(after he got up in steam, Thomas did his usual jobs with Lady helping him. The two tank engines had a wonderful time as they chatted and flirted with one another, as they puffed to and fro. when the days work was complete, Lady was exasted, and since there were only 4 berths at the sheds, Thomas, allowed the 0-4-0 to sleep in his berth, as he stayed outside. As thomas watched lady fall asleep, the e2 smiled at her, as timothy rolled up next to him.)
Timothy: She must be very precious for you to give up your spot willingly.
Thomas: (smiles) she really is, timothy. apart from the fact that she's the guardian of the magic that gives us our life, she's also been through so much. Though it might sound selfish, I want nothing more then for lady to continue to being able to smile.
Timothy: I see. (smiles) and I find nothing wrong with that wish, brother. though we're machines, we can still feel the same feelings that humans do, and we have the right to feel love.
thomas: yeah. we do. I mean, if we aren't allow to love, then what's the point of having emotions?
Timothy: exactly my point. now then, you'd better get some rest brother. Busy day as usual tomrrow.
Thomas: yes timothy. (in mind) I hope nothing bad will ever happen to her ever again.
(meanwhile, Bowler the diesel, was heading towards barrow in furness, to sleep at the sheds there. when he arrive, bowler saw a long blue diesel in one of the berths. as bowler backed down into the sheds, the blue diesel began a conversaiton with him.)
?????: oh, D261. you're back sooner than expected. haven't you got the express to pull?
Bowler: No D199. Fatt Hatt, give it back to that big blue kettle of his.
D199: oh, how dare he do such a thing. You derserve it, not those old rust buckets.
Bowler: exactly! That excuse of a controller just doesn't know how to run a darn railway, even if he tried.
D199: I know! If that fat man doesn't scrap those "engines" of his soon, it'll close.
Bowler: percisely! (groans) but still, I wish those kettles were just gone. That railway needs to grow up and accept the mondernizeation of beaching's Axe. We are revoloutionary! We deserve better than being stuck with smelly old steamers!
D199: agreed. so, let's show them all tomrrow how better of a engine we are.
Bowler: right.
(but, unbeknownest to the two diesels, a class 08 shunter who was eavesdroping nearby had heard every word they said. the shunter then departed out of the yard and down to the scrapyards, and stopped by massive shed which had a shadowy shape of long diesel inside. The shunter then gave his report.)
Shunter: Reporting in sir. I was shunting in the yards over by barrow in furness, and over heard the conversaiton of two diesels who appertally are working on sodor. from what I've over heard, they could be possible allies of ours.
?????: Exellent work. (rasies claw) now, here's your payment.
(then the diesel in the shed tore the shunter apart with his claw as the lackey screamed. then once everything was silent, the long diesel lowered his claw and smirked evilly.)
?????: (sighs) soon, I'll get my revenge on that little blue puffball and rip that Lost engine into bits, and finally take the island as my own. (laughs manically.)
(The next moning on sodor, the engines of the NWR were working hard as usaul. as thomas pulled into knapford station, he noticed a cloud of a golden, gitter substance appearing on the platform. once the cloud dissapated, the E2 recognized the two figures that were standing there.)
Thomas: Mr Conductor! Junior!
Mr C: hello thomas. I apolgise for the surpised visit, but, Sir topham hatt wants me and junior to assist here and there for the time being. you and I both know that he can't be at mupitle places at once.
Thomas: I see. well, I'm grateful for the extra hands for this season has been so busy and exhasuting for us.
Mr C: I heard. and you and your friends had been doing an outstanding job trying to keep to time. You lot keep up the good work, okay?
Thomas: will do Mr C. (guard's whistle blows.) oh, it's time for me to leave. I'll see you both later.
(then thomas departed from knapford station with his two coaches in tow.)
To be continued...
