Wazzup, wazzup, wazzup guys! I'm back! And wait! Before you lot bring out your pitchforks and torches, let me explain.
Just like what I told to my fans who pm'd me, I was busy with work. God knows how much stress I garnered during the past months. Let me tell you, work from home is not fun. I repeat. Work from home is not fun. Not. One. Bit. I find my workload doubled rather than when I'm in the office.
Then my computer broke down. Fried my hdd and other components due to the water from my custom loop of my water block came loose. My ongoing stories drafts all erased, because of that misfortune.
That's why I haven't posted yet the next chapter of my popular story (to all my loyal readers, you know what I'm talking about) plus two of my story that I already finished working on. Damn it, all I needed was to upload it here and poof, down the toilet.
The good news is that my computer is fixed, job's not hogging all my time, and... no more writer's block. Like seriously, they should label this as a decease. It fucks up your thought process when you want to write.
Anywho, as an apology to you my loyal readers and fans out there, here's a new story that my mind cooked up, and I hope you all like it!
Now enough of my rants. I know you lot miss this. So on with the show!
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Naruto or RWBY series.
Chapter 1
The Arrival
For all the things that could have happened, fighting his best friend, his brother in all but blood, to the death is the last thing on his mind.
Sun kissed blonde hair, tan skin, cerulean blue eyes, and three whisker marks on each cheeks - Naruto Uzumaki was not having a great day.
After sealing that bitch of a rabbit goddess, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, Sasuke Uchiha, his sworn brother, just up and decided that the Kage's needed to be erased. To be killed. As they were the reason why the world was in constant conflict with each elemental country. Stating also that they would be better off without them.
From then on, one thing led to another and the place where they were fighting, the Valley of the End, was on the brink of being erased of its existence from the sheer power and force of the jutsus that was being thrown by the both of them.
In the end, it all comes down to one last confrontation. One last hurrah or the world will forever change.
"Sasuke, don't do this. You have to stop! It won't end the way you think. There's no guarantee that your plan will even work!" Shouted Naruto. Blood dripped from the many wounds he has accumulated.
Sasuke grunted before replying, "It doesn't matter. With the power of the six paths chakra flowing in me, I now have the way to become immortal and watch over the world."
Naruto gritted his teeth before shaking his head and said, "Please, Sasuke. As your friend, your team mate, and your brother, don't do this."
Sasuke remains silent before summoning once more his perfect susanoo and charging up an Indora no Ya. Naruto, on the other hand, entering in his tailed beast mode, charged up his own jutsu, the Rikudō: Chōōdama Rasenshuriken and prepared himself for what seemed to be the final clash between them.
Looking at each other's eyes, Naruto and Sasuke suddenly threw their respective jutsus at each other, the latter following up on a Chidori while trailing his Indora no Ya, while the former on the other hand, charged up his father's signature jutsu, the Rasengan.
The initial jutsus hit at the middle, exploding in a dome of white. The duo, blinded by the light, missed each other by millimeters by each of their respective follow up jutsus.
Sasuke, being the most attentive of them both, noticed a tear in time and space near the both of them. Seeing his chance, Sasuke was about to push his blonde teammate into the abyss when suddenly, a grey rod shot out of nowhere.
Tracing its trajectory, Sasuke didn't even hesitate before using Amenotejikira.
Naruto, for the life of him, couldn't help but widen his eyes in surprise of what his best friend had done.
It was supposed to be him.
Naruto ran to his best friend's side and looked at his injury. It was a Tomogoroshi no Haikotsu or the All-Killing Ash Bones. Looking to his right, Naruto saw Black Zetsu gritting its teeth in frustration from missing its target.
Something snapped within the blonde, and before Black Zetsu knew it, it was disintegrated by the blonde's last remaining Truth-Seeking Orb.
Looking back down at his brother and best friend, Naruto gritted his teeth and asked, "Why?"
Looking up weakly to his blonde teammate, he answered, "I-I don't know. I just d-did w-what I felt was r-right."
Naruto's eyes where getting misty from the unshed tears before saying, "You stupid jackass.." using his sun mark that was granted to him by the Sage of Six Paths to try healing him of his injury, but it was to no avail, "..We can't lose you!"
Smiling tiredly to his friend, Sasuke channeled everything to his Rinnegan before tapping Naruto's forehead with his index and middle finger.
Naruto stiffened before feeling a foreign chakra entering him and melding with his own.
On his left hand, a dark-colored crescent moon appeared.
