So, I haven't chosen pairings yet, However, I don't think it will happen just yet, he is only 14. I've read tons of stories where Harry, cannon age or no, started having sex and stuff by the second year. While sometimes it's entertaining...I find it weird that that happened.
I don't own Harry Potter.
Dumbledore frowned, he knew Molly's potion was already in Rose's food but she didn't act any different. She despised Ronald and had sent him to the hospital several times already. He turned to the Black heir, he was becoming a real problem. Rose was considered a prodigy and on par with her brother and future sister in law. Sure they hadn't had anything official but he saw the sparkle in the Greengrass Heiress's eyes every time she looked at him and Harry had a soft spot for her. He needed to figure out a crack in the armor.
Months passed and nothing much happened except the constant beat downs he had to dish out to Malfoy who couldn't learn to shut his mouth. Today was a half-day for class due to the Halloween feast tonight. Harry entered the Ancient Runes classroom and opened his notebook, "hmm...I'm missing something here, perhaps a lost rune for memory...it would make sense, magical's seemed to lack common sense they wouldn't think of something like that. Harry flipped open the Black family Grimoire and flipped to the runes section.
"Harry, what are you doing?" He looked up and smiled at Daphne.
"Looking for runes that were lost to time. Once I got the runes curriculum I noticed the extra credit option for developing a special project. So I'm trying to rediscover the runic sequence for the Pensieve."
Daphne's eyes lit up and she grinned, Harry was better than her at Runes and Arithmancy, but she beat him in Potions and charms. They alternated first place in everything else but Divination and history of magic, both classes were trash, the just studied independently for the OWLS and NEWTS. "Then we can work together on that, I can study the potion portion and we can get the credit in both classes." The teacher came in and began the class after that.
After class Harry made a detour to the third floor and dropped off some food for the Cerberus and headed down to the great hall, the Halloween feast was today and he was starving. However halfway down he saw a Gryffindor running and crying, Harry sighed and chased after her, catching her right before she entered the bathroom, "hey! Are you ok?"
Hermione turned and was almost instantly entranced by the violet eyes of the older student, "I...I'm fine. I just have to go to the bathroom."
Harry laughed slightly, "come on, you can tell me. I'm Harry, Harrison, Harrison Black. You can call me Harry"
That caused her to gasp, "your one of the first people to pass up Dumbledore's school grades! I'm Hermione Granger." When she first got to school and found out that two fourth years, and eventually Rose Potter had blown Dumbledore's records out of the water she was upset, she had never lost in an academic thing before but she thought it over a week later and found she liked being in a school where she could go to someone else but the teachers, and eventually Harry was someone she looked up to, and Daphne was someone she aspired to be. "...it's nothing. That redhead...Ronald I think, insulted me and bullied me. Said I didn't have any friends."
Harry grinned and chuckled, "oh, don't take what he says to heart. He is already being claimed as the worst student to have ever attended Hogwarts. He isn't worth the tears you shed. Gryffindor is not the best house for a brain like yours, Ravenclaw or Slytherin encourage you to do your best and cheer when you do good, and Hufflepuff would be a good place to have a lot of friends. Lions don't take education very seriously."
Hermione looked down, "but I'm a Gryffindor..."
Harry smiled, "well, no rule says you can't make friends in other houses, plus... there is a catch about that. You see In third year you can request a resorting if you feel that your not the same as when your first started."
Her eyes widened at that, "I didn't see that in Hogwarts a history!"
Harry laughed, "yea...that book became trash after Dumbledore took the headmaster position. He cut almost all of the classes and let some of the old rules fade from memory. He may be a decent wizard but I don't think he should be allowed near children."
Hermione looked scandalized, "but...he is the best wizard in the world."
Harry gave her an amused look, "perhaps in Britain yea...but due to the Death eaters ruling our government we are several years behind every other magical world. I hear Beauboxins teaches Alchemy and spell creation. Plus, what kind of idiot tells a school of children to not go to a part of the castle and justifies that with someone dying? Most kids here would go just to see why they couldn't go there. Especially Gryffs."
