(the next morning, Lady told sir topham about her captive, and then the controller called some of his engines to the sheds at knapford where Bowler stood on the turntable, with everyone around his glaring at him, feeling very cross as they hissed steam and blew angry whistles at him.)

Thomas: HOW DARE YOU TAKE MY BROTHER AND BEST FRIEND!

Edward: You have really done it this time D261.

Gordon: you're so... DISGRACEFUL!!

James: DISGUSTING!!!

Henry: DESPICABLE!!!!!

Donald: You dare take our friends you fiend?! Well Big mistake laddy!

Douglas: Aye! Once we're through with you, you'll be sent home in tiny pieces!

(The angry comments and whistles then continued to get louder and louder. Then, seeing that it was going to get out of control, Sir Topham shouted at the top of his lungs.)

STH: SILENCE!!!!! (engines stop) Now listen, I understand that you're all cross, but shouting and whistling at the accused would not make anything better.

(the engines nodded and then turned their attention back to Bowler, as Sir Topham Hatt, began to interrogate.)

STH: So D261, I hear from Lady that she caught you and D199, Kidnapping two of my engines last night. Will you confess the truth willingly or will I have to...

Bowler: No bag of sugar needed sir. Yes, me and D199 have been kidnapping your engines the last couple of nights, but, we were tasked to do it.

STH: tasked? by whom?

Bowler: Diesel 10.

(The engines dropped their jaws upon hearing the name, it was shocking for them, for they haven't heard of the class 42 warship in two decades. Sir Topham Hatt then looked at bowler straight into the eye and spoke sternly.)

STH: What does Diesel 10 hope to accomplish from taking my engines? Does he intend to scrap them?

Bowler: No... He doesn't intend to scrap them, or at least, not yet. He's planning on having your engines be as "bait" for the lost engine, so she'd come running onto the other railway, so he could finish her.

(Thomas then gnashed his teeth as he rolled very crossly towards bowler. The E2 was beyond furious.)

Thomas: Is that what he thinks? If so, then I won't allow it. Lady is an engine of the NWR, and she won't be scrapped. No matter what diesel 10 thinks, his plan will backfire just like the last time, for he may be scary, but he is an idiot, and I say, even IF he succeeds, he won't get what he wants in the end, for if you destroy the sentient engine that is the guardian of the magic railway, you'll destroy, every sentient vehicle. no matter if they're road, rail, air or sea; diesel electric or steam, no matter what type of vehicle you are, your life force is bound to Lady's existence, and thus if you attempt to destroy her, you are basically attempting indirect sucside. My point is Bowler, is that YOU should be ashamed of yourself for falling for such tricks from diesel 10.

(bowler was silent, he didn't say a single word as thomas chuffed back to his previous position. Sir Topham hatt then stood in front of his engines and spoke to them.)

STH: I think I heard everything that I needed to hear. Now then, You lot, if you have any jobs to do around this time, Please get back to work, If not, wait until the conductors give out orders. Now if you'll excuse me, I must get in contact with the other railway.

(Then as the stout gentleman departed, Thomas and the other engines left to do their work, as they did so, Bowler looked down at his buffers, thinking about E2's words, contemplating on his actions.) (Later as Thomas and Lady were resting in yards, The 0-4-0 couldn't stop thinking about diesel 10's plan, and the fact that he had her missing friends. Lady then made a decision as Thomas pushed some trucks into a siding next to her.)

Lady: (looks at thomas) thomas, Please don't get mad, but, I'm thinking about heading to the other railway to rescue our friends.

Thomas: (stops and then backs up) Lady, that's what diesel 10 wants you to do. remember?

Lady: yes I do, but I'm a magical engine, so I can get there pretty much in and out with my powers.

(Thomas was about to say another remark when Lady weeshed some golden sparks out of her cylinders, before zooming away in an instant. The E2 was now worried as he saw the puddle left on the section of track the 0-4-0 was.)

Thomas: I must go find some assistance. Lady is going to get herself killed.

(Thomas then chuffed out of the siding and went to go and find some assistance, unaware that bowler was watching him.)
