A few days passed since the day I found out from Killian that the dark one was back alive, we were on edge a bit. I had to make sure that I kept my spells going with protecting my sons and myself. Killian didn't care either way but turns out the prior night there was a witch fight. I hadn't wanted to go out last night so I missed seeing it. Still, there was more to come with this as we figured out that Zelena had something to do with it. This morning I got the boys ready for school and when Killian joined us I went to kiss him like I would any other morning but he avoided me.
what the..did he just avoid me? I thought
I knew that there was a reason behind it but I took the boys to school without another thought about it. Had I thought about it more I would have realized Zelena was the cause of the problem, she was after my powers that I had trained myself. I wasn't as strong as Emma but I was still a threat to her with being a good magic-user. Killian would normally come with us when I took the boys to school but I couldn't shake the way things are. Liam and Devin hugged me as they went on to school and I smiled before heading back home. I got a call from Regina and I headed to Regina's place to help out since I was essentially needed. When I walked in I saw Killian leaning back in a chair with a green apple.
"Watch out for the apples here." I said
We walked to the table seeing that it was not going to be as easy as I thought. At the table was Emma, Regina, Snow, David, and Killian along with myself as we took seats there. I took a deep breath having a good idea on what I was going to be facing. I knew there was gonna some kind of consequence for killing cora besides the small darkness in my heart.
"Amira, please tell your sister we're not going to name our son Leopold." David said
"And what's wrong with that? Leopold is my sons middle name." I said
"Yes David, why not? It was my father's name." Snow said
"People will make fun of him." David said
"Our father was a king." Snow and I said
I merely listened to them while noticing Killian was scratching his head a bit listening to them going back and forth. He knew I had been persistent in the names as well as both my mother and father. I'd met him halfway with using his brother's name for our son's first name. My father's name was his middle name and he took the Jones name out of my choice to give it to him. Regina soon came in the room with us breaking it up.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. I was making this special tea." Regina said as she started pouring the tea. David went to take a glass and drink but Regina was quick to react. "No! Don't...Drink it. It's a deadly poison for summoning the dark vortex." Regina said as she continued pouring into the cups. "I prefer earl Grey." David said calmly now knowing what it was.
I could only imagine what this was going to be as I sat there listening to Regina explaining that Zelena came by to visit her while they were talking. The Dark one had got to her heart but now they needed to fill in the missing pieces. The people who she chose to have here were ones she trusted to summon her mother. I about wanted to jump up and scream no way but I didn't.
"It's a fairly simple ritual but not often performed." Regina said looking at Emma then at the candle in the middle of the table. "If it's easy to talk to the dead, why not do it more?" Emma asked and Regina was more than willing to answer "Well, because to do it, you need the murder weapon and..the murderer or in this case murderers." Regina said looking between me and Snow. I heard Snow gasp but I merely kept my calm.
When it started Regina lit a match as she used it to light the candle sides which I knew too well that all this that the candle no longer had magic. As we all joined hands we focused on Cora to see if she would even show up. Suddenly the vortex opened and we all looked up to say that I wasn't scared well sort of I actually was. Still Regina tried to get her to come out and speak with her but nothing came. The connection held until Killian bumped the table with his knee causing the connection to be disconnected. I walked out with everyone and calmed my nerves as Killian put a hand on my arm, he knew about my involvement in Cora's death and he still chose to stand by me.
"Let go Killian." I said
"Luv, don't be.." but I cut him off "I don't know what you're hiding but it's not what I can deal with right now. You can't even tell me." I said as I headed out of the place.
I wish I'd been more aware of what was going on the magic that was in Regina's house but I was still just upset about Killian being so strange. I hated to know that this was going to be the cause of what was going on. Killian caught up to me grabbing my arm but I still refused to look at him. Seeing how I was avoiding looking at him he made he look at him.
"Stop it Amira!" Killian said
"then why?" I asked, tears in my eyes "Why are you acting so strange today?"
"I'm cursed. Neal is too." Killian said
"Cursed? True loves kiss breaks curses." I said
"Not this one. This one takes magic away, it'll take your magic and your nieces magic!" Killian said
My heart stopped knowing I could lose my magic so easily and yet I didn't care about it as much as I used to. Before me was the man I loved. I would give my life for him and take my place by his side for his revenge against the man who killed that Mila he loved once. When I got a call to come back I rushed back to Regina's only to see my sister in a weak state in a chair. I listened as snow explained what she saw and I was shocked just hearing all of this.
"We have to stop her. Amira, Snow, Emma, Henry, Regina, and my boy Liam are all at stake here!" Killian said a bit outraged then he looked at me "this, this is part of why I can't do what she asked."
I just looked at him and nod in understanding.
