"KEI! I'M HOME!"
The two teens turned and saw the mother frozen on the living room door, in shock.
"Shit."
Hinata blushed as she all but flew away from the blond teen. Arms raised she tried to defend herself, "I-It's not what it looks like!"
"Hello mother." Tsukishima said, face carefully set neutrally. "How was work today."
Mrs. Tsukishima, still in shock, answered, "Work was good today."
Nodding the blond teen got up and began to walk away. "I see, that's good. Well I'll be going to my room now, I'll see you in the later."
Hinata watched in disbelief as he left her all alone with his mother, 'The bastard!'
"U-Um..." Hinata rubbed her hands together. "I-I can explain what happened."
"Please do." Mrs. Tsukishima said, a small smile on her face.
"Would you like some tea?" Hinata asked, walking to the kitchen. "I was about to make some."
"Tea sound nice." She answered, sitting on the chair, watching the ginger move around the kitchen.
Yachi
Yachi was scrolling on Hinata's laptop, looking for job offers, only to see most of them were already filled up. "There's no spots open, what else can I do?"
Hinata's mother paused in the doorway, watching Yachi scroll through the webpages, smiling softly. She's been looking at the webpages all day, since their talk in the morning.
"Why don't you take a break honey." Mrs. Hinata said, "I'm sure you'll find something. Now come eat."
The small teen sighed before nodding, "You're right, I need a break."
When they got downstairs they heard Natsu giggling from the living room, "She's watching her morning show."
Giggling, Yachi peeked in to see an anime playing on the television. Natsu was holding some kind of doll that looks like the one on the TV, gripping it tightly.
"She must really love it."
"She does, its the only way to get her to sit down and calm down."
Once inside the kitchen they set about making a quick meal, "If you still can't find a job let me know, I might know someone who can use an extra pair of hands."
"Really!" Yachi stopped cutting the veggies. "Who is it? Do you think I can stop by for an application?"
"I can talk to her after after dinner, are you sure you want to work there, it's a cleaning job. The hours are 4 to 10 in the afternoon, it's only six hours but I hear the pay is good. Plus it's a Monday through Friday, if you really are sure I can let her know."
"Please! I'll take it!" Yachi had a determined look on her face.
"Alright, I'll let her know."
"Thank you so much Mrs. Hinata!"
"Please call me, Hana or mom which ever feels good to you." She smiled.
"A-Ah." Blushing the young teen looked away before muttering a small, "T-Thank you, m-mom..."
Squealing, Hana hugged the girl, being careful not to go overboard with anything.
Hinata
Silence filled the room, the small ginger had just told her what had happened that afternoon, why she was wearing her son's clothes.
Sipping her tea the older woman carefully set her cup down before looking at the ginger, "It's alright, Shou-chan I believe you."
"You do?"
"Yes, I know my son. If he didn't like you the first time then he would have told me, and my younger one loves you too much. More than the previous babysitters so I know you aren't like that." Haru spoke, "Believe it or not Kei really cares about Akiteru, so if he didn't trust you he would have told me so."
"O-Oh." Hinata said, looking at the table, face flushed.
"Did you need a ride home?" She asked her. "It's late and I don't really feel comfortable letting you walk home this late at night."
"Please."
"Go ahead and get your stuff, did you want to call your mother?"
Not hearing an answer, she turned to see Shouyou, who had a look of horror on her face.
"Is something wrong?"
The ginger turned to look at the older woman, "W-Well you see, I uh, that is... My phone was damaged and now it won't turn on."
Blinking the older woman opened and closed her mouth, "Oh, well I'll go ahead and call your mother, okay."
"Thank you!"
Once they had gotten inside the car, Hinata had turned to grab her belt and saw Tsukishima look at her from his window. Blinking she saw that he wasn't there anymore, just the flutter of his curtain. Brown eyes turned back to the road as the car started to move, trying to forget the look on his face.
When they got to her house, Hinata turned to look at the Mrs. Tsukishima, "Thank you for the ride Mrs. Tsukishima."
"Your welcome, Shou-chan and please just call me Haru, Mrs. Tsukishima makes feel like I'm still at work." She smiled kindly at Shouyou, but she felt like that smile had a double meaning.
