She rises.
The red angel of old. She shimmers back into existence, shrugging off the pains of war. She basks in the light of the unfamiliar sun as she draws alongside one of her lessers. And yet a sister all the same. Both of them are capable of life and yet both could not be so different.
The younger stares, in awe and in fear. For standing before her is one of the old Guardians. One of a handful of worlds born at the very beginning. Her people are Lords but she is a Goddess, the goddess of time itself. And so the younger kneels, her blue gaze cast down as the golden eyes sweep across her frame.
"Sister..." Terra embraces the other's touch, her weaker mind being enveloped within the stronger song of her.
The two join, forging a new chorus that rings out across the galaxies. It was an announcement, a joyous reunion. And as quickly as it came the chorus changed its tone, for something dark had come with the elder upon her return. Terra could feel its presence as it spread like a poison across the cosmos, dampening their joyous song. The Goddess had returned but she brought her war with her, for the two could never be separated.
Terra turned to her, her gaze pleading. There had to be some way, anyway... She simply stared back, golden eyes dull with an expression that was resigned to her fate. "No... please, no. Not again."
She's falling.
The caysm opens beneath her and draws her in. "Back into hell." She whispers.
Terra reaches for her, in desperation to them both here. But it is not to be. And Gallifrey rebuffs her attempts, Knowing what must be done.
And for Terra this is unbearable. "I lost you once."
"Forgive me."
She falls and Terra screams. For although all has been made right again, the lock has sealed shut and she is alone. But not nearly as alone as her fallen sister, who exists inside a sealed bubble of time and space, trapped in the zenith of war.
