"Home sweet home" Josh said with a smile.

"You yes. We still need to drive." Gibbs said and gave him a hand. "Thanks for the trip."

"You're welcome. Well I think I go with Bruce to the hospital now to check his shoulder out. Just to make sure." Josh said and Bruce rolled his eyes.

"I think it's a good idea. Come on Oscar." Simon said and went to his car. Oscar followed him.

Simon almost closed the door when he saw Gibbs walking to the driver side of his own car. Tony was already in it. "Jethro." He called.

Gibbs looked up questionable. "Call me if you need me." He said and Gibbs nodded with a smile before he started the car and drove home.

Tony looked confused when the car suddenly stopped. "This is not grandpa's home."

"I know. Be back in a minute. You stay here." Gibbs said and stepped out of the car. Tony looked confused and followed Gibbs in the mirrors of the car. Where was he going, Tony wondered.

Five minutes later Gibbs was back in the car. He was carrying a bag. "Where did you go? What's in the bag?" Tony asked.

Gibbs gave Tony the bag. "It's for you."

Tony gave Gibbs a confused look when Gibbs started the car again. Tony looked inside the bag he expected anything but not medicine.

"Medicine?"

"Yep. You got an antibiotic prescription for a week."

"Why? How? What?" Tony asked confused.

"Ducky and Brad gave you a prescription you could take out of precaution. So you take this. I already spoke to Ducky."

"You are serious?" Tony asked and Gibbs gave him a firm look. "You are serious. Alright got it."

A couple of minutes later they were home.

"Back so soon? How was your trip?" Jackson asked when he saw the car.

"Good. Some hiking, some swimming, some drowning and Bruce is in the hospital now." Tony said.

Jackson eyes widened in shock. "You what! He what!"

OOWW!" Gibbs gave Tony a headslap. "What was that for?"

Gibbs gave him a look. "What do you think?"

"Well it's true." Tony state.

"This is not how you tell someone this and especially your grandfather." Gibbs said.

"You want me to lie?" Tony asked innocent.

Gibbs gave Tony a stern look. "You know what I mean. Go inside, unpack your bag and take a shower. I will tell dad the real story."

"Hey what I said was true!"

"In. Now!" Gibbs said and gave him a light swat on his backside.

"I'm going, I'm going." Tony said with his head low.

Jackson looked at his son. "What the hell happend Leroy?"

Gibbs sighs. "Let's go inside. I will tell you over a cup of coffee."

Jackson nodded and followed him inside. When Gibbs had his coffee, he told his dad all about what happend. Not all the bad part but also a lot of good parts. How they had fun and joked with each other.

"Well you had an excited trip. How is Bruce? Tony said he was in the hospital". Jackson asked.

"Simon had set his shoulder and immediately immobilized it. He should be fine he said. They went to the hospital for a picture just to make sure."

"Ah good." Jackson looked at his watch. Tony was gone for a long time. "Where is that boy? He should be done by now." Jackson wondered.

Gibbs stood up. He was wondering the same thing. "I will check up on him. I also want to take a shower." Jackson nodded and Gibbs went upstairs.

He first checked the bathroom. It looks like Tony had already showered so he would probably be in his bedroom. Gibbs knocked softly on the door and said softly Tony's name. No answer.

Carefully Gibbs opened the door.

Tony lying on his bed. Deep asleep. Gibbs walked to him and puts a blanket around him. He runs a hand through Tony's hair and kissed him on his forehead. The boy was tired. He would let him sleep for now.

Gibbs walked to his own bedroom to get some clean clothes before he went to the bathroom to shower.

Half a hour later Gibbs was done. He had showered, had some clean clothes on and had unpacked his bag. Gibbs wanted to walk downstairs but decided to check up on Tony one more time.

Tony was coughing softly in his his sleep and was a little restless. Gibbs went to him and sat besides him and leans against the headboard of the bed. Gibbs lifted Tony up a little and held him so was leaning against his chest. Tony opened his eyes for a moment confused and Gibbs runs his fingers through his hair.

"Ssh go back to sleep." Gibbs whispered softly and Tony closed his eyes again. Gibbs soon followed and also took a nap.

Half a hour later Jackson walked upstairs to look for his son and grandson. He was expecting them downstairs by now. Softly Jackson opened Tony's bedroom door. There he saw them both asleep peacefully. Jackson smiled and the sight warmed his heart. Softly he closed the door again and went downstairs to read a book.

Two and a half hours later Jackson looked at his watch and decided that they had slept enough. If they sleep longer they wouldn't sleep tonight. Softly Jackson shook the shoulder of his son.

"Leroy time to wake up."

Gibbs opened his eyes and looked confused at his dad. He then looked at Tony before he looked at his dad again.

"You have been asleep for three hours now. If you both sleep more you will not sleep tonight."

"Three hours?" Gibbs asked shocked. "Uhm yeah we come downstairs in a minute. I will wake Tony." Jackson nodded and went downstairs to make some coffee.

Gibbs tried to rouse Tony up. Carefully Tony opened his eyes. "Dad?"

"Hey. Time to get up. We slept for a long time. If we sleep more we will not sleep tonight."

Tony looked confused around him before he sat up and coughed a little. "Thought I just close my eyes for a minute."

