Chapter Two
A noble magical family
In a dark and cozy nest slept a little black cat named Reaperpaw. Why that name? Well he has two powers, the one that got him his name is death sense. He can sense approaching death so he try and stop it if he can. He was dreaming about hunting mice with his mentor Berrywing until he heard a buzzing in his ear. He opened his to find his two moons old kit sister Duskkit trying to wake him up. "Come on big bwother, wake up!" She squeaked. He grinned as he got up and stretched. "Ok I'm up, I'm up." he said. "Yay! Now we can play!" She squeaked excitedly. "One round of Hide n seek before I train?" He asked as he left the apprentices den. "Ok! I hide first!" She squeaked while following him. "Ok I'll count to ten then come find you." He covered his eyes and started to count. "1..2...3." Duskkit found a good hiding spot in Lionstar's den. Lionstar was her and Reaperpaw's father. "8...9...10! Ok ready or not here I come!" He called out as warriors were coming out of their dens. He looked behind trees and inside bushes, then he checked the nursery. He found his mother Midnightpelt still asleep in her nest and few other queens but not Duskkit. He then tried the elder's den where their grandmother Nightwish was, but couldn't find Duskkit. There was one place he hadn't checked their dad's den as Duskkit knew not to hide in the warriors den. As he headed there, most of the warriors were out of the warriors den and eating from the fresh kill pile. He was called out as he went by, he turned his head and found it was Berrywing. She was a bluish gray like Bluestar but with green eyes. "Once you find your sister and I eat, we're practicing your fighting skills." She said picking out a mouse. "Ok Berrywing." He said at the mouth of Lionstar's den. There he found a fluffy golden tabby cat licking his paw, this was Lionstar. "Good morning dad! Have you seen Duskkit? We're playing hide n seek and I can't find her." He said in a playful tone. "Oh is that so? No wonder I woke up and found a little black furball trying to hide herself in my fur. He said playfully as he lifted his fluffy tail to revel Duskkit. Ah, daddy, you can't help Weaper find me." She scolded. "oops" He said still in a playful tone. "Ok Duskkit, I got to go find Berrywing...Oh good morning mom." He said turning around. "Hello Reaperpaw, are you and Duskkit bothering your dad?" she said with a amused glint in her eyes. "We were pwaying hide n seek" Duskkit squeaked. "Ah, I see. By the way Reaperpaw Berrywing was looking for you." "Ok thanks mom!" he said dashing out. What he thought was a typical day of training turned out to be his worst nightmare.
