Sonic-X: Friendship Is Never Far Away.
Authors Note: Hello, SuperTailsFan0812 checking in with new fanfic. I want to let you know that I am okay, in fact, where I live, We haven't had an active case in a very long time which is good.
This is my 17th Sonic-X fanfic. It's Okay To Tails Cry was supposed to be my 17th fanfic. But wanted to do this fanfic first. so It's okay to cry will be my 19th fanfic and my 18th Sonic X fanfic.
Before I start, I wanna say that I have been really looking forward to writing this fanfic. I didn't think of this fanfic by myself, it was an idea from one of my dear viewers. Stardown was the one who gave me the idea for this fanfic.
I want to give Stardown a huge shout. Thank you so much for the idea Stardown. Go check out his stories. Especially Chaos on Earth which is my number 1 favourite fanfic of all time. He and I are very great friends now.
Anyways, This story may be emotional but not as emotional as It's Okay To Cry Tails. I am still working on it but because of still loving Lazy Town and getting sidetracked, I've hasn't gotten much done on it. I also love Madagascar too,
It will be about Tails being very sad and lonely due to social distancing because of the COVID19 virus. Sonic, Chris, Amy, Cream and Chuck are worried and really want to comfort Tails.
Thank you so much so sticking with me for so long. I really love the support.
Anyways, here is Sonic-X: Friendship Is Never Far Away. I hope you enjoy this fanfic. I will chat at the end of the fanfic.
Disclaimer: I don't own Sonic, Sonic X and its characters. SEGA and 4Kids TV do.
Sonic-X: Friendship Is Never Far Away.
Tails was sitting alone in his house in the Mystic Ruins. He was crying. Due to the COVID19 virus being in Station Square, Everyone had to keep their distance as it is very contagious. Some of the symptoms are fever, sore throat, tiredness, and dry cough. Sometimes, another symptom that can happen is vomiting but this is rare.
Tails knew he was vulnerable to the virus so he wanted to be safe but struggled with not being with his friends. He was struggling so much that he would do anything to see them. He missed them so much that he would cry himself to sleep sometimes.
Every day, Tails would receive letters from his friends saying that they missed him and hoped he was okay coping. That made Tails even sadder. He wanted to see his friends badly.
Also, Tails would get on his computer and had face time calls with his friends 4 times a day to check up on them but even that wasn't the same when seeing his friends in real life.
Tails missed his friends so much that he didn't tink with the X-Tornado much, all he wanted is to try and stay connected with his friends.
Right now, Tails was watching the news and heard that the Station Square restrictions are starting to settle down after about 3 months when the virus was in the city.
Tails was relieved to hear this. "That is good that the restrictions are starting to settle but I still miss my friends dearly." Tails spoke quietly.
Tails left the house and went to go shopping to buy more supplies. But to his dismay, there was still no toilet paper. These panic buyers must be extremely desperate. He also didn't understand why toilet paper was the number 1 thing to get. Luckily, one of the store's managers had kept some toilet paper in the back and he went to grab some for the young fox.
Tails arrived home and packed everything away before disinfecting his house and made sure that everything was clean.
Tails watered his plants, made a present for his friends and posting it in the post box.
Tals smiled before he had a shower to clean himself up and stay fresh before cleaning the house a bit more to keep busy.
Tails cooked himself some chilli dogs for lunch and also made a smoothie just to be healthy.
Just as he finished lunch and washed the dishes, Tails heard the doorbell and answered it. On the doormat. There was a HUGE gift for him. Tails took the box in his hands and struggled a bit due to the size before shutting the door with his foot.
Tails pushed the wrapped box to the couch before he sat down on his couch and pulled it closer so he could open it.
Tails slowly opened the wrapping paper and inside was a big yellow box. Curious, Tails opened it before slowly turning the box on its side so he could grab what was inside. Tails sat on the floor and reached into the box and pulled out 6 medium presents, 1 bigger present and A huge card.
Tails opened all the presents and smiled at each of them. His friends must've known he was lonely so they made them for him.
Tails took hold of the card and opened it and read it. "Dear Tails. We hope you are staying safe, okay and coping. We miss you too. Love from Cream, Amy Chris, Chuck, Vanilla and your best friend Sonic.' P.S, We hope you enjoy your presents.
Tails smiled and felt all warm inside knowing that his friends all did this for him, just because they were worried about him.
Tails loved all the presents and card. There was many that he loved. Tails knew that the last gift was from all of his friends.
Tails grunted as he found the last big present quite heavy. He hurled up the gift onto his lap and began to open the present, being careful not to drop it.
Inside the big present was a Picture frame with a yellow, orange and blue frame. It had a photo of him and his friends them together when it was the first time they met, and when the Mobians first arrived on Earth.
Tails smiled at this. His friends must've known he was extremely lonely so they decided to make all of these gifts and card for him. Tails was so glad to have them as his best friends. Tails' eyes welled up in tears but tried to calm down but it was impossible.
Tails began to slowly burst into tears. He clutched the picture and sobbed his heart out. He really really really missed his friends dearly and badly.
Tails curled up in his tails and continued crying. "Oh, guys! 'Sob' Sob' I miss you. I-I-I-I M-m-m-miss y-y-y-you s-s-s-so m-m-much!" Tails sobbed.
