(back on sodor, Lady was busy shunting at Farquhar station. the 0-4-0 was hard at work pushing and pulling the trucks into their proper places. Lady was about to do more, when thomas came into the station. The E2 had a worried look across his face and was silent. Lady then chuffed right next to him to find out what the matter was.)

Lady: hey thomas. are you okay? you look so worried.

Thomas: I am Lady. Percy is my best friend, and he's gone missing, along with Bill and ben. If these disappearances of engines keep happening, well, we might not have any left to run it. The NWR may have to close down, and those of us remaining are scrapped. It's all very frightening Lady, especially when we don't know who will disappear. I'm so scared Lady, what if you disappear? What if Percy Bill and Ben are goners?

(Lady then sighed as she looked at the engine she loved, she could tell that Thomas was indeed frightened, and rightfully so. Lady then gave Thomas a smile as she looked at him.)

Lady: I won't, thomas. I refuse to disappear. for I don't want to be separated from you ever again. I don't give a darn that we're machences, my feelings for you are true and I refuse to let those who disagree say otherwise. and as for percy, bill and ben, i'm sure that they'll stick together and help one another. it's even possible that percy found something that might lead to the twins and went off to find them.

Thomas: Yeah, that could be true, but still, what if...

Lady: Thomas, please. calm down. if there's one thing I know about the engines of the NWR, it's that no matter what happens, they won't stop at just once to help one another and to be reliable.

(thomas then looked at his buffers, completely silent. The E2 knew that Lady was right, for he never gave up on any of his friends. Thomas then, looked up and managed to crack a brave smile.)

Thomas: yeah, you're right, Lady. I should have a lot more faith in percy and everyone else than I am right now. Although small, Percy is one of the bravest engines I know, he won't want me worrying so much.

Lady: exactly my point. Now, we better head to the quarry. we have an important shipment today.

Thomas: Right!

(so thomas then shunted annie and clarabel in a siding and then after doing so, he and Lady chuffed off to the quarry together, to their job.)(that night, Timothy volunteered to take the mail train, but as he chuffed into one of the junctions, he found Duck waiting there to go home. Upon seeing that both signals were at red, the elderly E2 decided to pass the time and chatted with the pattiner tank.)

Timothy: Evening Duck.

Duck: Evening Timothy. Pulling the mail train I see.

Timothy: Yup. I volunteered to do the job since Percy isn't here to pull it.

Duck: I see. (frowns) do you think that more of us will vanish?

Timothy: to be honest, I don't know. But, there has to be someone behind these disappearances.

Duck: I agree. (looks at signals and scowls.) Arugh! It's still red?! I should be green by now!

Timothy: (looks at signal) Yeah it should. (looks back at Duck.) (sniggers) maybe the signalman is sleeping on the job again.

Duck: I wouldn't be too sure of that timothy. This signal is controlled by a computer, so there is no-one inside.

Timothy: Then, why isn't it turning green? We're the only engines out right now.

(But timothy was wrong, for all of the sudden, the two tank engines heard the sounds of a diesel's engine in the distance. Then, before either of them could say anything else, They felt a bash from behind, and everything went black, Duck and timothy were unconscious.) (back at the sheds near tidmouth. Lady was asleep until she was awoken by a sound. The little engine then looked over to see bowler the class 40, with the breakdown train in tow. having a feeling that something sketchy is up, Lady, using her magic, silently tailed the diesel. It wasn't long before Lady found his destination along with much more, as she listened to him speak to D199.)

Bowler: here's the crane. Now let's hurry and get these little engines loaded before anyone finds us out.

D199: right.

(at first Lady was confused, but then she saw the cranes lifting timothy and duck onto flatbeds that were behind D199. the 0-4-0 then realised what was happening.)

Lady: OI! stop right there!

Bowler: (to D199) RUN!

D199: right!

(then, the two diesels make a run for it as Lady chases after them all the way to vicarstown. as the diesels were about to cross the bridge, Lady shunted a line of trucks that were nearby missing D199 and his flatbeds, while crashing bowler. though she failed to stop another kidnapping, Lady had found the culprits and now had a prisoner to interrogate.)
