"Reid and Rossi head down to the morgue to get the full ME reports. Emily and JJ, try and see if you can get any more information from the Sanders, Morgan and I will go and talk to the Adams, hopefully, they've had some time to recover so we can interview them a bit more," Hotch informed everyone as they all met up in the lobby. Everyone nodded their heads in response before separating into three separate SUVs and going to their designated places.

"Have you found anything new or something that had been unidentified before?" Reid asked as they entered the morgue, the bodies laid out.

"I haven't found anything other than the obvious that they have been slit open. However, the cuts are precise and clean. Only someone with some sort of expertise could have made such incisions," the pathologist informed the duo.

"Are we looking at someone who works in the medical field?" Rossi asked as he watched Reid do his own inspection of the bodies.

"Possibly, the lines were too steady to have been free-handed," she stated.

"Are there any signs of sexual assault?" Reid questioned.

"No, other than the incisions created, there are no other indications of other damage to the bodies."

"So the incisions weren't made postmortem," Reid input. The pathologist shook her sadly.

"Unfortunately they were made antemortem. Though it's very slight, I did find a small trace of morphine in the system. Only a small amount, if there had been any more drugs then they must have bled out."

"So it wouldn't be possible to tell whether or not the victims suffered during the torture," Rossi sighed as he stared at the bodies.

"I think they did suffer," Reid murmured as he sunk down to a lower level, looking intently at the bodies. "Look, there aren't any ligature marks, but the report said that there were lint and other residue from the carpet under their fingernails like they were grasping onto it in pain. Given enough morphine, there would be no need to have them tied because they would've been sedated. I think the unsub only gave them enough morphine to subdue, but not enough to sleep them through the pain," the doctor stood up and watched as a distasteful look appeared on the other agent's face.

"So he tortured them but didn't rape them. So his MO wasn't sexual," Rossi came to the conclusion and Reid nodded in agreement. They thanked the pathologist before leaving the site and heading back to the police station where the others had also reunited.

"The Sanders didn't give us any information that we didn't already know," JJ sighed as Emily slouched in her seat.

"Mr. Adams did say that he was attacked from the front," Hotch said as they all sat down around the table.

"He also said that he felt a prick before losing conscious," Morgan pointed out, lacing his fingers in front of him. Dr. Reid found himself staring at the older's man's hands for a minute too long before speaking up about his own finds. "He also said he had lost consciousness and when he woke up, both women were barely alive."

"Rossi," he thought out loud, looking over at the agent. The other agent understood, dialing Garcia's number quickly.

"PG reporting for hacking duty," her voice sounded as she was put on speaker.

"Can you pull the Adams and Sanders male medical records?" Rossi spoke into the phone.

"Come on, give me something harder than that," she muttered as her fingers clacked loudly.

"Garcia, can you see if all four had traces of morphine in their bloodstreams when found?" Reid asked as he paced slightly.

"Why morphine?" Morgan questioned.

"The pathologist told us she found small amounts of morphine in the women's system," Rossi explained.

"Yes there was, my dear," Garcia confirmed.

"Is a dosage enlisted?" Reid asked.

"Uhh," she pondered as she searched through the records. "According to the report, enough to have slept a maximum of three hours," she trailed.

"Thanks, baby girl," Morgan said before pressing the button to end the call.

"That would explain how neither the children nor the men saw the unsub," Hotch leaned forward. "He only cut the women and left, maybe watching for a bit but he didn't stay to watch them bleed out all the way. He just wanted the males to see it so he made his escape before the males woke up."

"Oh, there were also no signs of sexual assault," Reid put in.

"And according to our genius, the women did in fact suffer whilst the incisions were created as the pathologist mentioned that they were done antemortem, the cause of death being that they had bled out," Rossi added.

"Wait, so the guy wanted them to suffer in front of his family?" the sheriff's eyes widened at the new information. Emily nodded, confirming his question.

"Yup."

"I think it's time we deliver the profile," Hotch stood up.

"That is all for now, thank you," Hotch ended the briefing with the officer as Reid dialed a number on his phone, having figured something out when delivering the profile.

"At your service, 187," Gracia grinned.

"Pull up all records of caretakers in the area," Reid spoke into the phone quickly.

"Gotta narrow that down for me, my darling," Garcia replied as her fingers moved rapidly over her keyboard.

"Does the list have I.D. pictures?" he questioned. The team all stood around him as they listened to the conversation, waiting anxiously.

"Yes they in fact do."

"Look for someone with a facial deformation," Hotch leaned over the table to speak onto the phone that was sitting on speaker.

"Alright, I'll look out and I'll call you back when I find him, P out!" and the line went dead.

"What could've been the stressor?" Emily questioned as she paced.

"What if he was a caretaker for the woman figure that caused all the pain? If she died of natural causes before he could do anything, that could've definitely made him want to release his anger out on surrogates," Morgan pointed out.

"The womanly figure must be his mother."

"If that is the stressor, then why does he also kill daughters? From what we've gathered he's targeted families of four with two of each gender. Why? What's the trigger?" Rossi questioned. Everyone stayed quiet as they processed the new piece of information.

"What if he belonged to a family of four? What if he and his father were bullied into submission. His mother to both his father and himself and his sister to him also," Emily started.

"If that's so and the mother did die, then his sister could be possibly continuing the degradation which could be the trigger. He's probably tired of it," Hotch nodded. Reid's phone rang and he picked it up.

"You're on speaker, Garcia," Reid said as he placed his phone on the table.

"Well my bunch of daisies, I have narrowed the list down to four possible men-" she begun but Reid interrupted.

"Narrow it even further to one of the caretaker's having their patient die in the last two weeks and check and see if he belonged to a family of four."

"Narrowing," she said. "Aha! We have a Michael Stole, belonged to a Mr. And Mrs. Stole along with an older sister. Mr. Stole passed away a few years ago and his mother passed away only two weeks ago of Leukemia. His sister however is still very much alive and I believe lives with Michael and now deceased mother."

"Garcia-" Hotch stared but Penelope grinned.

"Already sent the address to your phones," she stated before hanging up.

"The unsub attacked three days apart meaning he must be planning his next attack on the new family," Rossi thought out loud.

"Alright, let's go," Hotch grabbed his weapon, the sheriff following behind.

"Now that was quick for someone with a ghost trail," he muttered as they left the station. Morgan smiled at that, thinking about just how smart the doctor of the team really was.

I know there wasn't much moried in this one but I felt I should put in some criminal minds stuff haha. I promise it won't be this much in the future.
