Hi again. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Been pretty busy and a lot has happened. Anyway since I'm gonna start writing more for other fanfictions while remaining MLB based I'm looking to find some new more genetic usernames since mine only really works for Ladybug and Chat Noir. The fanfics I'm gonna be writing are : more The Deep, Zombies, Descendants. Young Justice and really whatever else interests me although those are the main ones for now. Any ideas? So far I'm stuck on MagicAuthor but wasn't really a fan of that to much. Thanks, enjoy. :)
I looked over the digital blue prints and list again, making sure I hadn't forgotten anything.
1 - find Finn's diary
2 - slip it into Mad Madeline's room- after reading it of course
3 - wait for Maddie to spill to Hammerhead or someone
4 - while Finn's embarrassed slip a fish or something in his bed
5 - find out what pirate gear is?
I looked over the blue prints I had downloaded and checked where Finn's room was. 1 condor left and 2 rooms down, easy enough. Did I really want to do this? My brain questioned. Yes, yes I did. Plus "I'm a pirate" now, can they really get mad at me for being troublesome? I locked everything down and slipped out of my closet room.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S THE NEWEST PIRATE, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!" Madeline screamed from somewhere farther off. I chuckled, thinking of the look on her face- her worst enemy now teammate HA!
I turned left and ducked into the second room. It was only slightly bigger that mine but that could hardly be told since every surface was covered in random stuff. I stepped over a pile of waterproof blankets that were huddled on the floor. I dug through the cubby holes finding nothing, this was gonna be a lot harder then I thought. The hanging crate and chest on the floor were also product less. I growled and kicked the pile of blankets on the floor and was surprised when a small pink notebook spiraled out of the lump. I picked it up before dashing back to my room. I slammed the door behind me and sat on the edge of my bed. My fingers opened the notebook and I started reading the first page of badly written words.
i not undrestad y i hav 2 work at store y dad no take me with him. store bore what dad do. y techer make i writ this. y book pik. done :( (Yes this is fiscally painful to write)
I silenced my laughter not wanting to cause suspicions and flipped through the next few pages which were practically the same, whines of working at the store, complains of dad disappearing, getting teased about the pink book, and hatred for school. The 8th page was blank and the following was written a bit better.
Writter: Finn
Date: Don't know- it's fall and I'm 8
Today's entry: Teacher said we have start writting in this book again, why? Do not know what to write.
Teacher said write what happpenned since I last wrough- wrot- wrote. Ok. Mom left after finding that dad was pirate. Maddy is 2 and anoying. Dad says next year I get to be come pirate, I am excited. done.
I chuckled at how much times had changed, little I want to join dad as a pirate now hated it.
I have to write a pargraf, why. School dose no help pirates. I refuse to write more, no, done.
Once again the next section of pages were the same and I flipped through them, only slightly scanning them. The journal was clearly broken into sections and just by reading a page or 2 you could find out everything the chapter concluded.
Writer: Me Finn- again. Before you ask I don't know the date, it's hard to tell on a submarine but I had my 13th birthday a month or so ago.
Why am I writing? Well I found this old book in a trunk and I have nothing better to do. So times have changed, Maddie is now aboard the sub (she joined when she was 5) she is still really annoying. I no longer like pirating as much, it's getting really boring and doesn't feel right but I want to keep dad happy so I continue. I miss school and my few old friends but that an't coming back. Dad or captain as he is now having me call him is raging on about these "neck tons" that are supposedly his worst enemy so in other words they are normal people. I don't know if I'll keep this book or trash it I just need something to do while dad rages on about these "neck tons" so I told him I was writing in a captain's log but well a crew mate's log. He's now raging to Maddie who's also smashing stuff with him. Well Danny Boy's calling for more duck tape, guess that's something else to do.
I kept reading after checking that no one was in the hallway after footsteps approached. I honestly had no idea how to react at this point, it was funny yet slightly sad- maybe harsh but weird and other wise just down right funny. I flipped to the next page which was once again blank and the next one was set 2 years later.