Hermione smiled at that, he wasn't wrong. Her house had all wanted to go there. "Ok..." her stomach made itself known. Her face turned red.
Harry chuckled, "come on. Let's go eat." He held his hand out. "And if you looking for a friend, introduce yourself to my sister, she's been looking for other friends than Astoria that could match her Intellect."
Entering the entrance hall Harry narrowed his eyes at the defense professor led a troll inside the great hall, "Hermione, stay behind me ok?" She nodded shaking in fear.
Harry raised his wand and a green curse flew out of his wand and the troll dropped dead, "professor, why the hell are you bringing in a troll into the school." He shouted so the whole hall heard.
Quirell spun around so fast his turban unraveled, "Black. I should have known."
"Hermione, run into the great hall, find Rose. She will protect you." The first year ran into the great hall as the two began exchanging spells.
Harry cast a banishing charm and the teacher flew into the hall, his turban completely falling off.
Walking in slowly, his magic swirling around him as everyone stared wide-eyed, a second face was sticking out of the back of the Professor's head. Harry narrowed his eyes, "so, Tom...that's where you ran off to."
Voldemort scowled, "kill him fool! He did this to your master!" Another killing curse was flung, and everyone's eyes widened as the curse crashed into his hip, right over his pocket, and he just stood there shaking it off like nothing happened.
"Next time Voldemort, do not threaten the safety of children." He flicked his wand and the man's cloak began to twist around and strangle the possessed man.
A few minutes later the man dropped down and a misty form rose from the teacher, "I'll get you, Black. Mark my words, not even your pathetic mother will be able to stop me from killing you next time." He screeched out of the room.
Harry approached the downed professor and held a finger to the man's pulse point, he was alive, but barely. "Tch. Stupid dark lord couldn't even see you were still alive." A green bottle came out of his bag, "sorry professor, but you probably won't recover your magic, but at least you'll be alive." The potion went down his throat and the man began breathing regularly, "madame Pomphrey, he is going to need help, I managed to heal his throat but he still needs healing."
Dumbledore stood, "my boy he needs to be arrested. He is a death eater."
Harry narrowed his eyes, "if that's the case you should be arrested too. I believe you were close to Grindlewald in our youth. No, he was possessed. Not responsible for his actions, due to that though he is practically a squib now anyway."
Everyone's eyes turned to the headmaster and he began sweating, he had worked hard to make sure people don't figure out his history beyond his defeat of Grindlewald. Lots of bad things could be taken out of context, his father being thrown in Azkaban, his assault of the muggles that destroyed his sister's mind, his friendship with a dark lord...even the wand he wielded if they looked in the right place." R...right." he sat down, in thought trying to think of a way he found that info.
The rest of the year went smoothly, well, after Hagrid worriedly began asking around for a Male Cerberus. That caused his eyes to widen, the half-giant didn't even know the gender of the dog. He shrugged, oh well, Fluffy was safe at the Potter/Black magical creatures to reserve happily running around and taking care of the puppies that he had failed to notice she was about to be giving birth to.
He had to sit the half-giant down to talk to him and tell him that the Cerberus was a female and that he had had to transport her to the magical creature reserve he had been offered a position at so she could safely deliver her puppies. Hagrid had been amazed at him, and when asked he had given him a port key to the place so he could see her, and Selena, the dragon he had hatched, as well. He had a feeling the place would become a secret sanctuary for the creature loving half-giant.
Hermione, Rose, and Astoria had become fast friends after Halloween. Hermione began truly enjoying her life in the magical world and fully planned to change houses in the third year because even though she stopped trying to push her house to be better they still made fun of her for being so smart. She was currently hoping for Slytherin Harry, Rose, and Astoria had told her they would keep the racist kids away from her in that house, but she wouldn't mind Ravenclaw either because of the private library they had.
As usual Harry and Daphne blew the competition away and tied for first place. Slytherin won the house cup and quidditch cup for the seventh year in the row, a new record.
Boarding the train he smiled at the three young girls, "be careful of Ronald, Rose."
She gave him a thumbs up and wandered off with Hermione and Astoria, the two raised In the magical world teaching the new blood their ways and reasons for those ways. "C'mon Daph, let's go find Ceddy and the rest." The blonde followed after her crush without a word.