The satellites that contained the Bijūs suddenly imploded before multiple colored chakras rushed towards sasuke. Channeling it once it made contact with him, Sasuke transferred the tailed-beasts towards Naruto.
Naruto gritted his teeth once more. Pain. Unimaginable pain. His chakra coils lit a flame from taking in all the bijū's chakra into himself. Despite all that, Naruto kept his gaze towards Sasuke with the look of sorrow and trepidation.
Because deep down, Naruto knew.
Sasuke will never make it.
Sasuke will die before his eyes.
And Sasuke… is passing down his legacy to him.
Then he saw it. The Rinnegan and the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan disappeared from Sasuke's eyes. In its place, was his onyx eyes that showed accomplishment, contentment, and above all, acceptance.
Removing his index and middle finger near Naruto's forehead, the latter slump on his shoulders before Sasuke muttered one last time to his best friend, "G-Goodbye… my Brother. And I'm sorry… for everything..."
Naruto was about to reach for him when Sasuke, using his last strength left in him, pushed Naruto using his right hand to the abyss that was slowly closing on his right.
Looking back up towards the skies, Sasuke smiled, muttering his final words before letting death take him, "Itachi… Kaa-San… Otou-san… I'm coming home…"
If he held on just a bit more, he could've seen his pink haired team mate and his sensei rushing towards him to help but it was all too late.
Vale, the largest city on the west-coast of the kingdom of vale. In vale, lies also its premiere huntsman academy in all of the kingdom of vale, Beacon Academy.
And in Beacon academy's highest tower, lies the academy's headmaster office.
Professor Ozpin, Beacon academy's headmaster, is a middle-aged man with tousled silver hair, thin brown eyes, with light complexion and sharp facial features.
He wears shaded glass spectacles, a small, purple, cross-shaped pin on the cowl around his neck, and his outfit mainly consists of an unzipped black suit over a dark green, buttoned vest and green shirt. He also wears black trouser shoes and long, dark-green pants. He also has this cane and his coffee mug that for some reason, always has coffee in it, despite not having it refilled.
Said headmaster was gazing towards his office window, staring at the peaceful scenery that always calms his nerves.
Ozpin turned from the relaxing scenery and was going to do his headmaster duties when he felt a disturbance towards emerald forest.
Turning back again towards his office window, Ozpin saw a black portal appear out of nowhere in the skies above emerald forest. He then spotted a figure that came out of the portal and dropped aimlessly towards the said forest before the portal closed in on itself.
Shifting his gaze towards where the figure landed, Ozpin absentmindedly fished out his scroll and dialed a number on it. Without even checking if the other line was answered, Ozpin suddenly spoke, "Glynda, meet me in emerald forest asap. We have a… visitor." before closing his scroll.
Turning away again from the window, Ozpin retrieved his cane and his ever refilling coffee mug before walking towards his office elevator to go find his guest.
Opening his eyes slowly, Naruto groaned from the sudden light that assaulted his eyes before closing them again. Rubbing his eyes tiredly, Naruto stood up slowly before opening his eyes again and looked at his surroundings to gain his bearings.
The first thing that came to his mind was that he's in a forest. Not the kind he was accustomed to, mind you. Not with the size of the trees he was seeing that is.
Nope. He's definitely not in the land of fire.
Second, is that the feel of nature around him. It feels… corrupted? No, angry? It's along those lines definitely. He can't just process all of it right now.
Thirdly, his partner was uncharacteristically silent.
That's not normal…
'Uhh, Kurama? Are you in there buddy?' Asked Naruto to his silent tenant. He waited for about five minutes and was about to enter his mind-scape when a gruff low voice suddenly spoke, 'Ughh, somebody got the number on the jackass who hit me?'
Naruto let out a sigh of relief before answering, 'Kurama! Thank kami you're alright! I knew you're one tough furry asshole of a fox!'
He could practically see the tick mark that grew from the fox's forehead before answering, 'WHAT DID YOU… say… uhh… Kit? Can you get in here for a bit? You have got to see this.'
Naruto raised one of his blonde eyebrows before shrugging his shoulders. Sitting again on the human size crater he made, Naruto started to meditate. Clearing his mind and relaxing his body to the point he was still as rock. One would've mistaken him to be dead if one was to find him doing this.
Once he entered his mind-scape, Naruto found his partner and tenant, Kurama, the nine-tailed fox. Kurama is a red-orange coloured kitsune with black fur around its red eyes that stretch up to its ears, and nine long swiping tails. It also has an upper-body structure of a human, complete with opposable thumbs on its clawed hands.
Said nine-tailed fox was sitting on his haunches and its back facing him like he was looking at something.