Finn, 15
Bored- again. Know who the Nektons are now. Just foiled one of dad's - caption's plans. 4 of them, and a fish. The boy's annoying, think his name is Ant. The girl is also annoying but not as bad, she didn't toss me of the dock or over the edge of the boat and what not- well she kind of did but not as much as the boy. Yes if you are wondering diary- I AM in a foul mood. The parents unknown although probably worse than the kids. And by worse I mean better since dad hates them. I don't know what to think other than that fish was judging me- like how can a fish judge- seriously. Danny Boy yet again needs duck tape, done.
I remembered that day, the first day we met the Hammerhead crew on the floating black market- the first day Jeffery had to go in his Jorgange. I flipped to the next page surprised to find it filled with words.
Finn still 15
Nother run in with the Nektons. Dad tricked them into rescuing a toy boat then captured them but they're the Nektons. In other words it didn't go as planed. Ant, I found out that is his name, started spilling about something but when he refused to say more after he was cut off he and his sister Fountain
Fountain? I'm a Fountain? I was seriously confused.
or however you spell her name
Well that explained it, I guess.
were looked in a storage room. Oh course he had to escape through the ducts though so I helped Maddie into them and well that didn't go to well- shut of the engines of all things. Then Fountain
Still wrong.
escaped me and ended up getting off the ship in one of our diving suits- for goodness sake she should just take my job as a pirate. Honestly Fountain is the real pirate. Ugh too annoyed at Captain's ranting too continue, all and all it went horribly. So done.
Was that where Hammerhead got the idea from? That was ages ago, unless there was something newer. As I flipped the page and my eyes spotted something about giant clams and Fountains (most likely me) Maddie thundered down the hallway huffing something like that wasn't what was supposed to happen. I dropped the book and kicked into the corner. Luckily she didn't come in and just thundered past. Not wanting to waste more time I grabbed the book and opened it to Finn saying he didn't like being a pirate and raced out the door to Maddie's room which I had also pinpointed. I flung the door open after making sure she wasn't in and slipped the book face down under a blanket on the floor. I dashed out as she approached and listened as she stormed in.
"Why is she a pirate, that wasn't supposed to happen. That was NOT the plan," Maddie screamed. I was confused wondering what plan she was talking about but let it slip my mind as she let out a cry of delight and the rustle of pages was heard. "Oh what's this? Finn doesn't want to be a pirate? I think Hammerhead would like to know, then I'll be the favorite," She cackled before dashing out of the room.
I grinned before slipping out of my hiding spot back towards my room but stopped at the kitchen first. I looked inside to see a pirate cutting something but since he was facing the opposite direction I decided it was safe enough to enter. The door creaked and I ducked but when he didn't turn around I continued in. I hid behind a wooden counter and searched the kitchen for something gross. Jam-nope, Broccoli-tastes gross but nope, Bread-nope, raw fish-Yes! I stayed low to the floor as I snuck to the opposite side of room. I grabbed the plastic tray that held the fish and sneaked back out without being noticed. I casually walked back to Finn's room, well as casually as you can with a platter of raw fish. Once again I made sure no one was in and I dumped the fish in his bed and dumped the tray down the garbage chute feeling bad that it lead to the ocean but honestly I didn't have a choice this time unless I wanted to get caught red er fish handed. I washed my hands before walking back to my room as Hammerhead, Maddie and Finn argued. I grinned everything falling into place, Ant wasn't the only sneaky one.
Don't know what to put here, this is a line break thingy though. Time skip I guess since I'm not changing POV, what ever you get the point. I don't know if anyone is even reading this at this point.
Dinner was odd. The entire crew sat around one way too small table as we at flavorless kelp salad and burnt something (I think fish but seriously unrecognizable). I felt awkward and I could tell that almost everyone was staring at me ever confused or (mainly) suspicious, the hardest glare though was coming from Mad Madeline- it was obvious that she was trying to burn holes in me with her eyes unfortunately (for her) she wasn't Superman and didn't have laser vision. I quickly excused myself and I could hear the crew gossiping as I left. I tried not to let it bother me, I was- am a Nekton, I don't even want to be a pirate- right?
I flopped down onto my bed, trying to ignore the spring that poked through a hole and the fact that it was damp and smelt like sea water. I understood why there was drains in the floor now. I glanced at a family picture on my communicator before I heard footsteps coming towards my room and the door slammed open. I shoved my bag to the side forgetting I was holding the comm in my hand.
