill myself again. Blood was left pooling on the floor, with a knife covered in it, it was a familiar scene to me. Turning on the water, my eyes widened as an unfamiliar face appeared in the mirror. I almost fell again in shock. I touch my own face, the unfamiliar face followed.

"Where am I, who am I." In shock, these words left my lips. I splashed some water on my face, my eyes were drawn to a piece of paper. I understood where I was.

Issei Hyoudou.

May 1th 2015. Wednesday.

Math Test. Grade: 40.

Issei Hyoudou, oh god no. I was a body-snatching of the worst and best person possible. I picked up the paper, intently looking at any problems. I quickly flipped finding another set of words on it.

You have been chosen.

G. R.

I didn't recognize the initials. What have I been chosen for? Those simple words scared me.

Choose your own path. Set your own goals. Make this chance a better one than before.

Again. This person was really being hypocritical, telling me to choose a path, where there are almost no choices here. Each involves the same group, the Khaos Brigade destroying the world. Join them or Stop them, or maybe watch from the sidelines. I slammed my hand down on the sink.

Pain.

At least I knew this wasn't a joke. Slowly I began to laugh. I had always imagined myself in these situations, read about them, and even wrote down what I would do, and now it was set right in front of my face, and I wanted out. Finally, I burst out laughing.

For some reason, it was just amusing to me. I stopped myself, as remembered, I woke up in here, someone would come check. I exited the room. Instead of the vivid room, I thought I would come across, I found a bland and darkroom. The room only had a few items, a bed, desk, bedside table, and a clock. Nothing else. I looked at the full-body mirror, I was covered in blood, looking back in the bathroom, seeing the pooling of blood again, grimacing, I looked over at the clock.

8:15

I needed to take a shower, a quick one, but one that could get this off of me. After I got out of the shower, I looked down at the pool of blood. I needed to hide it, but how? This was a bad idea, but truthfully I had no idea how to clean up blood, and in that amount. The best I could come up with was covering it up. So I used some towels to hide it and used an insane of cologne to clear the smell.

I went for the handle of my door, I stopped as someone shouted from downstairs. "Nii-san, hurry up. We're gonna be late." What? Issei never had a sister. And if he did, what made him want to do that.

"Don't make me come up there." Her voice sounded from downstairs, snapping out from my thoughts. I opened the door, heading to her. I could only hope no one would check my room.

"Sorry, Asuka." Her name slipped off my tongue. Asuka, so that was her name. It was odd having your mouth move on its own. She looked at me with almost sadness in her eyes, it quickly left.

"Don't worry about it, Nii-san." It felt weird to be someone's brother, was it because that person was someone you never knew or the fact that you had taken over that brother's body. As we exited the house I realized something, Issei's parents never spoke to him or gave him a shout of 'goodbye' like they did with Asuka.

She took the lead, as we set into a quiet atmosphere. As we approached the gates of the school, she stopped, "Nii-san I got to meet with some friends. Will you be alright?" She asked concern dripping from her words. Odd again, what caused this.

I gave a somewhat reassuring smile, "Yeah, I'll be fine." I wondered what that was for. I shook it off, I would find out soon enough. She ran off to what I assume to be the direction of her class. I followed suit heading to my class. 2-F. I felt a heavy gaze upon, ignoring it, I pushed on.

"Is he really your brother?" The red-haired questioned. Asuka's smile turned to a frown.

"Yes, Rias. He is." Exasperated, Asuka let out a sigh. Rias sent another questioning glance. "Are you sure, because everything doesn't match up. I mean you do look alike, but he doesn't have any mana whatsoever."

"Rias. Are you saying that he is worthless." Asuka's eyes lit up in a fury. She knew that Devils took power over everything, having almost no mana, was a death sentence to them. Rias backed up a bit, some sweat formed. It wasn't a good idea to get Asuka angry and to get her brother involved.

"Now then, I wasn't implying that," Rias said with a frown. Asuka returned to normal. She looked down at Issei, confused about what happened last night. His dull brown aura was gone and replaced with a tainted golden aura.

"But on a more serious note, his aura changed, didn't it," Rias solemnly asked. It was never good when someone's aura changed.

"Yes." Asuka closed her eyes and nodded. She didn't like this whatsoever.

"Someone is practicing necromancy in my territory." Rias snarled, she didn't like when people did things without her permission, and when someone using necromancy, it was merely the worst together.

Asuka looked over in Issei's direction, "What did you get yourself into? Nii-san."

I noticed something about this school. Glares and spiteful words were always pointed at me. It seemed like that for various reasons. Both men and women, each with what is seemed to be different reasons and they were all more vocal about it. It looked like I had no place to be or to stay, I could see why he tried that on this alone.

"Really. He still came to school, go die pretty boy." One boy behind said with more spite than I had ever heard in my life.

"Asuka-san has to deal with him as a brother, I feel bad for her." Even the girls pitied Asuka for having Issei as her brother. It was laughable.

The funniest thing about it, none of it was something was anything he could change himself. His sister brought hate from some, while the other came from friends of the opposite gender.

Taking a seat in my chair, I sat quietly waiting for class to start. The class seemed to quieten, as two people entered. They looked like delinquents or gang members, either way, they were bad news to a school like this. Whispers began to overtake the room.

"How are they even still here?" A group of girls, who tried to be quiet seemed to be loud enough for me to hear.

"Didn't you hear, their parents provide funding for the school." The group reacted in shock but disgusted too.

"I thought Rias-senpai and Sona-senpai's parents had the most of that." The one who reacted in confused asked.

"Not anymore, their parents supposedly bribed their way into this school with the old principal."

"I have you seen their grades?"

"Yeah, their just as bad as Hyoudou-san." Comparing me to them, a small smile came on my face, as I saw the two approached.