Stepping off the train he greeted his family happily and gave them his school trunk when Daphne returned after hugging her family. A man with graying red hair approached and grinned. All three vanishing in a swirl, both families smiling proudly at what they accomplished.
Albus Dumbledore stared in horror at the obvious fake stone, only the obvious students had traveled down the third-floor corridor. The ones who were in the middle of their teenage rebellious fazes. But not his pawn, her brother did, but Hagrid had told him that he was more interested in the Cerberus...a very pregnant Cerberus too. That was why he had let Hagrid have a few weeks off, Harrison had given him a port key to the Potter/Black magical creature reserve to visit 'grandchildren.' That had been amusing to him, but he could see the half-giant taking Fluffy's puppy's as his grandchildren, he had raised her from a puppy after all.
That also raised became the question of how Black bad shrugged off a killing curse like it was a stunner as well.
Shaking his head he stared at the stone in front of him, which still left the question...where did the real stone go? Scowling he vanished the stone and turned around. "Perhaps I can encourage Rose with the return of Slytherins Monster." He wholeheartedly ignored the glares that he was receiving from the portraits and Fawkes.
Though he didn't notice Phineas Black shakes his head and depart for his other portrait, the old headmaster wholeheartedly agreed with his newest descendant. The dark and light needed to fall, and if the boy was such a good work on magical creatures, then a basilisk wouldn't be a problem for him.
"Wake up boy!" Harry jolted awake and looked up to the portrait of his ancestor Phineas, he had just returned from his training trip with the Flamells early, unfortunately, his grandfather had passed and he had to assume the head of house position.
"Grandpa Phineas...what can I do for you?"
He frowned at the grandpa part, but he couldn't really punish him...not like it was wrong, or he had any titles anymore. "I have come to warn you. Dumbledore is going to instigate the re-opening of the chamber of secrets."
Harry frowned, "alright...you were headmaster, what is the monster."
"A basilisk. If I hear of your death I will be most displeased. You are the last chance for blacks to survive."
Harry raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Well. The death stare doesn't work on Parslemouths, so the biggest problems I'm going to run into are the venom and finding the entrance."
Phineas grunted, "check the journals of Dipper Black. He was in school at the same time as one Tom Riddle." Harry nodded and departed the study.
Harry had to finish the last of his grandfather's work. Looking over to the locket of Salazar Slytherin, the Cup of Hufflepuff, now soul free, and the Diadem of Ravenclaw and the family ring of the Gaunt clan, also freed of the abomination within. The fool of a dark lord had split his soul several times. His grandfather had ensured that he and Rosie weren't infected by the crazy man and went out to find them.
The cup was conveniently in the Lestrange vault, which the Black family claimed when the family was stripped of its titles due to his mother.
Uncle Regulus had given Kreacher the Locket before he died.
The ring was in the old worn down shack of the Gaunts
And Hadrian had found the diadem in Hogwarts, damn thing tried ripping through his mental walls. In the process, he had also found a vanishing cabinet that he knew looked exactly like the one in Borgin and Burks. He burnt that thing into ashes.
Arcturus had discovered that Lucius held another and that during a meeting with the aged headmaster another resided within him. But Harry knew that Tom was very superstitious, so he would try for 7 pieces of soul. Though he would fail at that due to Dumbledore. But that meant he would attempt to make another one eventually.
Harry sighed and sat back, his Grandfathers notes had told him that Dumbledore knew of the Horcrux, so Harry sighed and picked the ring up, taking the stone out and apararated to the rundown shack of the Gaunts. Replacing the curse on the ring and resetting Tom's traps were tricky, and there was no guarantee it would be Dumbledore who found the thing, but...it was a chance he supposed.
He might as well reach out to Rita Skeeter, she did owe the Blacks a debt for them getting her into the Daily Prophet and ensuring nobody had come after her so far. Perhaps his knowledge of the two great lords of the time would be put to use in her hands. Shaking his head he appeared back at Andromeda's house with a muffled crack, he had a funeral to plan first.