" 'ay wha' be ye doin' wit' that?" Hammerhead thundered as he stood in the doorway.
"Ahh this!?" I panicked. "Finn must of though you meant put it in my ro-cabin so he left it on the bed, didn't know what to do with it." Startled I shut off the communicator before flinging it at him, thankful I had brought back-ups. Hammerhead caught it with ease and tucked it in his pocket most likely to be thrown out later.
"I ye make a good pirate, now tomorrow we get ye all decked out wit' pirate gear," Hammerhead smiled (Hun?) as he left. I lay down again and went to sleep confused.
Once again don't know what to put here, so ya. Don't know if anyone bothered to read this. So line break thingy to the next morning. In a minute I have to pause writing this to do the dishes which is annoying. Whatever I think you get the point, if anyone bothered to read this can you help me come up with a better line break thingy, cause for MLB I just use well MLB multiple times but no idea for this, maybe just The Deep multiple times? IDK
"WHO PUT A RAW FISH IN MY BED!?" I woke up to screaming. I laughed at the shouts but wondered why Finn wasn't yelling the night before. "SOMEONE FESS UP, I JUST SLEPT WITH A DEAD FISH ALL NIGHT, WHO DID IT!?" Well that explained it.
"STOP SHOUTING I'M TRYING TO SLEEP," Someone else yelled back. As screaming voices yelled back and forth I covered my ears and tried to fall back asleep since I had a restless first night.
"GET UP ALREADY BEFORE YOU MISS BREAKFAST!" Hammerhead shouted as he pasted through the hallways, I was too tired to wonder why he was accent-less. I pulled on a pair of jeans and a green T-shirt before slouching out of my room. I sat down at the table and displeasedly stared at the multiple boxes of fish flakes cereal. Really all they had was crumbled up fish jerky.
"How about I make pancakes," I offered tiredly, not fully thinking it through.
"Pancakes?" Suddenly everyone's eyes were on me.
"Ya, a flat circle of doughy delish," I explained sleepily.
"You know how to make pancakes?" Hammerhead questioned.
"Yes?" I was seriously confused now and way too tired to figure it out.
"TO THE KITCHEN!" Everyone (even Mad Madeline) cheered. I was pushed into the kitchen and a fish print apron was thrown around my neck. I was placed in front of a stove and all of the pirates stood in behind the stove with happy grins plastered on their faces. I waited and they didn't barely moved other than the occasional excited bonce or restless twitch like an inpatient 3 year old.
"Umm."
"Do the magic, do the magic,"
"I'm sorry what?"
"PANCAKES!"
"Ok, ok, where's the flour." Now not only was I seriously confused but also making pancakes apparently. The pirate flew around the kitchen bringing me ingredients, which they surprisingly had large quantity's of although they could only cook fish from the looks of it. I made 5 batches of mix, not knowing how many they would eat. (BTW: In this the Pirate crew is much bigger than the show, shows). I started frying, having 3 pans on at a time and a soon as a pancake was done it was flipped onto a plat and passed down the line with a smear of jam. I flipped as fast as I could but as soon as one was done it was eaten and was hard to keep up with them coming back for seconds. Even Madeline who hated me got 3rd cake. Finally everyone was full and I got to eat the last 2 pancakes.
"Good job Girly, ye make an excellent pirate- now t' th' floatin' black market!" Hammerhead congratulated me, his accent mysteriously back. I walked to my room to grab a sweater but multiple pirates stopped me in the halls asking if I would make pancakes again or what else I could cook. Maybe blending in was gonna be easier than I thought, who knew the key was food- specifically pancakes of all things. I grabbed my sweater just as the ship lurged, knocking me and my stuff over, I understood why no one bothered picking up their things around here now. I raced to the air exit as the sub bobbled to the surface.
Hopping up to the black market I was glad I had grabbed a sweater as a chilly wind swept over the harsh waves that crashed ageist the support beams that raised the stalls. The sky was cloudy but fortontly no ran fell, at least not for now. I pulled the sweater tighter and held onto a wooden pole so I wouldn't topple over. I steadied myself and walked along the wobbly dock after Hammerhead and a few members of the crew who all walked with ease. Hammerhead sent a crew member off with an order for those blue powder packets that Maddie had fired at me a few days ago. The next 2 pirates was sent off for pancake ingredients while the final few went grocery shopping leaving just me, Hammerhead and Madeline? Where did she come from?