Moving towards where his partner was looking at, Naruto started, "So, what's the reason you want me to be here, Kurama?"
The fox didn't answer but beckoned him to move to his side.
Naruto shook his head and was about to call out on him when the sight in front of him took his breath away.
scattered in his mind-scape were the other tailed beasts. Sleeping soundly and was practically out of it.
"What. The actual. Fuck?" Asked Naruto in disbelief.
"Your guess is as good as mine, kit." Answered Kurama. Before looking at his jailor and asked, "What the hell happened to your battle with that egotistical uchiha, Naruto?"
Naruto scratched his head before answering, "The last thing I remembered was fighting Sasuke at the Valley of the End after we sealed Kaguya-teme. We tossed our powerful jutsus left and right before… No…"
Kurama raised one of his eyebrows - if he had any that is - before his jaws dropped to the floor in surprise.
Staring at Kurama was Naruto. But the Naruto that was staring at Kurama has an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and a Rinne-Sharingan on his eyes.
It was supposed to be cerulean blue!
Naruto was trembling. The memories rushed at his mind like a freight train.
Sasuke's stabbed on the stomach by an All-Killing Ash Bone.
Killing Black Zetsu.
Transfering of the bijūs.
The Abyss.
Looking at his left hand, Naruto saw the crescent moon mark. His gaze shifted to the sewer water that he was standing on and saw his eyes. Sasuke's eyes.
"NO!" Shouted Naruto, before dropping to his knees and punching the ground in frustration.
"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!"
Kurama was silent. He saw the memories. The sacrifice that the uchiha had made for his jailor. The last will he imparted to him. He saw it all.
"Naruto… I'm sorry." It's all Kurama could say.
Minutes flew by and the blonde calmed down from his grief. Looking at his partner, Naruto asked, "Where are we?"
Forgoing his smart ass quips, Kurama extended his senses from their surroundings before answering, "I don't know, Kit. We're not in the elemental nations that's for sure."
The blonde was silent again and was staring again at his reflection. A minute after, he asked again his partner, "Why?"
Knowing full well what he meant, Kurama answered, "Twisted he may be in the end, he wanted peace. For our world. For him. And especially, for you."
Looking up again at his partner, Naruto answered by asking, "For me?"
Letting out a calming breath, Kurama answered honestly and truthfully, "You both brought peace and stability in the elemental nations. With Kaguya sealed, Black Zetsu dead, and Asura and Indra's reincarnation cycle broken, the elemental nations will prosper in everlasting peace. Assuming your people don't fuck it up. As for this place, believe it or not, this was his gift to you… well, in my opinion that is. It's a one way trip mind you, but this will be your second chance in life. Away from the pain, the scrutiny, from everything for being the Jinchūriki of the nine-tailed fox." Looking at his brother and sisters, Kurama continued, "He transferred my brothers and sisters into you so that they wouldn't be able to weaponize them anymore. To be free. You have the power now to release them, now that you inherit now both the power of the sage of six paths and his brother. It all comes down if they want to part with you or not."
Naruto was overwhelmed. After all these years, the Sasuke he knew since his early years in the academy was still there all this time. If only he didn't sacrifice himself to save him…
Kurama was about to call his partner's attention after Naruto spaced out a bit when the former suddenly stiffened before growling threateningly, "Naruto, we have company. And not the welcoming type of sorts."
Naruto stiffened at Kurama's warning before narrowing his eyes. Nodding to his friend, Naruto willed himself back to reality before slowly opening his eyes to see who his partner was talking about.
Upon seeing the first thing that his eyes locked onto was that it was not a who.
But a what.
It was large. Larger than its kin that he was sensing all around him. It was twice the size, twice the height, twice the power, if the more visible bone structure he could see from it. The bones on the thing were much longer, more thicker than its smaller counterpart.
The one that got his attention was their bone-like masks on their head.
And animals don't wear masks.
Let alone Bone Masks.
And then we have the chonky ones. The bear-like creatures. They appear much like the wolf-like creature, with black fur and bony spikes on their backs and arms, as well as white, bone-like masks with red detailing, but are much larger and stockier.
Raising one of his blonde eyebrows, Naruto inwardly asked his partner, 'Uhhh are you seeing what i'm seeing, Kurama?'
Kurama also raised one of his non-existent eyebrows and answered, '...Yes. What the hell did we get ourselves into?'
Naruto was about to answer when one of the smaller kin of the large wolf creature suddenly pounced on him. Seeing the attack from a mile away, Naruto turned to the wolf creature that pounced on him and saw that the creature moved in slow motion. Like really, really, in slow motion.