"Okay, thank you I'll see you tomorrow Haru!" The ginger waved until the car drove off, before dropping her shoulders in exhaustion and walking inside her home. "I'm home."
"Welcome back Shou-chan!" Her mother called from the living room, Yachi was sitting next to her, smiling widely at her. "How was work."
"Good." She answered as she all but fell to the floor, faced down. "What did you guys do today?"
Once they all got caught up with everything, they all decided to head to bed. With Yachi and Hinata sharing the room.
"You can use anything that fits you, Yachi." Hinata said as she entered the room, closing the door behind them. "Can I call you Hitoka?"
At this Yachi turned to look at the ginger and grinned, "As long as I can call you Shouyou!"
"It's a deal!"
Hitoka took a set of pale pink pajama's, while Shouyou decided to wear the shirt as a dress to sleep, not bothering in changing out of it.
"Good night."
"Night."
Shouyou curled into a ball, making sure to leave enough space for Hitoka, and sniffed the shirt. Making sure that the blonde girl couldn't hear her, 'It still smells like him...'
Closing her eyes she gave into sleep, a small smile on her face while she wrapped herself inside the shirt.
Shouyou woke up the next day to Hitoka running out the room, covering her mouth with both hands while making weird noises.
"Hitoka?" Rubbing the sleep from her eyes she followed her to the bathroom where she was throwing up. "Oh shit-Are you okay?"
She quickly walked to her side and with one hand held her hair, the other was rubbing her back. They stayed like this until they were sure she was finished, only then did the blondie clean herself up.
"Are you okay, Hitoka?" Shouyou asked, concern was all over her face.
"Y-Yeah, I think it might be normal for pregnancy." She answered, placing a small hand on her stomach. "I think they call it morning sickness?"
"Correct."
The two girls turned to see Shouyou's mother standing by the door, looking at the two of them in amusement.
"Good morning, ready to start the day."
Hitoka looked embarrassed, while Shouyou had a look of astonished on her face.
They all went downstairs to start the day, each helping to either cook, set the table or going to wake up the only other sleeping member of the house.
"Shou-chan, I heard from Haru that you broke your phone, is that right?" Her mother spoke, raising an eyebrow at her daughter.
"Yeah, I accidentally spilled milk on it." She answered, looking away from her mothers gaze. "Sorry."
"I'm just surprised that you didn't tell me earlier. Well how about we go out later today to get you a new one?"
"Thanks mom."
Natsu was half asleep finishing her food, Hitoka was still uneasy in finishing her food, fear of throwing it all back up.
"Oh shoot, I need to get going, I'll see you guys later!" Shouyou said as she went back to her room and changed into some leggings and a white shirt, before running back down stairs and out the door, one shoe on and the other half on. "I'll see you guys later!"
Calling out their goodbyes they heard the front door close, "Well I guess we should also get ready, you have a long day ahead of you."
"Yes."
Hitoka started to pick up the plates, while Hana got Natsu and took her to the bathroom where she could clean up.
Hinata
As she got to the door she was about to knock when it was swung open and someone stepped out.
"Oh Shou-chan!" Haru called out, looking surprised. "Come in I was about to leave, thanks once again."
"Have a nice day Haru!" She called out, before gently closing the door. Turning she saw that the house was once again a mess, "Let's get started!"
She turned on the television and set the volume low so that she wouldn't wake the others up. Then began to pick the things off the floor, piling up bags that held trash, bottles and some other mysterious things. When all that was left was to get the trash outside along with the recycles she began to take them.
"Now I should make some breakfast for Akiteru." She muttered, walking back into the house and to the kitchen.
She started on the food, making simple omelets, she focused on that, not hearing the small pitter patter of feet making their way to the kitchen. Until small hands grabbed the back of her thigh, making her jump and almost scream.
Wide brown eyes turned to look at Akiteru, half asleep and swaying side to side.
"Morning, how are you." She giggled as he leaned into her thigh, rubbing his face there.
"Mmm." Was all he could answer, before being picked up by the ginger. That's when he curled into her arms and buried his face into her neck. "Sleepy."
"I'm sure you are." Turning off the stove she quickly walked away from there, after making sure to move away from the stove. "Did you want to eat now or later?"
When she didn't get an answer she turned her head and saw that the boy was already sleeping.