Unknown to Tails, a figure outside was watching him breaking down.
It was Sonic. He was concerned about the young fox being so lonely was wanted to be there for him but knew he may violate the restrictions.
He glad that Tails loved all the gifts that they send him. But now, he must return home and give his friends a call so they could cheer Tails up.
As soon as Sonic got home, He opened his computer before going on a face time website.
Sonic decided to start a face time call to tell the others what he saw at Tails' place and felt really sorry and sad.
After logging on and sending a message, The others joined in the chat.
"Hi, guys." Sonic greeted.
Amy, Cream, Chuck, Vanilla and Chris smiled. "Hi Sonic!" they all greeted.
Chris looked worried. "Is Tails coping okay? I mean with the virus and everything?" Chris asked.
Sonic looked sad about this. "Unfortunately not very well. Tails was at this house. He had opened our gifts but when he opened the one from us, he broke down sobbing. Saying that he really really misses us." Sonic explained.
Everyone gasped. Poor Tails was coping so well with the virus at all.
Chris was mostly worried about Tails. "Poor Tails. The poor guy really needs cheering up." Chris explained, Worried.
"Yeah!" The others agreed.
Everyone took a moment to reflect on this until Chris thought of something..
"Hey guys, Why don't we make Tails some cards and gifts and we can surprise him in person. That will cheer him up." Sonic spoke.
The rest perked up before cheering.
"Great idea Chris. We can go and make some special gifts for him for tomorrow and then we can surprise him. I heard that some of the restrictions are easing by tomorrow and we can surprise him then." Sonic agreed.
"Got it!" Everyone cheered and logged out of their computers. They then began making gifts to cheer Tails up.
When they were finished, they went to bed, eager to surprise Tails.
Sonic smiled as he went to bed, knowing that the virus is now reaching its end. He was also looking forward to seeing Tails' reaction to their surprise. The rest of the gang was so excited too.
The next morning, Tails was still feeling cooped but lonely and decided to take a bit of a walk to cheer himself up.
Afterwards. Tails cleaned up, had breakfast, brushed his teeth and got dressed before heading to the door while he got a mask and put it on.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang and startled the fox, He wasn't expecting anyone at the door today so he was a bit wary and nervous.
We ran to the front and too to utter shock, there were gifts that were stacked up to 15. There was a note that indicated to which gifts were from who.
Tails picked them up one by one before shutting the door to open them.
Tails started opening the gifts and was happy by each one. They were from his friends.
Tails loved all the presents but still felt upset that he couldn't see his friends. Unknown to him, His friends were watching through the window.
The friends continued to watch before the moment was right before walking inside and hid near the kitchen where Tails was still oblivious to what was going on.
Tails smiled at all the gifts but didn't know what the surprise was not over just yet.
Tails yelped as he senses a presence next to him. "WHOA! What was that?!" Tails yelped.
He turned around and saw that the door was open. "What in Mobius. My door wasn't open before." Tails spoke in confusion. Carefully, Tails shuts the door.
Tails smiled before he yelped loudly in surprise as heard something. He was starting to get nervous. "U-U-Um, I-I-Is anyone here?" Tails asked, starting to shake.
Suddenly, Tails was pulled into a big hug causing him to yelp in fright and saw his best friends with him. Tails pulled away and became scared and confused. "G-G-G-GUYS!? What are you doing here?!" Tails asked.
Sonic smiled. "I was watching you last night and I felt so bad. I dashed back home and told everyone you were feeling lonely and Chris thought that we can surprise you in person to cheer you up." Sonic explained.
Cream smiled. "We didn't want to feel lonely anymore Mister Tails." Cream spoke.
"Sorry about scaring you Tails, We wanted to surprise you," Amy explained.
Tails was still shocked but found his voice. "B-B-But why?" He asked.
Chris smiled and wrapped an arm around his friend. "Because we all love you Tails. You are a dear friend to all of us." Chris replied.
Tails didn't know how to process this, He was so overjoyed and happy that he began to cry in joy. He had missed his friends so badly. He dropped to his knees and sobbed harder. "G-G-G-G-Guys! I-I-I-I m-m-m-missed y-y-y-y-you a-a-all so m-m-much!" Tails sobbed.
Cream, Chuck, Amy, Vanilla, Chris and Sonic all hugged Tails tightly.
Tails continued crying in tears of joy. He was so joyful, happy and now free from his loneliness.
Tails was now a very very happy young fox.
End of Story!
Authors Note: That concludes Sonic-X: Friendship Is Never Far Away.
I then wanted to have Tails go shopping for supplies and have the panic buyers buy all the toilet paper as it is happening still. I still don't know what it means to get toilet paper. Anyways, I loved that extra detail.
I know this was a short fanfic but it was worth it. Thank you so much for the idea Stardown. You are way past cool, my friend.
I felt so bad for Tails in this story. I was feeling very lonely during self-distancing. So badly that I was kinda depressed for a bit but I am okay.
Next Sonic X fanfic will be It's Okay To Cry Tails. I really hope you enjoyed this story even though it wasn't my best. The next fanfic will be much different, it will be a Madagascar fanfic.
See you then, goodbye for now.