'Huh, so this is what Sasuke sees when he activates his eyes.' Thought Naruto before sidestepping to his right, letting the creature pass him before grabbing the neck of the said creature by his left hand.
Gripping tightly, Naruto was about to crush the neck of the creature when two more charged at him.
Looking to his left, Naruto threw the creature that was on his left hand to the attacking wolf creature to his right before using his right hand to punch the face of the leaping wolf creature.
Evidently, Naruto misjudges his strength a tad bit much, resulting in the head of the wolf creature to explode in a violent manner.
Looking at the headless body of the wolf creature, Naruto raised one of his blonde eyebrows once more before looking at his clenched fist then back again at the headless body. He then noticed the body slowly withered away into winds in black wisp of smoke.
'Well now, that's interesting?' Thought Naruto to himself before looking at the remaining creatures that's surrounding him.
Closing his eyes, Naruto willed his chakra to the surface, causing a mini earthquake around him and cracking the very ground he stood. Opening his eyes, Naruto then proceeded to decimate the creatures all around him.
Dodging to his left, Naruto roundhouse kicked the offending wolf creature before landing a haymaker to a bear creature to his right, launching both creatures with so much force that the trees that the bodies hit cracked and splintered upon impact. Ducking from a wild swipe from another bear creature, Naruto jabbed both the knees of the creature, breaking it, before standing up to catch the neck of the creature and crush it with his bare hands.
Backflipping from his position, Naruto drew two kunais from his thigh holster before turning it on his hand to hold it in a reverse grip. Coating it with wind chakra, Naruto proceeded to eviscerate the animal creatures.
After a full minute, and a horde of grimm slowly withering away, Naruto and the large wolf-like creature were the only ones standing on the forest floor.
Naruto beckoned the large creature in a come at me gesture before the large creature let out a howl before pouncing on its prey.
The former met the latter in the middle, sliding between its legs before lodging the two kunais on its knees, before using it as a kind of springboard to launch himself on its shoulder. Landing on the said shoulder of the wolf creature, Naruto used his chakra to stick on its shoulder before raising his right arm up in the air and formed his father's signature jutsu, the Rasengan.
Looking at the creature eye to eye, Naruto shoved the formed Rasengan on the creature's face but not before saying, "Eat this, Rasengan!"
The large wolf-like creature stood no chance. The Rasengan tore to its bone-like mask like it was paper, grinding the bone mask, then the skin, the muscle, then the creature's skull and its brain, turning it to mush.
Backflipping on its shoulder, Naruto landed on the soles of his feet before the headless creature just tilt on its own and crashed on the ground, dead.
Naruto relaxed his tensed muscles before glancing backwards towards one of the still standing trees around him before saying, "I know you're there. Might as well come out now."
With his declaration, a middle-aged man with tousled silver hair, thin brown eyes, with light complexion and sharp facial features came out one of the trees he was looking at, along with a middle-aged woman that has very light-blonde hair tied back in a bun with a curl hanging down the right side of her face. Her eyes are bright green and she wears thin ovular glasses. She has dangling teal earrings that match the hanging pendant on her collar. The woman wears a white long-sleeved, pleated top that has a wide keyhole neckline and gauntlet cuffs that flare in pleats at the wrist. Her lower body is covered by a black high-waisted pencil skirt with bronze buttons and black-brown stockings.
All in all, she painted one fine woman if he could say so himself.
Turning towards the duo that was walking towards him, Naruto asked, "I reckoned you both saw what happened?"
The middle-aged man smiled at him while his companion still maintained her cold indifference. Stopping just a few feet away from him, the former of the two answered, "Why yes, young man. Not many can do what you did at your age. Especially killing an alpha beowolf that fast," Looking at the devastation around him, the man added, "And wiping out its kin to the last without breaking a sweat." Looking back at him, he asked, "You're not from around here, are you?"
Naruto knew it was a stupid question. Rather, it was just a formality. To sate one's curiosity and confirm one's intention, depending on the person who is asking.
And right now? This man screams dangerous…
But not to him.
Naruto narrowed his eyes for a second before his face morphed into a sheepish look and answered, "I don't know my own strength?"
The middle-aged man chuckled while the blonde woman narrowed her eyes.
The both of them didn't know this yet, but Remnant was gifted the last piece of the game that they are playing, the game changer that will finally end the endless cycle of death, pain, and loss caused by the grimm. And the to answer to the everlasting peace the kingdom yearns for.
In the end, the enemy wouldn't know what hit them.
-end-