"Well that answers that question." She spoke softly. She moved to the couch and tried to set the boy back down only for him to have an iron grip on her shirt. Giving up she sat down, making sure he was comfortable, she began to change the channels on the television, trying to see if anything catches her eye.
"Would you look at that." Came a amused voice from the hallway.
Turning her head she saw Tsukishima looking at the two of them, eyebrows raised.
"Oh, you're still here? I thought you would have left by now?" Hinata said, looking confused.
"I'm getting ready to leave now actually." He answered walking past the couch and to the doorway. Grabbing his sports bag he heaved the strap onto one shoulder before opening the door.
"Have a nice day!" Hinata called out, standing behind him still holding the sleeping child. "We'll be by with lunch so don't forget to tell the others."
Tsukishima paused, halfway out the door, looking at the ginger with wide eyes, small blush on his cheeks. Yamaguchi, who had raised his hand to knock also stared at her.
"Ah." Quickly shoving past the other teen he slammed the door closed. "Let's go Yamaguchi."
"O-Okay Tsukki." Was all he could answer. Turning to look at his best friend, noticing the tips of his ears are red. "What was that all about?"
"Nothing."
"But-"
"Enough."
Knowing that his friend would talk when he is ready he decided to leave it be.
"What do you think they have in store for us today?"
"I don't really know, I think I heard the coaches talking about a practice match."
Hinata
Hinata blinked at the door, trying to process what happened, before walking back to the couch. Akiteru was still sleeping but he loosened his grip on her, enough to place him on the couch while she walked back to the kitchen.
"Time to start the lunch for the guys." She began to take ingredients out, turning the stove on and washing the vegetables and preparing the meat. She kept an ear out to hear if Akiteru was waking up or if he was still sleeping.
She was half way done cooking when she heard shuffling from the living room, putting the stove on the lowest she walked to Akiteru and saw that he was already getting off the couch.
"Good morning." She rubbed his head. "Are you finally up, Akiteru."
"Yeah." He answered. "'m hungry."
"Alright, go sit down and I'll get your food." Walking to the microwave she heated it up before giving it to the small child. "Careful it's hot."
She restarts on the food and keeps an eye on the child, making sure that he was not going to burn himself.
"Are we going to nii-chan's practice today?" Akiteru said as he finished his food.
"Yes we are." Hinata answered, looking for plastic containers to put the food in. "Are you done eating, I can help you choose an outfit if you want."
"I can do it!" He exclaimed before running to his room to change out of his transformers pj's. Hinata went back to packaging the meal, putting them neatly into the containers, enough for all of the team members.
"Now, how am I going to bring this to them?" She muttered. Looking around she took notice of a small wagon, grinning she found how to take them.
"I'm ready!"
Akiteru walked in and was jumping up and down in his place, eyes wide and filled with excitement.
"Okay, let me put the food in here, is that okay?"
"Yup, nii-chan doesn't use it anymore." Akiteru said as he watched the ginger load the wagon.
"Alright, lets get going!" Hinata grinned, grabbing the handle and moving towards the front door, the small child already putting his shoes on.
"Hurry up!" He called out.
"I'm going."
Walking out she made sure to have the small boy walk in between her and the inside of the walk way.
Standing outside the school, they both made their way to the volleyball gym and opened the door, just in time to see Tsukishima block a spike from Tanaka.
"Gah!" Tanaka yelled in shock.
"Better luck next time senpai." He smirked.
"Whoa." Hinata whispered.
"They're practicing against each other right now," Came a voice from their right, turning they saw the manager from the team. "They have a practice match after their lunch, come on in."
Following the pretty manager they walked to stand next to the two coaches.
"Hello, I'm Hinata Shouyou. Nice to meet you." She introduced herself, bowing her head.
"Hello Hinata, I'm Takeda Ittetsu." The one with short messy black hair with brown eyes, glasses on his nose. "
"Ukai Keishin." The taller one spoke. His dyed blond hair was held back by a head band showing off two ear piercings on the left ear. Sharp brown eyes looked at her before moving back to the court.
"I brought them lunch, I made some for you guys as well if you want some. You too Shimizu." Hinata called out, smiling before turning to look at the court. Brown eyes trained on the tall blond.
