Waking Dreams
In the darkness of the deep,
Creatures of a past time sleep.
Beneath layers of sand and stone,
These ancient beings rest alone.
…
But comes the day there is a shaking.
They very quickly start awaking.
A metal titan carves up stone,
Does not leave them well alone.
…
Strange beings in their suits of light,
Wander through the seafloor's night.
Those they take will squirm and scream,
But their beast continues to end dreams.
…
The dream is ended, now's nightmare,
The creatures know rage and despair.
But perhaps they're not forsaken,
For their god is starting to awaken.
…
These aliens will meet their deaths.
In the darkness take their final breaths.
And then again, they will dream free,
Within the darkness of the sea.
