"Good Morning Commander" Catherine whispered as she was laying on her side in the bed, eyes wide open, looking at Steve.

He was laying on his stomach, arms crossed under his pillow and face turned in her direction, eyes still closed.

"Mhhhhh" he mumbled with eyes still closed, turning his head the other direction. "Hey" she pouted, pushing him "Come on! Today is gonna be so exciting!" she exclaimed.

Steve turned and with one quick motion mentioned to lay on his back and pull her on top of him, pecking her lips "Good morning Lieutenant" he smiled "What's today?" he asked, acting serious.

"What? You don't remember?" her expression on her face immediately changing to disappointment. "What, Cath?" "The appointment, Steve."

When he gave her a confused look, underlining that he had no clue what she was talking about, Catherines disappointment slowly turned in to anger "... for the baby..." she mumbled as she tried to get up and out of the bed from on top of him when he held her tighter.

"Wait...you're pregnant?" he exclaimed playfully with a mocked look. "very funny" she replied sarcastically as she rolled her eyes at him.

"I've been excited for this appointment ever since we found out two weeks ago, Cath. I wouldn't miss it for the world." he answered sincerely, as she kissed her forehead before she got up.

"I wonder how far along we are so we'll know when we can actually tell people" she continued as she got clothes from out of the dresser. "So uhm... about that..." he started while still laying in bed, head now propped up against the headboard of the bed. Catherine rolled his eyes at him in disbelief "You did NOT tell Danny, Steve!" when he didn't answer but rather shrugged at her comment Catherine felt her patience go out the window "are you KIDDING me right now? We agreed not to tell anyone and you go around telling people? Who else did you tell, huh? Lou? Junior? Kamekona? 'Cause if Danny knows I'm guessing Rachel, Grace and Charlie know and we all know..." "Relax Cath" Steve interrupted her ramble with both hands up in the air would you calm down? It's just Danny" Steve tried to explain with a calm voice, but Catherine was not having any of it.

Catherine scuffed at his comment "It's not about who you told, it's about you not considering my feelings in this once again!" she hissed at him, about to leave the bed room.

Steve got up from out of the bed, anger building up in him now as well. "Again?" he repeated in disbelief, giving her a look that silently told her to either let it all out know or apologize, there was no backing out of it now.

"You heard me" she mumbled as she slammed the door behind her and went downstairs. Steve quickly followed her in to the kitchen, "So we're slamming doors now?" he asked, pissed off at the fact that she just left the conversation like that.

Catherine stood at the counter in the kitchen, her back facing Steve. "If you've got something to say to me Catherine, you better do it nor or…" "or what?" she yelled back at him as she turned around to face him. "What, Steve? Hm?"

Steve was irritated by her reply and her sudden outburst of anger. They had their fair share of fights before but Catherine was not one to yell at him at like that.

"Hey" he said in a soothing voice, making his way over to her, opening his arms to hold her tight.

Catherine immediately pushed him away, not ready to let this one go just yet. "Let me go, Steve!" she hissed as she walked around him to flee the scene.

"Are you serious?" he yelled back at her as she tried to open the door that led to the lanai "That's great, Cath. Leave then – leave like you always do!"

Steve regretted the words as soon as they left his lips. Catherine immediately turned around and shot him a look that let him know that he had just gone too far. Anger and disappointment, as well as frustration were never a good combination in a pregnant woman, or any woman at all, for that matter.

Catherine could feel her eyes dwelling up and tears flowing down her cheeks now "Like you're one to talk" she hissed at him, now making her way back to where he was standing.

"What's gonna happen when you go back to work, mh?" she felt the anger now bubbling up inside her "It's gonna be me – it's gonna be and this baby, in this house with nothing to do and no one around! It's gonna go back to me praying that your phone won't ring while we're trying to have a nice evening, or it ringing at all. I am TERRIFIED, Steve. I am scared like hell that I'm gonna have to do this alone and I know you… you can't walk away from a case. You're gonna be out there… in the field… and don't even try to deny it! I'm not gonna see you for days in a row and I'm gonna be here… worried sickto my stomach that the father of my child might not make it back today."

She was now sobbing in tears, unsure if she was still angry at him or just scared.

She inhaled for four seconds, then exhaled four seconds "this is different, Steve. There is a freaking baby growing inside of me. Things have just… Thing have changed, I guess" she whispered.

"It's not just you and me anymore. We can't just up and leave and go on covert ops when we feel like it. And I'm scared... This scares the shit out of me, Sailor." she continued with a smile, "and I want this. I want this so much, Steve. I just…" she let out a sigh "I'm just very hormonal" she laughed

"I didn't want people to know that I'm…that we're… pregnant yet before we've seen the doctor. And the more people that know, the more people we have to tell if things…uhm… don't work out" she explained, her eyes now softening as she reached one hand out to hold his.

"Are you done?" he asked with a smirk. When she nodded and returned his smile, he pulled her in to a tight hug "come here".

"I'm scared too" he admitted "but we will be fine, Cath. This is gonna be the best op ever" he chuckled "and the longest" she chuckled.

"Sorry for freaking out at you. I don't really know what to do with all these emotions" she mumbled in to his chest as she buried her face closer in to his strong arms.

"I can't even imagine all the changes your body is going through… you're entitled to all the emotional outbreaks you want" he laughed "and I don't want you to feel alone, Cath. Ever. We're gonna sort this whole 5-0 thing out and we're gonna find a way to make this work, I promise. You're not going to do this by yourself. I'm not going anywhere." He said sincerely as she pulled back a bit to lock her eyes in to his "I'm not going anywhere either, Sailor." She promised, her words implicating so much more than her not going back to work.

Steve knew it and Catherine knew it. "I love you" she said before she closed the gap between them "I love you more" he smiled and kissed her deeply, showing her just how much he wants her to stay.

Author's note:

This one took quite a while, sorry guys! I thought it was time for a little fight ;-)

As you may have notices over the past couple chapters, I like alllllllll the sappy stuff and love seeing their sentimental / lovey side as we did not get to see much of it during the show.

Doctor's appointment coming up next!
