Disclaimer: I do not own Rurouni Kenshin, but I own some characters in the story. Some of their names might be familiar in another anime so heads up.
The Strings of Fate and Destiny: SUN SAGA
Fate and Destiny don't mingle with each other.
They have different purposes and ending towards the gods, humans and demons, but sometimes both of them can be in one path. It's just needs a matter of time and patience for it to happen.
Summary: Kamiya Kaoru met a strange older lady during her routine prayers in the temple. The old lady told her life fortune that it has twist and turns, which leads her to believe that it must have something to do with the current situation with her family. To prevent this from happen, she ran away from home and venture to another path. What she didn't know, it was just the beginning.
Prologue
It was said that the moon was the most beautiful light that shines in the sky, but it rivals by the vibrant beauty of the main district candle light of the Shinku kingdom.
Like any nights, some civilians were doing their nightly routine before they call it a day, while some others are busy preparing for tomorrows business. Some just stay at their homes and cosy themselves in front of the fire as they tucked their children to bed. Castle guards do their night shifts and patrols in each corner of the kingdom.
It was another peaceful night.
Above the mountains where the Moon Goddess herself sits at the edge and listens to the soft music and murmurs of the happy and carefree civilians. She smiled and leans forward and cups her face with her right hand.
"To be young and innocent…" she murmured to herself.
"You sound like you're not young yourself, your grace."
The goddess doesn't need to look behind her. She already knew who it was.
She scoffed, "So I'm not innocent?"
"You could be, if you wanted to."
"Your point exactly"
The man chuckled, "As much as I want to lose myself from the view, there are other matters that we must address."
The goddess was silent for a little while before she stood up, levitating in the air and turned, "Speak then."
"My men told me in regards the progress of the Crown Prince training, and some…. Interesting things going on in his training."
"Oh… So I assumed that he is showing his true powers"
"I believe so, Yuuko-sama."
She hummed as she gazed the moon above them, "Then it must be near for them to meet."
"Do you think now's the right time, my grace?"
The moon goddess, Yuuko chuckled as her eyes landed to him and while the rush of the chilly wind dances through her dress and hair, "Yes, it is indeed the right time…
… but for now, Destiny shall be the one to lay its card than Fate."
To be continued.