They stopped talking as the two walked closer to them and closer to me.

"Issei-chan. You got that money, I asked for it." Ah. School bullies? I didn't expect that. Even though I didn't feel it mentally, physically I recoiled in fear.

Right before I was able to speak, they were both kicked down by a figure behind them.

"Who did that?" One of the idiots shouted back, I still didn't know their names. The figure was a female with silver hair and light blue eyes. She looked down on them, "Didn't I tell you what would happen if you touched him?"

The two got seeming ready for a fight, but they were almost shaking in fear. They slowly moved back, "Now, now, Lucian-san, you wouldn't want to fight here." Lucian, odd name but no one I could recognize. She grinned.

"I would, but you can run for now." She dropped her gaze from them and looked towards me.

"Thank you for that." I quickly said, before turning away from her, she took the seat next to me. I took a quick glance at her face, for some ungodly reason she was blushing. I had no idea why she was blushing, was it affection or maybe embarrassment.

The blush suddenly disappeared as she turned to me, "Issei. Why didn't you answer any of my texts, last night?" She seemingly pouted, I had no idea, this was very awkward.

Like the type of awkward of meeting an old family friend and not remembering their name. I quickly pulled out my phone, which was conveniently in my bag.

122 Unread Messages from Lucian Livan(Vali)

What the fuck. How the fuck, why did she send that many messages. Her contact's nickname was Vali. Really now, I had the White Dragon Empress next to me. I looked up, apologetic, "Sorry, Livan, I fell asleep earlier than expected."

She looked at me with a glare, what did I do wrong. The glare was quickly dropped, she somehow pulled me into a hug, "Ohhh, Issei. You finally addressed me by my name. I never knew that this could be this delightful." Is she love-struck with me or something?

Before she could do anything else, the teacher walked in and class began. He began writing on the board, TEST TODAY. Everyone groaned.

I came out of math class with both a happy and a tired look. It had been a long time since I did any form of advanced math, but I still understood how triangles were used, I thought I aced the test. I saw Livan drag herself out of the class dramatically, something about it told me she was doing it for Issei's sake.

"Issei. Did you actually understand that?" Livan said with so much spite, that I thought it was her true enemy.

"Only the triangles, nothing else." I shivered at the thought of even more advanced math. Then it finally dawned on me, I would have to redo high school and college again, taking every course again. I need to drop out as soon as I can.

"I can barely understand the basics, that teacher goes too fast for me." The teacher was going at a pace that seemed inhuman, he had covered almost half of the course within a month, at least that was the rumor around.

I shook that thought off, as I realized we had lunch next. I followed Livan.

After grabbing our lunch from the cafeteria, Livan still led the way, heading for the roof. She opened the door, the roof was standard, just a flat surface with fencing around it. It was bland, nothing was too different.

Taking a seat next to her, I began eating. She looked over in concern. I felt as if that was going to be a constant look for her. "Issei. Are you feeling alright."

I swallowed my food and then spoke "Never better."

"Ok. I'll take your word on it." Livan sniffed the air, wait. I began to sweat, if she was the White Dragon Emperor, she probably would smell blood on me. I wasn't able to take a shower, I just put on an absurd amount of cologne.

"Why are you asking," I asked her, I needed to be normal, and well acting was a specialty of mine.

"Oh, I can't be concerned for my best friend, no?" She teased me, my face was still stoic. "I knew something was wrong, you would always fall for my teasing." She stopped.

She looked down, then back up. She hesistantly spoke, concern was heavy in her eyes. "You know, you can trust me."

The bell rang for school to end, I picked up my bag and went off home. Livan ran off somewhere, as soon as the bell rang, with no warning. As I approached the gate, I found Asuka, standing right next to it.

"Nii-san. Are you ready to go home?" I merely nodded and Asuka took the lead.

For some time we walked home until she suddenly stopped. "Nii-san. Has everything been fine at school?" Did she notice?

"Yeah. I've been fine, nothing too bad has happened."

"I knew it someth-" A new voice forced its way into our conversation.

"Are you Issei Hyoudou." That voice was partially recognizable, but it was the face she had, that almost made me giddy inside. Raynare. We were keeping on the script with the story. The best-case scenario was I awaken the Red Dragon Emperor before being killed, worst case is I join up with Rias and awaken RDE after my death.

"A-ah, yes I am." Acting was one of my strong points in life, If I was not that lazy I probably would have become an Actor.

"That's great," She clapped her hand together in delight. "Then I was wondering if you would go on a date with me." Yes. I would like to unlock my power. A date, no.

"Wait, a minute do you kn-" Act like yourself. That is one of the best ways to fool someone.

"Yes, I would," I said excitedly, shoving a hand over Asuka's mouth. Raynare looked at me in delight.

"Yes." Raynare cheered before realizing something, "Oh here is my number." She quickly pulled out a piece of paper and wrote it on it.

"When would you like to go out?" She asked I smiled, "Does Sunday work for you?" She nodded.

Right before she ran off I asked her for her name. "Yuuma Amano." And she ran off, I looked off in her direction.

"Geez, Nii-san. You don't have to do that. I was just going to ask her something." Asuka pouted, it was not cute, pouts in real life weren't cute, that was only in anime.

"I didn't want you to ruin that opportunity." I shook my head, this was really tiresome. "Do you think he will be happy?" I wasn't able to catch myself from finishing that sentence. I began walking home without listening to the answer. Being in someone's body is odd.

"You will never be able to run from your problems."

Yes, I know.

I know he survived.

I'll fix it.

What? You really want to fuck him up.

I know, 'his challenges will be hard and he needs to beat them.'

The awakening will be as smooth as possible.

I will be watching over him, I have some business near there.

You are one fucked up god. You know what I'm gonna interfere and you can't stop me.