"Come along Girly, Madeline's 'n me are gonna get ye fit fer th' pirate's life," Hammerhead smiled while Madeline looked like an excited 5 year old as she tugged on my hand. I still had no clue what was happening so I let her lead me into a black and purple tent. I looked around once my eyes adjusted to the harsh lantern light surprised to find the tent filled with clothes. Madeline dropped my hand and raced through the racks holding up outfit pieces to herself in front of a cracked mirror.
"Dad, I wants this one," Madeline whined, holding up a black shirt with mermaid on it, upon closer inspection I noticed the mermaid had a hook and eye patch.
"We be gettin' gear fer Feared Fontaine, no ye now find somethin' else," Hammerhead commanded. Mad Maddie huffed but tossed the shirt onto a bench before diving back into the racks of clothing. "Well?" Hammerhead gestured to me and I followed Maddie.
Kaiko's POV
I grinned when the weekly call from Fontaine and Hammerhead rang. Hammerhead had promised but I didn't know if he would actually keep that promise, so here I was waiting intensely with Ant and Will 7 days after Fontaine had left. We had plant the first few treasures and were on course to the next but I couldn't stop worrying about Fontaine. We had gotten the bag of maps and everything seamed to be going right yet something was telling me that something was wrong so when the call came I imendently hit open. The screen blurred for a moment before Hammerhead appeared- eye to the camera.
"Danny Boy, be this thin' workin'?" He asked to someone off screen I heard a muffled reply before Hammerhead pulled back letting me see Fontaine. My mouth dropped open and I froze breathless. Fontaine wore a black shirt with 3 red tentacles swirling up from the waist, the neck line and short sleeves had been trimmed with the same red. She wore matching red pants with a black fish scale pattern and the bottoms were rolled up above dark purple boots. The boots were draped in black and gold chains with matching locks. The outfit was accessorized with a dark purple belt with a golden buckle. Finally she had a bracelet, choker, earrings, and hair clip with a dark purple and black skull and bones. The hair clip held a strand of black hair with multiple dark pink streaks back and the cut looked like it had been done with a hacksaw with the way it was all different lengths.
"So Fontaine-"
"Feared Fontaine!" Hammerhead interrupted.
"So Feared Fontaine how are you?" I asked.
"Good," She answered bored.
"Ahem," Hammerhead coughed.
"I mean none of your buisness meddling Nektons," she replied again with an eye roll directed at Hammerhead who was smiling proudly. "Hammerhead, Danny Boy if you hurry up there might be some pancakes left," She said to the pirates who's faces lit up before running out of the room. As soon as they were gone the bored look fell of her face.
"Fontaine, Pancakes?" I asked.
"What they love my pancakes for some reason. Anyway I've missed you guys so much, how are you?" She responded sounding more like herself.
"Good, but worried for you," I answered.
"Hungry- did you have to bring up pancakes," Ant whinnied not wanting to let her know how panicked he'd been.
"Good although we miss your help and company," Will finished.
"Ok so are the treasures ready?" Fontaine asked after checking that no one was around.
"Yep they're all set," Ant grinned.
"He means a few of them, maps 1, 3, 7 and 8," Will corrected.
"Got it, thanks," Fontaine answered and I could tell that she was mentally noting down which maps were safe to go for.
"So, your new look?" I questioned.
"Hammerhead and Maddie," Fontaine replied. "I choose the shirt though, it reminded me of our family symbol," She explained. I nodded not knowing what else to say.
"HOW DARE HE TAKE THE LAST PANCAKE, AND EVEN HAD THE NERVE TO DO IT IN FRONT OF MY FACE, MEDDLING NEKTONS, FINN TOMORROW ISLAND!" Hammerhead shouted before cutting off the video message.
"What?" Will gasped not knowing what just happened.
"Looks like we're taking Finn in for eating the last pancake apparently," I replied stunned.
"Did we just trade teens?" Ant asked.
"I think so," I finished. I turned the Aronnax around and headed back to the island where we had dropped Fontaine off. Did we really have a choice? Hopefully Finn would help us find our friends.
