AUTHOR'S NOTE AND DISCLAIMER:

We don't own these characters. Here is the beginning of something exciting actually happening, sorry for making you wait two chapters. We have also included 3 POV's in this as opposed to the usual 2. Please give constructive criticism and enjoy!

Book Hiccup POV (what everybody's up to)

I'm enjoying this English task, it would be even better if it were not for the Snots, who unfortunately got put in our group. They constantly make snide remarks and compare their muscles, hoping to win over one of the girls in our group. It's a pointless exercise, and I'm not really sure why they bother. It's also very painstaking for everybody else to watch. So I try to ignore them and focus instead on writing a short history of the Meso-Shire branch of Warlocks instead.

Fishlegs (my best friend) is determinedly writing a poem about the love of the Elven lords. Astrid and Camicazi seem to be collectively working on the fighting techniques used by a particular species of Elves. The Snots are doing absolutely nothing to help the project develop, they prefer to spend lesson time showing off and….that's it really, they don't do much else. The other Fishlegs in our class is busy working on a certain plant species that originated from the Doom Chasm, the Glomoria Sippleflower. Over on the other side of the room, the twins have apparently caused chaos already, earning them their 3rd detention of the day, and it's only first lesson!

I finish my history of the Meso-Shire branch of Warlocks and move on to detailing the events of the great siege of the Grand High Dwarven mountain. To start with, I mark where the mountain is placed on our map, the second tallest peak in the Solitudial Mountains.

Astrid POV (panic!)

This is a really fun lesson. Also a chance to extend my friendship group a bit. Camicazi is great but sometimes I need other people too - if I spend too much time with Hiccup, people tease me and there isn't really anyone else.

Opposite me, other Hiccup slaves away over a bit of map. He might be someone I could try to make friends with and the two Fishlegs are great company too. Camicazi and I puzzle out the battles of the Shire and the fighting techniques of the different species. Before I know what has happened, the bell is ringing and I need to go to next lesson - P.E. As I head to my locker, I can feel Stormfly waking up. Drat. She wriggles and I turn to Hiccup.

"I just need to go to my locker, you guys go ahead."

He nods and I walk briskly towards the girl's toilets. I head in and lock the door, open my bag and pick her up.

"Shhh!" I croon and she starts to settle again. Then, just as she goes to sleep, some numpty clomps in and slams another cubicle. She jumps up, quivers and bolts. Curse it. Now I'm doomed - if someone notices I brought a monkey into school I'm dead meat. I jump up and run out the bathrooms.

Book Hiccup's POV (what a great day!)

I see Astrid's bag wriggle as we head off to P.E. Hm...I guess I'm not the only one that's brought a pet into school today. She rushes off to the toilets, presumably to quieten her frisky animal.

I head off to my locker to get my P.E kit, it's near the girl's bathrooms so I head the same way as Astrid. P.E isn't exactly my type of lesson, it's more for the Snots or the twins….but definitely not me and Fishlegs. I grab my stuff from my locker and turn around just in time to see Astrid sprinting out of the toilets chasing after a squealing monkey.

"A bit of help here!" Astrid shouts out, running at full speed after the fleeing monkey. Stunned by this sudden occurrence, I find myself joining the chase, circling round the outside to try and corner her pet. I rush back into the corridor as the monkey rounds the corner, followed hotly on it's heels by a panicking Astrid. Unfortunately, as I make an effort to catch it, Wodensfang darts out of pocket, getting panicked from all the running. He yelps as he comes face to face with Astrid's monkey and he starts scampering away down the hall.

"Oh No" I think to myself "this is going to end really badly, for all four of us!". Great. Just great. We're now chasing two scared and panicked animals around the whole school. On the plus side, this will probably mean we get to miss most of P.E!
