Astrid's POV (texts, and plans)

Finally, after about 40 minutes of trawling through contacts, I find someone with Fishlegs' number, who, in turn, gives me Hiccup's.

U OK? I'm stuck home with a parent who now hates me. Hope ur dad's ok with u getting in trouble.

It pings back quite fast with a reply. I've hidden the device in my desk - hopefully dad won't look there.

I'm OK but my dad's mad at me,he replies. I wince. Ouch. Having a parent mad at you is bad but the Co - Mayor? That's a pain.

U want to meet up later? I ask. We're in trouble already so what more can sneaking out do to me?

U sure that's a good idea? We're already in tons of trouble.

Come on! I can't stay inside forever, no matter what my dad thinks. Plus, it's a nice day! I say.

Fine! Meet you the park in 2 hrs he says and I sit up to renew working with new enthusiasm.

2 hrs later…

Finally! It's time. I grab a coat from my door and slide open the window. My door has a lock so I shut it and put on the 5 hour recording of me typing to stop my dad from being suspicious. Stormfly looks up at me with big eyes ,so sighing, I put her around my neck muttering "You've caused me enough trouble today!" Eventually, I climb down the guttering and head for the park.

Book Hiccup's POV (how to get to the park, inconspicuously)

I lock my door and climb out the window, my Dad won't be home for a few hours, but just in case, I put on a 7 hour recording of me working (don't ask, it was a really long night!) to deter any suspicion. I shimmy down the wall and drop into our back garden. Wodensfang jumps down out of nowhere and attaches himself to my shoulder. (Did I mention that he's part flying squirrel?). I know from the way he's squeaking at me that he doesn't intend to let go. I sigh "well, you'd better come with me then", he squirms his way into my shirt pocket, with only his little head poking out, sniffing curiously. I absentmindedly stroke his head as I walk over to the fence at the back of the garden; the front gate is locked, and besides, climbing over fences is fun. I scramble over the wooden fence and drop down onto the pavement, thankfully, there's no-one about, they're all at school or at work during this time of day. I walk along the pavement until I reach the crossroads, where I turn left onto the public footpath. It's disused and overgrown, people prefer to use the path further along the lane I just came off. Nettles and brambles are strewn over the path, and in some places it's impossible to get through without a scratch. Why did I choose this path? Well...it's a quicker route to the park, and I can stay, umm...inconspicuous. Maybe. I've been using it ever since I discovered it, when I was 6. The tree house here also maybe might have been built by me…

We hope that was ok, please review...