Gibb ruffled his hair. "Yeah thought so too. Come on. Dad is waiting downstairs for us. You feeling okay?"

Tony stood up. "Yeah fine."

"You were coughing in your sleep. Your breathing okay?" Gibbs asked as he puts a hand on Tony's forehead.

"Yeah just a tickling." Tony said as he opens the door of the bedroom and walked downstairs.

Gibbs sighs but followed him to the kitchen and took some coffee.

"Well you both must have been tired if you slept so long." Jackson said as he gave them a piece of cake he baked earlier.

"Didn't get much sleep last night." Gibbs said.

"This is a really good cake grandpa." Tony said with a smile.

Jackson smiled. "I am glad you like it." And gibbs shook his head with a smile.

After the cake was eaten Gibbs looked at his watch and saw the time. He stood up to get the bag he brought on his way here. He than gave Tony a tablet to take.

Tony looked at him and sighs. "What's that?" Jackson asked curiously.

"Antibiotics." Gibbs said and than looked at Tony. "Don't stare at it. Take it."

Tony sighs but took the medicine. "Why does he needs antibiotics? And why didn't I know?" Jackson asked as he crossed his arm.

"Because of the water dad. He swallowed some and with his lungs..."

"Why do we always have to talk about that?" Tony asked as he rolled his eyes.

"Because I like to know kid. If you are sick I want to know." Jackson said. "What is with his lungs?"

Tony sighs, he stood up and walked outside to the garden. He didn't want to be there for that conversation.

Jackson and Gibbs looked at him as he walked away before Gibbs told his father about Tony's time with the plague and why he had to take the antibiotics.

After the conversation Jackson decided to talk to his grandson. Tony had found the basketball and was shooting hoops. Not the best idea if you were coughing.

"You sure you should be doing that?" Jackson asked from the doorway.

Tony looked at him before he starts shooting again. Jackson sighs.

"It was some pretty heavy stuff to hear kid. I could understand that it wouldn't be easy for you to hear again. It could be scary sometimes and still is apparently."

"So now you know." Tony said as he shoots but missed because he coughed.

"Tony stop it. Take it easy. Come sit with me I got coffee." Tony looked at him hesitated. "Now Tony." Jackson sternly.

Tony sighs and took the mok from Jackson and sat besides him. Jackson ruffled his hair.

"Your dad is making dinner as we speak. You know he is just worried about you? Just like I am."

"He doesn't alway have to be. Yes I know one of those things could happen because of... that but I want to have a normal life and not to worry about that."

"Sometimes we don't always have a choice kid. Sometimes you have to live with it. And in your case sometimes you have to be careful and have to worry about it for a moment and accept that. Because if you don't it could get a lot worse."

"I know." Tony said softly.

"And tell you something else kid. A dad will always worry about his child no matter what. That is a father's instinct. You never going to change that." Jackson said with a smile and ruffled his hair.

Tony laughed. "Yeah kind of experience that already."

"I thought so." Jackson said and stood up. Tony followed him but was surprised when Jackson held him in his arms. "I'm so glad you're still alive and still can do what you want. I would never have met you otherwise. I love you kid." Jackson whispered.

Tony swallowed for a moment before he found his voice. "I love you too grandpa."

Jackson looked at him with a watery smile. "Let's go inside. Your dad should be done with dinner now."

———————————

It was two days later and Tony was helping Jackson in the store. It was after all his punishment from before the camping trip. Only his dad and grandfather wouldn't let him work the same hours because he was still coughing and a little breathless sometimes.

The bell in the store went off and an older woman stepped inside.

"Good afternoon ma'm how can I help you?" Jackson asked kindly.

"Uhmm I don't know if this it the right address. I was on my way to my daughter when I saw the name Stillwater on the side of the road and decided to stop. I don't know if he is still here but I am looking for a Jethro Gibbs?" The older woman asked.

"He is my son."

"He is? Is he still here. I really like to speak to him." The woman asked.

"Uhmm yeah he is still here. Wait a moment I will get him for you." Jackson said and went to look for his son.

Tony was putting some boxes away and had his back to the woman so he didn't see her face. Of course he wanted to know who she was but if he opened his mouth now he was sure he had a coughing fit he didn't want to have. He already could feel the tickling in his throat.

The woman was looking curiously at the young man working in the back of the store. She wondered if it was him.

The door opened again. Jackson was back but now followed by his son.

"Hello ma'm. I understand you wanted to speak to me? I'm Jethro Gibbs." Gibbs said.

The woman took a deep breath. "Yes. I am glad you are still here. I wasn't sure. I knew I was waiting too long. You called me a couple of day's ago. Well more than a week ago. You had some questions for me remember? You told me that maybe talking would help us both. And that made me think. I couldn't get those thoughts out of my head to think about what kind of man he has become."

"Wait a minute are you..." Gibbs begins.

Tony turned around slowly when he heard that voice.

"Oh I am sorry. I never said my name. I am Heather Willis." The woman said and gave Gibbs her hand.

Tony gasped and the box he was holding fell to the ground. Suddenly Tony had the coughing fit he was trying to avoid and sank to his knees. "How..." he tries to say. But could finish the sentence.