Akiteru was so engrossed with the match, moving closer to Hinata and gripping her leg, "Nii-chan is the best!"
Lunch time came around, Hinata spent the time handing out the containers while Akiteru was sitting with his brother rambling about his blocks.
"Thank you so much Hinata!"
"I will forever cherish this moment."
Thanking them she went to the third years and handed them their lunch.
"I know it's not a lot but please enjoy!"
"Thanks."
"You're an angel."
"Thank you."
She went to sit with Akiteru, looking around for the last person who had not gotten one. Brown eyes were on the look out searching, before beginning to eat her lunch, listening to the conversation.
"Hey, where's Kageyama?" She suddenly asked, upon not seeing him.
"He went to go buy some milk," Yamaguchi answered, eyes glancing down to see the extra food. "He said he will be back in a minute."
"Ah got it." She turned to her food, before noticing that she had less food now then she did earlier. She looked at Akiteru to see that he had already finished his lunch and had a cheeky smile on his face.
"It wasn't me." He immediately said, before taking her lunch box and running away.
"Akiteru!" She called out, getting up to chase after him, only to trip on a water bottle that was on the floor. Falling she braced herself to meet with the ground, only to fall on something hard and soft at the same time.
Opening her eyes she met face to face with an irritated Tsukishima, and the hard thing she fell on was the container, that was going to most likely leave a bruise on her stomach.
Which lead her to the other problem at hand, her shirt. Her white shirt is now ruined. She was pushed off by the blond who looked at his now ruined food, sighing he closed it up and turned to look at his brother, who froze upon hearing the ginger fall.
"Akiteru."
"Y-Yes." He turned to look at the scowl in his brother's face.
"Bring me that food, now."
"RUDE!" Hinata yelled as she sat up, matching his scowl with her own.
"Here."
And to her shock he began to eat it, as if nothing happened.
"Wow, he's eating her lunch."
"Tsukishima!" She called out, looking angry. "That's my food!"
"You ruined mine, so I get yours simple as that." He spoke so casually, already at the last bite, but before he could finish it the chopsticks were ripped from his hands. Looking up he saw the ginger give him a smirk before taking the last bite.
"Well since your going to be like that, I get the last bite." She smiled before closing the container. "Now what am I going to do about my shirt."
"Well for now change out of it, you can borrow one if Shimizu's." The captain said.
"Let's go to the girls locker." She said.
"Akiteru, stay with your brother for now okay? I'll be back." Upon seeing him nod did she follow the third year.
Leading the ginger there, upon entering she began to look around her locker for a shirt. "Sorry Hinata, all I have is an extra tank top."
"That's fine, it'll do for now." Hinata smiled. "Too bad I don't have my keys I usually have extra clothes in there."
Quickly changing into the tank top she realized one thing.
"U-Um Shimizu," She turned to look at her. "Is it supposed to be like this?"
Shimizu's grey eyes widen at the extra skin showing. "Oh, I must have grabbed the wrong one this morning."
Hinata whined as she sunk into the floor face red. She tried to pull it up, it helped a little but didn't cover much.
"I'm sorry Hinata." Shimizu said. "We can see if any of the boys have extra shirts."
Nodding the ginger followed her out, using the white shirt as a protection. Entering the gym she walked behind Shimizu, hiding from the others view. As the third year began to explain, Tsukishima walked up to them.
"-so now we need a shirt or a jacket. Does anyone have a spare around?"
Brown eyes turned to meet with embarrassed ones.
"W-What."
Saying nothing her grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards his bag on the floor, only letting go to rummage through it. "Here wear this for now."
He handed her his black volleyball jacket, and took the white shirt from her ignoring her small 'eep' as he tossed it into his bag. He looked up in time to catch sight of the exposed skin and brown eyes widen.
Turning away he knew the damage was already done, but then he felt arms wrap around him in a hug.
"Thanks Tsukki!" She tightened her arms to get her point across.
'Ah, now I see.' He thought, 'I'm so screwed.'
Sorry bout that long wait I was going to originally post this two weeks ago, but I live in California and it was burning in two cities near where I live. The fire was closing us in so we had to evacuate and I didn't really get a chance to post it. I'm still trying to process that all this happened so I do apologize that it took longer than expected.
Thanks for reading please R&R! I will appreciate it.
