AN: This takes place directly following Time of the Titans.

As the Allosaurus dug into its meal, Sean let out a sigh - getting all of the new arrivals into paddocks had been difficult, to say the least. Why, exactly, did they end up rescuing so many creatures from the past? And how was the park even able to hold so many creatures without any of them starving? It didn't make any sense!
And that was the least bizarre thing on his mind right now. After all, the allosaur he was staring at hadn't come from the Jurassic Period, but from ISLA NUBLAR! That's right, it came straight out of fiction. Just how was that even possible?!
"You know, you shouldn't shout stuff like that out loud."
Sean did not let out a surprised 'eep' at that comment from his sister Elise. Not at all. Anyone who said otherwise was a liar he was going to tar and feather.
"Well, it is rather absurd."
Elise shrugged. "Not saying it isn't. Still, I think it is kind of cool. Plus we got to save the Brachiosaurus. How is she doing, by the way?"
"She's doing fine," answered Tristan. "Suzanne's been checking on her for the five hours, and aside from a few minor cuts and burns, she's in fantastic health, and should make a full recovery. That being said, Sean isn't the only one worried about the fact that the time portal can open up to fictitious worlds."
Sean raised an eyebrow at that. "Why, dear brother, should we be worried?"
"Well, for all we know, the portal could open up to a much meaner movie, book, or video game, like...Dino Crisis, or maybe that cheesy campaign from Zombies, Monsters, Robots, or even Carnivores."
"True enough," conceded Sean, but I do believe that you are missing the point here."
"And that is?"
"What if our timeline is one of fiction?"
Tristan and Elise both stared at their brother, both shocked and confused by his statement. "What?"
"I'm saying, at least relative to other timelines, what if ours is a fictional work. The fact that we have gone to timelines where fictional works are reality would suggest that the opposite is possible."
Tristan quirked an eyebrow at that. "That's preposterous."
"Oh really?"
"Yes, really - and hear me out on this. I acknowledge your position as a possibility...but I don't think that we'll encounter such a universe."
"And why is that?"
"Because I highly doubt that someone would write a story about time travel that has a cast who suddenly ends up entering a fictitious world. It seems...kinda contrived?"
"Truly?"
"Yes, truly - I mean, I would fully expect someone to write about Prehistoric Park, maybe even make it a series. A universe where Walking With Dinosaurs and its sequels/spin offs are truly fictional? Also possible. But a universe where all of this is true and then the cast heads to Jurassic World, even though the movie is fiction there? That sounds like a crappy fanfiction."
"...You have a point."
"Good. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to shower and look up cheesy fanfiction about Planetary Annihilation Commanders."
