A/N: This came out… anticlimactic. I'm sorry about that.
Chapter Ten: DATE NIGHT!
"Are you guys sure about this?" Jimmy whimpered, rearranging his shirt so it sat comfortably against his chest. Steve got up to adjust his collar (and help Jimmy out of the twisted mess that was his tie). "It's ridiculous! I'm just going to Destiny's house!"
"Probably not," Elli shrugged. "But it could help, and besides, it's fun to watch you squirm."
"Hardy-har-har," Jimmy snapped sarcastically, as Steve finished his tie. "How does this work again?"
"This side," Steve pointed to the thin bit. "Makes it tighter. This bit," He pinched the wide part of the tie. "Makes it looser. Got it?"
"I… think?" Jimmy adjusted it a bit, then made a face at Elli. "You don't have to wear ties, don't look at me like that!"
"Sorry," Elli held up her hands defensively. Downstairs, Sarah shouted for Elli. "SOMEONE'S HERE FOR YOU!"
"She's here!" Elli giggled in a sing-song voice.
"Don't remind me!" Jimmy covered his eyes. "Okay, what do I do again?"
"Ask about her father," Steve suggested. "See if she knows anything about what he's planning or what happened to Alex. That's it."
"You sure?"
"Yup."
"Alright," Jimmy sighed. "I'm ready."
They made their way downstairs, and Steve and Elli waited on the stairs while Jimmy and Destiny interacted for a while. Finally, they left, and Steve and Elli went back upstairs.
"I wish we could see what he was doing right now," Elli lamanented. "That's a lot better than just sitting here."
"Well, we could try and look into the history of Mr. Braxon. You guys keep records, right?" Steve asked.
"We have a library," Elli offered. "We can head over there if you want."
"Sure," Steve got up off the stairs he was sitting on and led the way out of the house. Elli caught up to him soon, and she got him to the library, which was dark, boring, and… sad.
Heading to the back, Steve stopped Elli. "In here,"
Heading inside, the entire room was filled with records that were kept of the village and its inhabitants. Steve opened a chest and motioned for Elli to do the same. Now, to find some dirt on this Braxon guy.
"You're so funny," Destiny giggled, slinging an arm around Jimmy as the two teenagers made their way inside of her family's luxurious mansion.
Jimmy bit his lip, trying not to reveal his discomfort. "Um, thanks, Destiny."
She fluttered her eyelashes at him. "Call me Dessi." She giggled again, flinging open the door. "Welcome to my 'humble' abode!"
Jimmy faked a smile. "Woah, this place is huge!" An idea popped into his head. "Can you give me a tour?"
Destiny sighed dramatically. "I thought you'd never ask!" She grabbed one of Jimmy's hands and began leading him through the house. "This is the entryway, it's like, super big. Through this hallway is the kitchen, and next to it is the living room!"
Jimmy took a deep breath. "Where's you dad's office?"
"In here!" Destiny threw open two wide dark oak doors and darted inside. "It's suuuuper lame though, I'd rather show you my… hem…. Bedroom?"
"Yeah, in a minute," Jimmy waved her off, not registering what she was saying with his mission at hand. He looked across the shelves, looking for anything that could reveal Braxon's plans. Spotting an odd-looking painting, he crossed the room to look at it closer. "What's this?"
"I dunno, like a monster or something," Destiny shrugged, looking at a trinket on the wall. "Ask my dad."
"What do you need to ask me?" A voice asked, as Mr. Braxon waltzed into the room, looking around curiously.
Jimmy's heartbeat sped up to about a million miles an hour, and he took a deep breath. "I… um- I was just wondering what this creature was?"
"Oh, that's a wither," Braxon came to stand beside Jimmy, and placed a hand on his shoulder. Jimmy suppressed a shudder. "They're massive three-headed beasts with explosive abilities. Just a myth, however. There's nothing to worry about, James."
"Thanks," Jimmy took another breath, glancing at his feet. He stared at Mr. Braxons dirty shoes, then realized something. The moss and fungus stuck to his boots… if he'd kidnapped Alex, then…. "Hang on, I um, I have to go-"
"But you just got here!" Destiny exclaimed. Jimmy pressed past her and stumbled out the door. Racing through the streets, he thought over what he'd just seen. That was podzol. Podzol was only found in one area of the world (at least the immediat one).
Wherever Alex had been taken, it was beyond the spruce forests.

Moatazabou4: Y'know, you act a lot like your character. Cynical and factual. I like it.
JimmyPenguin: 1. Herobrine mentions in Fall to Darkness that Ella has two siblings, a sister (I've forgotten her name) and a brother, Carlos.
2. Yes they will explore one.
3. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
4. Oh, I think you know ;)
ScarOfHerobrine: Did…. did you just realize that? It was in the prologue!
Elbert The Cookie: It was Braxon.
